Chapter 24: Realm Of Madness [20] Sick
Three left...
Of the original horde that had stread towards him, only three were left in proper shape. Two more were crashed in a tree so space away from him, and they wouldn’t be getting up anyti soon. His legs were, after all, as strong as steel.
Like a normal, not deranged human, Leonidas was about to slam into another Caw Caw.
He moved his hands, forming a gauntlet of crystal around his arm, wrapping it in a protective embrace, one that would shred anything that touched it into confetti.
Leonidas let a vicious smile play on his face. He was delighted at the thought of killing off the vile race of wingless midgets.
I am rely ending their suffering. How hard life must have been to them...being born into a defective race and all.
Leonidas laughed at his thoughts and adjusted his body, spearing forward again. Cold wind brushed against his skin, occasionally slipping into his wounds, causing him to yelp in pain. There was no haunting flute, which Leonidas chalked up to the simple fact of the wind being ford from his interference, not nature.
A few seconds later, he was in front of the bird. Leonidas’s arm shot forward, wrapping around the unsuspecting victim. His talons sank into its flesh, viscous blood slipping from the wounds. The bird scread in pain, a crow-like sound, the sa sound that had made Leonidas na them Caw Caw.
The bird tried to flee, sothing invisible trying to push through Leonidas’s grip—probably Insenium. Unfortunately for the bird, Leonidas held firm. The plethora of flowers stabbed further into its skin, stealing its life.
With a final crunch, Leonidas crushed the life out of the bird. Only one question remained: How was he going to land without turning into crimson paint...chunky paint.
"Willow! Save !" He scread at the top of his lungs, his voice shrill and without an ounce of fear. It was amused even, as if he wondered whether Willow would save him or not.
His gaze naturally tracked her location. Her situation wasn’t nearly as precarious as his own. Only three opponents remained around her, the rest charred and burnt into smoky corpses.
Wait..charred? Fire? How...where...what the hell?
His thoughts had co to a sudden stop, so much so that he didn’t even notice the incoming ground beneath him changing states.
A pool of rainbow liquid had ford, chunky and bubbling, almost similar to muddy water. A thin line connected the circle to Willow’s feet.
She had managed to change the state of land so far away from her...in a single word, it was impressive. Very much so, Leonidas doubted he could manage such fineness while staying focused on his fight.
There was still the question of where she had gotten that fire, but he would focus on it later. He had better stuff to do...specifically slaughtering Caw Caws family.
Leonidas curled into himself, a ball of black and blonde fell from the sky like a falling star, splashing straight into the muddy pool of rainbow water. A massive cloud of water jutted from the impact, a rainbow raining from the sky.
It would have been a beautiful sight...if not for the two crows that were heading towards him. He was still in the pool, but had sensed them before he saw them.
His [No Will] tendrils were still wrapped around the crows, sapping them of their intelligence and will, two core concepts that made an individual. Alongside mory and soul.
He was actively directing his Insenium through those invisible whips; as such, he knew where they ended...and by extension, where the Caw Caw was at all tis.
Leonidas pushed himself out of the hole with leisure, his movents lethargic and slow, as if he was on a vacation and just took a quick swim.
His cerulean eyes scanned the surroundings, noting the lack of anything...other than a few jutted pieces of rocks.
Perfect.
Leonidas ran towards them, the birds almost upon him. His plan was simple. Force the birds to co to him, and when they were about to collide into him, he would release his hold on them, letting them gain their sense of self again.
It would be hilarious. He wondered how they would scramble once they realized what had happened around them. And right in their confusion, he would bash them with a rock, the sa one he was currently standing on.
It was large, easily bigger than his body, and probably weighed a lot.
The birds brushed by him, so close he could feel their hot breath on his face, the disgusting sll making his nose scrunch up. Leonidas ducked and deactivated his [No Will] ability, the tendrils disappearing from the two pilgrims.
Almost instantly, the two veered off path, barely avoiding a fatal collision. Leonidas could see questions swirling in their minds, their eyes slowly regaining clarity.
They looked at him in sync, a silent thought passing between the two. Alas, it was too late.
Sorry, not sorry.
Leonidas jumped up and kicked both at the sa ti, legs spread as if he were doing a split..which he was. His body was insanely flexible, and it proved.
The poor pilgrims that had been kicked both flew in opposite directions, or would have flown had Leonidas not grabbed one by the neck.
He chased after the other, his broken ruby talons lightly sinking into its chest. The bird clawed at him, but his flowers held firm, undeterred.
He stopped right in front of the Caw Caw he hadn’t grabbed, and threw the first one on top of it. A muffled groan escaped both birds, and Leonidas smiled in delight.
Excellent, so they do feel more pain when they can think for themselves.
He examined them like a perfectly normal human in a perfectly normal way, then stomped on them for good asure.
"Little dipshits, there has been a change of plan. I’m now going to stomp you to death instead of crushing you with a rock. I apologize for the inconvenience. Do forgive ."
His feet flattened the earth beneath him...along with the birds, blood, and bones sticking in a ssy puddle.
Maybe he was a little sick in the head.
