879: The Gate of Bygones – The Old Shaman’s Lie 879: The Gate of Bygones – The Old Shaman’s Lie In the secret chamber, a sudden surge of energy fluctuations specific to the Demigod’s Inherent Psychic Domain erupted, and more than a dozen figures appeared in a dark room, “swoosh, swoosh, swoosh,” the sound of arrows piercing the air rang out as the figures appeared, and countless arrows were launched in all directions, almost covering the entire space of the chamber.

In the sa chamber, there also stood dozens of skeletons, which had regained their ability to move thanks to the Energy of Death that nourished them.

Soul Fire flickered in their eye sockets, and although they lacked consciousness and were not summoned to besiege the invaders, they still instinctively patrolled the surroundings, seeking the living beings they despised.

Therefore, when the living beings suddenly appeared in the secret chamber, the dozens of Undead did not hesitate to pounce on the intruders, intending to cleanse their hatred for the living with the blood of the invaders, but what t them was not blood but a sky-full of arrow volleys.

The arrows imbued with the forest’s Life Force were like deadly poison to the Undead, causing them to emit soul-piercing screeches only spirits could hear from the flas within their eye sockets.

Following the arrow volley, there were Energy Bullets.

For every Energy Bullet Christo fired from his gun, it would, under the effect of bizarre Illusion Magic, multiply into hundreds of semi-real energy orbs.

Each bullet that struck an enemy exploded with trendous force, while each one that missed vanished into thin air like a ghostly shadow, leaving no trace to be found.

Although the dozens of Undead skeletons appeared insignificant, they were once powerful mbers of the Triclops race.

Even in death, they retained so of their forr strength, which made each one possess Legendary Rank power.

Demigod attacks, powerful and deadly though they were, did not target specifically due to the wide range of damage; hence, about ten corpses managed to evade the fate of turning back into scattered bone ashes.

However, what followed was a burst of raging flas.

Right after Christo’s scatter shot, a cloaked figure, Philarx, snorted coldly, and with his ancient magic staff, he heavily tapped the ground.

Suddenly, the pitch-black chamber was flooded with bright light, and scorching flas filled the entire chamber, engulfing all spaces except where the group stood.

In an instant, the chamber, large enough to hold hundreds of people, turned as terrifying as a lava inferno.

The high-temperature flas rolled and baked everything in the room, leaving no chance for the Undead to dodge or breathe.

The Power of Death that enabled their movent was drained in seconds, and their bones were turned to ashes by the flas, until the last Undead fell.

Only then did the cloaked Mage tap the ground with his staff again, and the flas that filled the room disappeared as suddenly as they had appeared, leaving behind no evidence of their presence except for the scorched walls and bone ashes on the floor.

“Wind of the Prairie,” Finche, the Wolf Tribe Beastman, spoke with his strange accent in the common tongue, as his bulky Totem Column swept gracefully through the air.

The Wind of the Prairie followed the movents of the Totem Column, refreshing the almost vacuum-like chamber with a fresh breeze.

After altering the environnt, the old Beastman did not imdiately cease his actions.

The Totem Column whirled in the air for a few rounds and then landed heavily on the ground.

A thunderous roar erupted from below the Totem Column, and countless sparks of electricity spread from the base of the column to the walls, rging with them to create a periter of electrical barriers.

Any Undead from the outside world attempting to touch the walls would be charred into cinders in an instant.

“Good, rest for ten minutes,” Kyle said, taking advantage of the defensive barrier Finche established with electricity that temporarily kept the pursuing Undead at bay.

“Carl, you rest near the door.

If any slip through, you’re in charge of killing them.

Master Klarke, your expertise is much appreciated.

Guard the other door if needed, though there are fewer enemies in that direction.

Maya, sing the Song of Light to help everyone recover.

Your Majesty, you…”

“The Call of the Forest.” Flare’s eyes, brimming like water, swept over Kyle’s face, her gaze almost speaking as it stalled Kyle’s orders.

With a soft, tender smile and a gentle chant of a spell, Flare plucked the strings of her hunting bow, playing a series of lodious notes.

As the intoxicating music played, an extraordinary thing happened.

Dozens of vines erged from the stone floor, intertwining and gathering together to form thirteen trellis chairs in a circle.

But in the blink of an eye, thirteen chairs were reduced to twelve—the vines of the missing chair began to entangle once more, eventually resembling a table.

From the upward-facing side of the table, ample fragrant fruits sprouted.

“Woo, you discriminate against too,” Dillie, lying on the ground, wailed, clutching his head in sorrow, “I also want to sit on a chair.

Why did you make a chair and then tear it apart again?

That’s too much.”

“Because you’re a lion.” “That’s right, that’s right, and actually, we only need eleven chairs.” “Exactly, the other person can sit on you.” “This way, you’re not just a mode of transportation; you can also be furniture.” “Haha, in that case, sister Flare can save a bit of energy too.”
