451: Chapter 19 Unexpected Events on the Hot Springs Trip_1 451: Chapter 19 Unexpected Events on the Hot Springs Trip_1 “This hot spring is great.

Many locals would co to soak every few days.” In a dimly lit cave, mist rose from the warm spring water, making the whole cave ambiguous.

Scalding hot spring water flowed from the spring’s eye, through a cold underground dark river, gathering in a dozen large pools before flowing towards the outside via the exit within the pool.

You couldn’t imagine such a place existing in the dry, barren mountains outside.

The hot spring’s location is relatively remote and not easily accessible, so there are not many patrons.

Only so lucky travelers, led by local guides, co here to enjoy the hot spring.

“Although hot springs exist elsewhere, this one is very special.

If you soak in this spring regularly, your skin will beco fair, delicate, and smooth.

Additionally, your body will emit a very faint fragrance.” In the mist, several girls sat in a small pool where no one else was present, comfortably bathed in the sulfur-slling water.

The warm water concealed the girls’ skin, but failed to cover their slim necks and elegant lower jaws.

“But Vivian, I’m sorry.” Maggie dipped her mouth into the water and made so bubbles: “I shouldn’t have been screaming just now.

I’m so sorry.”

“That’s okay.” Vivian sat close to Catherine, her short blue hair was loose and sticking wet to her head.

Catherine was carefully combing her hair with a comb.

Upon hearing Maggie’s apology, Vivian smiled calmly: “It’s true, I do look scary.

I don’t bla you for being frightened.

Sotis I even scare myself when I look in the mirror.”

“No, everyone has been good to , I shouldn’t have been so scared.” Maggie shook her head in gloom: “I’m so la.”

“Really, it’s okay.” Vivian scooped up so water and splashed it on Maggie’s face: “We know you didn’t an anything an by it.

Co, let’s play in the water.”

“Don’t move around.” Catherine smacked Vivian’s head and pointed at her face, which had turned red from the hot spring: “Are you five years old?

Stop playing around, sit tight, and stay alert.”

“What exactly are you all on guard for, and why do you always carry your weapons in the hot spring?” Maggie asked with a puzzled expression: “Are you worried about magical beasts?

Don’t worry, there won’t be any here.

Magical beasts can’t survive here.”

“No, it’s sothing far more terrifying than a magical beast.” Catherine touched the newly assembled hand crossbow and glanced around the cave through the fog.

Over a dozen pools connected by the hot spring are scattered in three different caves, which allowed male and female guests to separate.

Five pools of varying sizes were located in the cave where the girls were, and a total of over twenty won soaked in them.

Catherine said solemnly: “In order to keep everyone here safe, and to stop evil deeds from happening, we must stay alert all the ti, because a beast disguised as a human can quietly sneak in if you are not careful.”

“Haha, are you referring to Mr.

Pannis?” Maggie laughed dryly.

“Indeed, him.” With a splash, Lina erged from the water next to Maggie, shaking off the droplets from her silver hair: “We should never let down our guard against him.

Otherwise, he would transform into a beast and devour you.”

“Master Pannis would never do that.” Freya nestled entirely in the water, leaving only her face exposed.

She spoke in a lodious voice that didn’t match her physique: “Master Pannis is perfect and upright.

How could he do sothing like peeping at ladies bathing?

It must be due to your prejudice.

You have lived with him for nearly a year, has he ever peeked at you bathing or changing clothes?

No, right?

Otherwise you wouldn’t trust him this much.”

“That’s because he never shows his true teeth to the people he’s familiar with.” Lina put on her glasses from the edge of the pool: “But with fresh, unfamiliar won?

Heh heh…”

“Ahhhh~~~” A scream suddenly ca from the entrance of the cave.

The owner of the voice was obviously a panicked woman.

“Here he is.” The girls’ faces changed.

Catherine and Lina leaped out of the pool, wrapping their enticing bodies with their bath towels, and grabbed their long swords and warhamr.

As they jumped barefoot on the shore and rushed to the tunnel at the entrance of the cave, they discovered a young woman, probably around her late twenties, squatting on the ground with her head in her hands.

She was shivering all over with fear, her face was white as a ghost, and she kept mumbling: “A ghost, there’s a ghost.”

“Wake up, calm down.” Catherine gently ordered as she pressed the young woman’s shoulders: “Look around, there’s nothing here, open your eyes.”

At her final command, the terrified woman reflexively opened her eyes.

The first thing she saw was Catherine’s eyes.

Catherine’s calm, resolute gaze seed to have strong infectious power, quickly calming down the woman’s chaotic mind.

She blankly stared at Catherine for a while, then looked around to find no terrifying objects in sight.

She collapsed, crying with her face in her hands.

“It’s okay, it’s okay.” Having pulled the woman back from the edge of a ntal breakdown, Catherine patted her back gently and asked softly: “Now, tell us, what did you see that scared you so much?”
