The sound of knocking tore through the silence of the temporary residence of the adventure team.

It was a two-story house borrowed by Dora from the rcenary group.

The house was located in a relatively secluded area, which perfectly fulfilled Vivian and Lina’s need for tranquility.

On the evening of the next day, Dora, along with the rest of the thirty-seven team mbers, arrived at the house as agreed.

The door swung open, and Dora, standing outside, was taken aback.

Lina’s pretty face was expressionless, she was just staring at her vacantly.

“Li….Lina?” Dora cautiously called out.

Lina nodded, still with no expression on her face.

“Did anything…happen?

Did I do anything wrong?” Dora asked, blinking her eyes innocently.

Lina shook her head, still emotionless.

Now Dora had no clue what to do next.

It was quite awkward standing at the doorstep.

Lina just stared at her for a while, then after about half a minute, she moved away and signaled towards the interior of the house before walking back inside.

“What’s with her?” As the crowd entered the house, they saw about ten chairs arranged in the center of the living room on the first floor.

On one side, there was a pile of cushions with Pannis sitting on one of the chairs.

Vivian and Catherine were nowhere to be found.

Seeing Pannis, Dora felt as if she had found a lifeline, and she hurriedly asked, “What happened to her all of a sudden?”

“It’s nothing, don’t worry about her, she’ll be fine after a while.” Pannis shrugged indifferently, “Intermittent confusion, simply put, she’s gone crazy.”

At this point, Lina was sitting to the side.

Hearing Pannis’s evaluation, she still didn’t speak.

She stared at him blankly until Pannis started to sweat under the intensity of her gaze.

“Alright, I got it.” Dora sighed helplessly, “Everyone, find a place to sit.

Oh, where’s Catherine and Vivian?”

“Upstairs.” Lina’s voice ca without even a hint of emotion.

“Upstairs?” Dora asked in confusion, “What are they doing upstairs?”

“Sleeping.” Lina answered succinctly.

“Hm, is that Dora?” Vivian peeked out from the stairs.

She was wearing a robe with large cat prints on it.

With sleepy eyes, she yawned and made her way down the stairs, “You’re here already?”

“Already?” Dora felt as if her mind was about to explode.

She glanced at the setting sun outside, “It’s evening already, it’s not early anymore.”

“We thought you’d co later tonight.” Vivian yawned again, and jumped onto a long lounge chair, “So sleepy, wish I could sleep so more.”

“Let’s go get Catherine.” Pannis said to Dora, “She’s really tired.

She went to lie down for a bit and then fell asleep.”

“Did she not rest well last night?” Dora asked.

“For most of the past twenty days, she’s been the one driving.

And last night, she didn’t let her guard down and reviewed our adventure equipnt again.

By the ti she was done, it was already midnight.” Pannis explained.

“Today, she dragged out for half a day shopping for more supplies.

She couldn’t hold on any more and crashed.

But she’s been asleep for an hour and a half now.

We just need to wake her up, she should be fine.”

Keeping Dora behind, Pannis led her to a closed room upstairs.

Pannis knocked lightly, but there was no response.

He frowned and knocked a few tis harder, but still got no response.

“Do you think sothing’s happened to her?” Dora asked with concern.

“No.” Pannis shook his head, “Her breathing is steady, she’s just sleeping too soundly.”

“So, what do we do now?” Dora asked helplessly, “Should we break the door?”

“No need for that, I have a secret weapon.” Pannis grinned as he reached into his pocket and pulled out sothing, concealing it in his hand.

“What is that?” Dora asked curiously.

“Shh.” Pannis raised his empty hand, finger to his lips, then slowly opened his clenched fist.

There, lying quietly in the center of his palm, were two shiny gold coins, “My secret weapon.”

Before Dora could ask anything else, Pannis flicked one of the coins into the air.

As it fell, he flicked the other coin in a similar way.

The two coins collided with a clear clink and, with the impact of the collision, the first coin flew again on the sa trajectory while the second one quickly fell back into his palm.

Pannis kept repeating these actions, making the coins constantly collide in the air, with the clink echoing in room.

On the fifth collision of the two coins, the door of the room burst open.

A figure rushed out at an incredible speed, the right hand extending like a flash of lightning, catching the two coins which had just completed their collision and were still touching.

It was Catherine, dressed in a light blue gown, her hair ssy from sleep, her eyes still closed, her movents a little stiff – clearly still half-asleep.
