"I don’t need to go to a damn hospital; I’m fine, for God’s sake." John, his face half-covered in blood, was trying to get out of the ambulance as soon as he received ergency dical treatnt.

However, the paradics, following strict instructions, wouldn’t let him leave. He needed to go to a hospital for a full-body checkup.

"Dad, you need to let the doctors examine you," said Dante, who had cald down a bit.

John didn’t look at his son and replied, "I know how I feel, and I’m fine. I’m not going to a damn hospital, so I won’t argue with you about it."

"I’ll handle everything." Dante’s words carried a aning his father didn’t entirely understand.

"By the way, how did you find out?" John had no idea how his son had learned about the accident. His original plan was to tell no one, especially not about what he suspected was an assassination attempt. Now that Dante was here, things were getting more complicated.

"I was with my brother when we heard a report on the police radio we use for ergencies, so we ca to help. You can’t imagine my surprise when I realized you were at the center of this accident."

"You’re a terrible liar, damn it." John tried to stand, but Dante’s hands firmly held his shoulders. "Dad, I’ve never asked you for anything. Not when I was a kid, not ever. I never demanded anything from you."

Looking his father in the eyes, Dante continued with a somber tone, "But this ti, I’m asking you to go to the hospital and get a full-body checkup. It’s not just to see if you have internal injuries; it’s to make sure you’re truly okay."

"There’s nothing wrong with ."

"I’m not letting you go. I don’t want to regret this mont for the rest of my life if sothing happens to you and I could have prevented it," Dante said firmly. Not going to the hospital was not an option.

"Fine, alright..."

Dante glanced at Crocodile, who was standing beside him, and said, "Take care of everything."

"I’ll be ready."

Confident that things would be handled, Dante got into the ambulance and headed to the hospital.

His initial concern was ensuring his father’s health before dealing with anything else. Afterward, he would visit the man who had dared to escalate this power struggle.

Things had changed. From this mont forward, Dante would focus on eliminating the company that had been trying to take his family’s land. Initially, he thought it unnecessary to put effort into dismantling a company that was already losing in court.

But now, his perspective had shifted. To remove nuisances, one had to deal with them both legally and illegally.

Since this company refused to take no for an answer, he would make them rember exactly who they were ssing with.

...

In a dark room, where only the sound of a single person breathing could be heard, silence reigned.

After a few minutes, a phone call broke the quiet, interrupting the deliberate breaths.

"Do they know?"

"They know."

"What’s the situation now?"

"If they know, you should leave Montana as soon as possible. If they find you, they’ll kill you, and the assassins you hired for protection won’t be enough to save your life."

Dan Jenkins, sitting in the dark room, ended the call, stared at the lit fireplace, and muttered, "My damn luck..."

Bang! Bang! Bang!

A series of gunshots echoed outside.

In an instant, it was as if hell had been unleashed, leaving Dan completely petrified.

Minutes later, the assassins he’d hired for protection were dead, each with a bullet to the head. Only then did a figure in a black suit step into the room, followed by several silhouettes.

"It’s a busy night."

"I didn’t think you’d get here so soon, Dante..." Dan watched Dante calmly walk in, stepping over the lifeless bodies strewn across the floor, and take a seat in front of him.

"Since you failed to kill my father, you should’ve been smarter. Now I’m going to kill you worse than a dog and then burn you," Dante said. He had thought long and hard about this while at the hospital with his father and sighed. "Killing isn’t my preferred thod, but now I understand the necessity of pulling the trigger when the ti cos."

Dan’s thoughts shifted slightly, and he cleared his throat, pretending not to be afraid. "If you kill , the company behind will just send soone else to take everything your family owns."

"I know I can’t kill all of you. The world doesn’t work that way. But what I can do is stop you, mark the ranch, and make sure people like you don’t take what my family has built over generations."

Dante was angry that this man had forced his hand. "Killing you would be a waste, but I could make your daughters pay the price."

"Don’t you dare touch my family!" Dan’s composure shattered the mont his children were ntioned.

"You didn’t think twice about going after mine. Why shouldn’t I kill your entire family, who are conveniently traveling right now?" Dante smirked slightly. "But there’s a way for you to make ands."

"I won’t do anything you ask."

Dante fell silent, smiled faintly, and muttered, "Then you’re useless to ."

Bang!

A bullet pierced Dan’s forehead, leaving him silent with no thoughts left to consider.

"That wasn’t the plan, sir," murmured Crocodile, staring at Dan’s corpse.

Dante set the gun aside and calmly replied, "Yes, but I saw in his eyes the desire to try again. It’s better to erase him. His wife will sell the shares she has in this land, and we’ll try to buy the rest."

"How do we cover this up?"

"An arson fire. Clean everything."

Dante knew this wouldn’t be difficult. Killing an old man who barely understood who he was dealing with wasn’t a brilliant move.

What worried him was his father starting to make connections about this sudden death.

But one thing was certain, Dante kept his promises.
