Bullets struck the walls, sending dust into the air.
Boom!
A series of explosions echoed outside, forcing the gunn inside the factory to take cover.
Debris flew everywhere from the blast zone.
However, before the gunfire had started, Tig had already moved aside to stay out of the line of fire and contacted the first team to initiate the attack from all angles.
He had Alejandro to thank. Without his advice, entering this place would have cost them the lives of allies—lives they could now likely avoid losing.
Bang! Bang! Bang!
The barrels of assault rifles continued firing bullets in the direction of the explosions.
As Tig had predicted, the gunfire had startled them. They were desperate to kill the intruders, even if it ant revealing their positions to the enemy.
However, the bullets from their assault rifles couldn’t pierce through concrete walls. Even if they could, Tig would have been long gone by now.
At that mont, n dressed in black tactical gear began forming up from all directions to launch their assault. The people outside, in the streets, had long since taken shelter in their hos, while the local police started issuing warnings to stay out of the conflict.
anwhile, Tig, inside the building, leaned against the wall and took a deep breath, gripping his assault rifle tightly as he waited for an opportunity to strike.
His last shot had missed its mark.
In fact, if the gunn hadn’t noticed sothing was wrong, Tig would have remained hidden and stabbed them in the back, using his dagger skills to silently eliminate them all.
But as he expected of himself, his knife skills were abysmal.
Moreover, at the last mont, he had been forced to fire at the man who hadn’t been taken down along the way because they had realized sothing was off.
That’s why, even at close range, he hadn’t been able to deliver a lethal shot.
Hearing the relentless gunfire, Tig shook his head in disappointnt.
If he were a bit younger, they’d all be dead by now.
Bang!
Amid all the gunfire, a distinct sniper shot rang out. It was incredibly loud, as if the weapon that made the sound was an anti-tank rifle.
"Ahhh! My leg! My leg...!" The man’s screams grew louder.
It had to be the reinforcents!
They had been waiting to enter, but upon hearing the gunfire, the snipers on-site began their cleanup work.
Everyone had stayed hidden when the battle began, but now it was ti to strike.
According to Tig and Cocodrilo’s plan, Tig would act as the main shooter. Only if he were surrounded or suppressed by gunfire would Cocodrilo, leading the assault team, make a move, creating enough space for them to counterattack.
The leader of the gunn, Erick, lay on the ground.
anwhile, the real firefight began as the main forces entered the area to conduct a full-scale cleanup.
Without hesitation, Tig pulled the trigger from the shadows to join in the fun.
Bang! Bang!
Two shots were fired.
Despite the assault team’s contributions, the results were far from satisfactory.
Like termites, n who died as soon as they stepped out of the doors held assault rifles that fired wildly in all directions from where the military-looking n advanced.
"These bastards are crazy!" Tig cursed under his breath, moving quickly.
One of the more experienced gunn had already spotted him and aid his weapon.
"Damn sons of bitches! Hahaha... You’re all dying with tonight!" Erick laughed maniacally, unable to hide his contempt for the attackers.
At first, Erick had been terrified when his n started disappearing one by one.
He thought they had encountered so kind of hidden assassin lurking in the shadows—soone he couldn’t see. The very thought made him fearful. But when he saw his last man fall to the ground after the gunfire, his fear shifted—it beca a fear he could confront.
From the mont Erick chose this life, he was ready to die. As his last wish, he intended to take down as many of the n attacking him tonight as possible.
"They’re military..."
Bang! Bang! Bang!
"Don’t be an idiot! We’ve got the military on our payroll, so they wouldn’t attack us unless we did sothing wrong."
"They’re behind us!"
Boom!
A powerful explosion shook everyone entrenched in the container area.
Erick’s original intent was to flee, but when he saw the rear also under attack, he knew this would be his end.
There had been thirty-six n on the base, and nearly all of them were dead. If he couldn’t co up with a reasonable explanation, even if he survived, the Jiménez Cartel would kill him.
Erick couldn’t stop trembling with rage. He vividly rembered the Jiménez’s ruthless executions.
He had already planned to flee the area and hide from the Jiménez if he failed to capture one of the attackers and bring them with him.
He thought he might still pull it off, using his weapons and wits, even if his days wouldn’t be as glorious after tonight.
That thought fueled his anger. He wasn’t ready to give up his luxurious life just yet.
"Die!"
Erick didn’t realize that as he peeked out again, one of the attackers had him in their sights.
Bang!
And that was when everything went dark for him.
At that exact mont, Erick’s head exploded like a waterlon.
