699: Chapter 60 Survivor Freya_1 699: Chapter 60 Survivor Freya_1 The instant Freya’s feet touched the ground again, she abruptly fell backward, greedily breathing in the icy air of the tundra, as if there might not be another chance.

The terrifying blizzard appeared out of nowhere and disappeared without a trace.

From the howling gale to the gently breeze, it lasted no more than thirty-eight seconds.

In the world after those thirty-eight seconds, no one could believe that this tundra had just endured a baptism of death.

The beautiful princess stretched out her limbs, lying spread-eagle motionless, assuring herself that she had survived.

Exhaustion and pain appeared suddenly like uninvited guests in the young girl’s senses, making her frown involuntarily.

Freya forcefully slapped her own face twice.

After the intense control in the wind, fatigue swept over her consciousness, making her desire to lie on the ground and nap to replenish the energy spent monts ago overwhelming.

But without having to think, she knew what it ant to sleep in this situation.

Many courageous adventurers had died quietly in their sleep on the tundra, never having the chance to wake up.

She did not plan on joining them, so even though she was completely depleted of energy, she forced herself to sit up and assess the damage inflicted on her during the flight—or rather, the harm done during her tumble in the wind.

“Wow, this is really grim.” She didn’t initially realize the extent of her injuries.

Only now upon closer inspection did she see how severely she had been damaged.

From when the blizzard lifted her up to when she managed to create her Mana Shield in a dizzying whirl, it took no more than two seconds.

However, it was within these two seconds that the ice shards in the wind cut her like knives, leaving over forty wounds of various sizes on her body.

The lighter wounds were re gashes in the skin, bleeding slightly, but the deeper wounds…

Freya sighed in resignation at one particular injury on her thigh.

The wound on her thigh looked serious, the skin covered in blood.

The bright red against her fair complexion made for a frightening sight.

Underneath the blood was a wound over twenty centiters long, stretching diagonally across her leg.

The flesh on either side of the wound curled outward, reminiscent of a vicious mouth, wide open as if mockingly laughing at Freya’s misfortune.

The pale fat seeped out of the injury, exposing the red muscle underneath and a significant amount of blood gushed forth from the wound.

“Well, I guess I got lucky, sohow it missed a major artery.” Freya chuckled while grimacing in pain.

She unstrapped the backpack from her back, the simple action stretched her wounds and forced out a grunt.

She fumbled for so dicine and bandages in the most accessible part of the bag.

After so consideration, she aid her gun at the icy ground and shot an Energy Bullet.

The searing Energy Bullet made a shallow hole and shattered the ice into pieces.

Freya picked up two thin icicles, hesitated for a few seconds, then gritted her teeth and stuck them into her gaping wound, the result was a muffled scream of pain.

The icicles did staunch the bleeding though.

The wound froze over quickly under the low temperature, at least the bleeding had stopped.

Through the scarf wrapping her face, one could imagine the grimace on her face as she quickly administered the dicine and wrapped her most severe injury in bandages, then taking care of the other dium-level injuries.

Only then did she put on a spare cotton jacket, replacing the badly torn one.

Even though she replaced her outer clothing, the layers of cotton underneath were worn.

Though it wouldn’t cause her to freeze to death, the chilling winds still seeped in through the tears in her clothing.

The frigid temperature may be deadly to any average person but for a Legendary Rank professional like her, it was sothing she could endure for a few days.

“Ah~~~ it hurts so much.” Freya had been the city lord’s daughter since she was a child, living a life of comfort.

Despite having experienced so suffering during the half-year’s adventure she went on with Catherine several years ago, she could not compare to the other three when it ca to enduring pain.

Even after treating her wounds, she couldn’t help but let out a low moan.

But instead of helping to alleviate her physical discomfort, it probably did more for her ntal frustration.

“I’m so hungry.” Freya rubbed her stomach.

Despite a heavy breakfast, the constant threat to her life depleted her energy rapidly.

Although not truly hungry, the sensation of hunger would not cease to irritate her consciousness.

She craved food intensely but regrets that due to the limited space in her bag, she did not bring backup provisions.

Furthermore, Catherine’s strict control over her diet deprived her of her habit of carrying snacks.

But this couldn’t bother the intelligent princess too much.

The young girl suddenly gave a sly smile, and upon confirming that the terrifying Catherine was nowhere to be seen, she carefully ripped open an inner compartnt of her backpack.

A satisfied smile curled her lips as she bit into a square of the sweet slling snack.

“Hehe, you’ll never imagine, big sister, that I have stashed so sweets.

Humph, you can’t control here.” Freya relished in the pleasure of her favorite sweet lting in her mouth, a sweet smile on her face as she teased the absent Catherine.

But her joy slowly stiffened, her head slowly drooped, and she let out a deep sigh, “Ah, I wonder if there’s any chance that you would ever control again.”

Freya stood motionlessly for a few more minutes, her expression varied, sotis worried and sotis flustered.

She was aware of her current situation.

In this vast tundra, she was alone.

Devoid of food, a safe place to stay, or even the company of companions, the only things she had left besides the cold machinery and gears were pain and a chilled body.

“Freya, you can’t stay like this.

You’re the child of the demigod Odin, a proud princess, a mber of the Nellie Adventure Team.

You shouldn’t be bowing to any hurdles.” After a mont of desolation, Freya, disregarding the pain her wounds radiated, abruptly stood up, renewing her spirits and murmured while surveying her surroundings, “The question is, where on earth am I?”
