1296: Chapter 82 Catherine’s Answer Sheet 1296: Chapter 82 Catherine’s Answer Sheet “Grandpa Snape.” Catherine didn’t need to look to know who was opening the door beside her.

In an instant, she switched to a smiling face and approached, saying, “Why have you co out so soon?

Didn’t you have a longer chat with Grandfather?”

The Old Marquis walked out the door with the support of the knight girl.

It might have been an illusion, but in the eyes of Pannis and Catherine, the elder seed much more spirited than before, not only appearing as youthful and vibrant as in his younger days but even his steps had beco brisker.

He said with a beaming smile, “That old rascal got a bit tired and ran off to sleep.

What an idiot!

Staying awake for a long ti doesn’t help his recovery at all, yet he insisted on sitting there and scolding .

But now I feel relieved, he ntioned that given the current situation, he could wake up by himself every few months or up to a year, and as ti goes on, the frequency of his awakening will only increase.

Moreover, according to his forecast, he might fully recover in about five years and won’t need to sleep anymore.”

“That really is good news.” Catherine stayed by the elder’s side, softly adding, “Now you must take good care of yourself.

You just turned eighty this year, and if you maintain your health well, you have many more years to live.

When Grandfather wakes up, you can travel and explore places together just like you used to.”

“Hahaha, certainly!

With that old rascal still alive, how could I possibly let him go off and die on his own?

I definitely have to keep going to see who can hold out longer,” the Old Marquis laughed heartily, his voice filled with resolve.

After a pause, he frowned and said, “No, that’s not right.

He can’t really be considered alive now, can he?

Never mind, I’ll put these thoughts aside for now.

He’s made suffer for so many years; I’m not going to let him off easily.”

“Hehe, I support you.

You should settle accounts with Grandfather properly for those years,” Catherine giggled, covering her mouth, “He left us all behind and wandered in the forest for over forty years.

When he recovers, we’ll make him compensate us properly.”

“Exactly, that’s what we should do.” The elder paused, leaning on his cane and grabbing Catherine’s hand, he said, “Dear Catherine, I really have to thank you for this.

I only dared to dream of seeing him again, and you made that dream co true.

I don’t know how I can ever thank you enough.”

“You shouldn’t say that, Grandpa Snape.” The knight girl gently enclosed the old man’s frail hands in her palms and spoke softly, “I simply brought our lost Grandfather back ho.

Isn’t that what every child should do?

Besides, if it weren’t for certain soone, I doubt we could have achieved anything, right?”

“Ah?

What?

Oh, yes, yes.” Pannis was observing the actions of a few journalists who had mingled into the banquet below until Catherine gently kicked him, prompting him to say in a baffled tone, “But what exactly are you talking about, what’s right?”

“Tch, never mind.” The knight girl scrunched her nose and huffed, supporting the Old Marquis’s arm, she said, “Let’s go back to the room and rest, Grandpa Snape, and ignore this pretender, otherwise, he’ll surely be the death of us one day.”

“Hey, why are you scolding again?” Pannis, feeling self-conscious, followed behind, scratching his head and muttering, “Oh mighty Lord Yarra, when you created the world, why did you make females so utterly baffling?

Did sothing go wrong sowhere?”

“Hahaha, your relationship seems to be getting better and better,” the Old Marquis laughed heartily, contentedly saying, “Seeing you like this makes very happy.”

“See here, my lord, you really should take a closer look; I’m the innocent one getting scolded,” Pannis protested with a look of aggrievent, but he suddenly changed his tone upon eting Catherine’s gaze, “What?

No, no, no, I didn’t say anything, hahaha, I was just marveling at why the weather tonight is so nice?

Haha, yes, yes, the weather is indeed lovely.”

“Hehe, poor Master Kyle,” the Old Marquis looked at Pannis with a peculiar gaze, inspecting him back and forth until Pannis shivered under his gaze, then he nodded appreciatively and said to Catherine, “Very good, it seems you haven’t forgotten what I urged you about at the dance a few years ago, hahaha, I was worried back then that you might just randomly pick soone to appease , but it turns out to be genuine, and surprisingly suitable for you, now I’m relieved.”

“Grandpa Snape, why bring that up again?” Catherine’s cheeks reddened, and she said with her head hung like any ordinary girl, “What happened before was in the past, and it has nothing to do with today; I didn’t co here today because of that dance.”

“Hahaha, I understand, I understand,” the Old Marquis laughed even more oddly, “Anyway, your answer pleases greatly, I fully support your choice and will represent them in blessing you, hmm, now that the old bastard is back, I guess I don’t need to represent them anymore.

But no worries, you can rest assured, if that old bastard dares to object, I will settle the score with him.”

“Yes.” This ti, Catherine, unlike earlier, did not refute anything but instead blushed, gently nodded, and released the hand of the elder, walked over to face him directly, slightly tilting her head, her gaze, like water, focused on Pannis.

Pannis was looking around, seemingly unaware of the knight girl’s movents, but Catherine was in no hurry, maintaining her silence, her gentle gaze never leaving Pannis for a mont.

The silence lasted for a good half minute, Pannis’s actions becoming more and more stiff, until he could no longer pretend and had to et Catherine’s gaze, wearing a helpless and bitter smile.

A faint smile appeared on the girl’s face; she still said nothing, only quietly, softly looking at Pannis, simply waiting silently.

“You’ll regret this.” Under the girl’s steady gaze, Pannis whispered a final warning, but her tender look continued to hold him, showing no sign of backing down.

Catherine’s response made Pannis let out a deep sigh, he stepped slowly to her side, Catherine bit her lip, her eyes gleaming with added sweetness, took Pannis’s arm and took a step forward, slightly lifting her skirt and bending her knees, giving a very formal greeting to the Old Marquis.

At the sa ti, Pannis, with a complex gaze, removed his hat with one hand, placed it over his chest, and bent down, completing the greeting ritual in sync with Catherine’s actions.

“Grandpa Snape,” the knight girl said with a blushing face as they finished their salute, “We’ve co to visit you.”
