The room was quiet except for the faint sound of breathing. Sheets tangled across the bed, sunlight slipping through the curtains like it was too shy to look directly at what had just happened.
Anna lay sprawled across the bed, a small, content smile on her face. Her cheeks glowed faintly pink, her chest rising and falling in calm rhythm. She looked completely satisfied—like soone who had just gotten everything she wanted.
There was a faint trace of blood on the sheets, along with several damp spots that clearly showed the aftermath of what had just happened.
Ren, however, sat at the edge of the bed, shirt half-open and a frown creasing his forehead. His hair was a ss, his eyes staring blankly at the wall as if trying to decode so ancient text only he could see.
"Why… didn't it work?" he muttered under his breath.
He glanced at Anna again. She looked so happy, almost glowing, yet sothing about it felt off. Ren scratched the back of his neck. According to everything he knew about his curse, after sothing that intense, he should've copied her skill. That was the whole point of this.
But nothing.
Not a flicker.
No new skill notification. No sudden surge of power.
Just… silence.
He rubbed his temples, feeling a mix of confusion and annoyance. "Did I do sothing wrong? No, that can't be it. Everything went exactly as planned. I had sex with her and ejaculated inside her."
"Hmm?" Anna's voice was soft and dreamy. "Ren, what's wrong? You look… troubled. You feel okay?"
Ren forced a small smile. "It's nothing. Just… tired."
Anna giggled and pulled the blanket over herself. "You were amazing, though. I didn't think you'd be that good. I heard n were quite dull when it cos to sex." Her tone was teasing, and she stretched her arms lazily, looking completely at peace. "I guess those rumors were false. You were just like those n in porns,"
As if realizing she had said sothing she shouldn't, Anna quickly closed her mouth. But when she saw that Ren didn't seem to mind, she felt relieved.
"Yeah… glad you enjoyed," he replied, standing up slowly. His mind wasn't even processing her words properly. He was already running through possible explanations in his head.
Why didn't he copy her skill? Did he misunderstand how his curse worked? Or… was sothing wrong with Anna herself?
No. That didn't make sense. Everything about her scread normal—well, as normal as a girl from this gender roles reversed world who was now completely obsessed with him could be.
He took a deep breath and looked at Anna again. "Uh, where's the washroom?"
Anna, still basking in her post-glow daze, blinked. Then her expression changed in an instant. Her body stiffened, her smile froze, and sweat appeared on her forehead like she'd just rembered sothing terrible.
"Ah! Uh, straight down the hall. Turn right and you'll find it!" she blurted out, sitting up so fast the blanket slipped down a bit.
Ren's eyebrow twitched. His eyes flicked to a clearly visible door inside the room—the one that obviously led to a private bathroom.
"Right," he muttered, realizing she probably had things in there she didn't want him to see. Sex toys, dirty clothes… maybe sothing weird. Who knew. "Got it."
He grabbed his pants, pulled them up uncomfortably, buttoned his shirt halfway, and unlocked the door. "I'll be back."
"Take your ti!" Anna said, waving cheerfully as she collapsed back onto the bed.
The hallway outside was quiet but grand, lined with paintings and tall windows that filled the place with soft light. As Ren walked, a few maids and butlers passed by, giving him curious glances—so shocked, others whispering to each other behind their hands.
Ren ignored them. He'd gotten used to weird looks ever since he was born in this world. It was just part of his life now.
Finally, after turning right like Anna said, he found the washroom.
And wow.
"This looks like sothing out of a movie," he muttered, staring at the marble tiles, gold-rimd mirrors, and an actual chandelier above the sink.
But he wasn't here to admire the decor. He shut the door behind him, locked it, and leaned against the counter with a deep sigh.
"Okay… think. Why didn't I get her skill?"
He reached into his pocket, pulled out his phone, and dialed a familiar number.
The line rang twice before a chaotic background answered—shouting, explosions, and the sharp rat-tat-tat of automatic gunfire.
"Luxy?" he said flatly.
"Yo, Ren. Make it quick—I'm in the middle of a ranked match!" her voice replied, half yelling, half distracted.
Even through the phone, Ren could hear soone on her end yelling, "COVER !" followed by more gunshots.
He pinched his nose. "Of course you are."
"Headshot! Let's go!" Luxy shouted, clearly ignoring him. Then, realizing Ren was still on the line, she sighed. "What do you want, man? I'm kinda busy clutching right now."
"This is important," Ren said quickly. "Like, system-related important."
Luxy groaned. "Fine. Hold up." Her voice turned distant as she muttered to her teammates in gar-speak. "AFK for a sec, girls, cover mid! If I die, I'm reporting you all."
Then she ca back. "Alright, what's the crisis this ti?"
Ren hesitated for half a second. "I… had sex with Anna."
There was silence on the line. Then Luxy replied in a flat, confused tone. "Congratulations? Want to send flowers or sothing?"
"That's not the issue!" Ren snapped. "I didn't copy her skill."
Luxy's tone imdiately shifted. "Wait. What?"
"Yeah. Nothing. No notification, no power gain, no sign of absorption. It's like it never happened."
"Are you sure?" Luxy asked, her voice serious now. The gunfire in the background faded—maybe she'd muted her ga. "You're not just… tired and misreading things?"
Ren frowned. "What do you take for? I checked the system window three tis. It's not there."
Luxy humd. "Weird… what's Anna's affection level at?"
Ren pulled up his system interface, eyes flicking over the glowing blue text.
Annaliese Morgenstern (Anna) – 66% (Dangerous zone...approaching!)
"It's at… sixty-six percent."
"sixty-six?" Luxy repeated. "That's plenty high. Definitely enough for a transfer."
"I know, right?" Ren said. "So why didn't it work?"
There was silence again, only the faint crackle of her mic. Then Luxy spoke. "Let ask you sothing. Was there anything different between Anna and iling?"
Ren blinked. "Different? Not really. Both were crazy in their own ways."
"No, I an when you did it," Luxy said impatiently. "Emotionally. ntally."
Ren frowned, thinking back. "Well… when I was with iling, I guess I wanted her. I was… into it, you know? It wasn't just about the skill."
"And with Anna?"
Ren rubbed his chin. "I did it because I wanted her ability. It was… strategic."
Luxy's voice imdiately brightened. "Bingo."
"…What?"
"That's your answer," she said. "Your curse—the Yandere Magnet—might not respond properly if your intentions are forced or selfish. Rember, it's a combination of two divine sources: Mother Goddess and Father. Those two don't exactly get along in how they define love."
Ren frowned deeper. "So you're telling if I don't genuinely care about the girl, even if she's head-over-heels for , I can't copy her skill?"
"Pretty much," Luxy said casually. "It's probably so kind of emotional resonance requirent. You can't just treat love like a transaction."
Ren stared at the mirror, his reflection glaring back at him. "That's… cruel."
Luxy chuckled lightly. "You think the gods play fair? You knew things weren't going to be easy when we were forced to this. Consider it… divine irony."
"So I have to actually fall for them?" Ren muttered. "Every single one of them?"
"If you want their powers, yeah. You can't fake it," Luxy replied. "Looks like the curse or blessing wants sincerity, not strategy."
Ren groaned. "Fantastic. So I'm supposed to genuinely love every girl who gets obsessed with ? Do you have any idea how insane that sounds?"
"I do," Luxy said with a grin in her voice. "But hey, look at the bright side of it...you can..do...uh..well there should be sothing positive about it."
Ren ran his hand through his hair, feeling utterly drained. "I can't keep up with all this emotional nonsense. I'm not built for that."
"Well, too bad," Luxy said. "You're in it now. If you try to manipulate the system, it'll just bite you harder. Just… be real about it."
"Easy for you to say," Ren muttered. "You're not the one juggling psychotic love interests."
Luxy laughed. "True. Anyway, if that's all, I gotta go. My team's screaming at ."
"Wait—Luxy—"
"Sorry! I'm clutching!" she shouted, and the call cut off.
Ren stared at the screen as it went dark, then lowered his phone and leaned on the counter.
The silence of the washroom felt louder than before.
"So that's it, huh?" he whispered to himself. "If I don't actually care… it doesn't count."
He looked up at the mirror again. His reflection stared back—ssy hair, tired eyes, and a hint of frustration curling at the corners of his mouth.
"How am I supposed to genuinely love all these won?" he murmured. His reflection didn't answer, of course. It just looked as lost as he felt.
Ren sighed, gripping the counter tighter. "I didn't sign up to be the world's most conflicted romantic."
The chandelier above flickered slightly, the golden light casting strange shapes across the marble walls. Ren stared at his reflection one more ti before straightening up.
"Guess I'll have to figure it out," he muttered, pocketing his phone. "One yandere at a ti."
Then he turned toward the door, steeling himself to go back into that hall filled with whispering maids and one very satisfied girl waiting in her bed.
