The warehouse was thick with tension with only light ca from a flickering tube above, casting sharp shadows over Ren, who sat tied to a tal chair. His hands were tied tightly to the armrests with reinforced wire.

Silver stood in front of him, her blonde hair glinting faintly under the weak light. Her tone was flat, almost bored. "This wasn't part of the deal, boy," she muttered, eyes narrowing slightly.

Ren leaned back, a faint smirk tugging at the corner of his lips. "Well," he said softly, "you managed to escape Lan Xue's grasp… and those other won that were following her. So this should be a piece of cake for you, right?"

His tone was teasing, casual—like soone who didn't care he was tied up.

Silver's brows lifted. "Why am I even doing this for you?"

Ren chuckled under his breath. "Isn't this payback? For sleeping with you?"

Silver crossed her arms, sighing through her nose. "Maybe I shouldn't have, if this is how you treat soone who helps you."

"Co on, Silver," Ren said, flashing his usual grin. "This is just a little help, that's all."

She didn't reply, only giving him a side glance that could freeze lava. Despite her aloof deanor, Ren could tell she wasn't angry—just cautious. He'd already noticed one thing about Silver that made him feel oddly safe.

She wasn't the type to fall for him. At least, not yet.

She might look like she had several feelings, but Ren could easily tell this woman didn't really care about anything and never took things serious.

That alone was enough for Ren to relax a bit.

But then—

A soft creak ca from the door.

Silver's expression hardened instantly. She reached into her jacket, pulling out a small black mask and slipped it over her face. Her body language changed completely—sharp, alert, dangerous.

Ren's grin faded. He tilted his head toward the sound, muttering, "It should be Misa or Amanda… I better look scared."

The next second, the sound of cracking tal filled the air.

**BOOM!**

The door didn't open—it *exploded* off its hinges, flying straight at Silver.

She barely managed to twist aside, the door smashing into the wall behind her with a deafening crash.

From the shadows of the doorway, a woman stepped out.

Silver rolled to her feet, tensed like a cornered panther. "What the hell—?"

Ren's eyes widened as the light from the broken tube flickered across the intruder's face.

"Luxy!" he shouted. "Stop!"

But it was too late.

Luxy had already lunged forward, her hand glowing faintly with power. She moved faster than a bullet, her fist cutting through the air toward Silver.

Silver barely managed to dodge, twisting her wrist and firing a thin silver thread from her hand. The thread attached to a steel beam, and in an instant she swung upward—suspended in midair above the floor.

**BOOM!**

Luxy's punch missed, but the air itself rippled. A sharp *crack* echoed through the warehouse as part of the wall behind her shattered from the sonic shockwave.

Ren winced, shouting, "Stop! Luxy, stop attacking her!"

Luxy froze mid-step, panting slightly as she looked back at him. "What's wrong, Ren? Don't you want to rescue you?"

Ren blinked. "…Rescue ?"

"Yes!" Luxy said quickly, her wings trembling faintly behind her loose shirt. "You were missing for hours—I thought you were in danger!"

Ren sighed, lowering his head. "I *was* in danger… until *she* saved ."

Luxy blinked. "She—what?"

"Silver," Ren said flatly. "She's not my enemy. She pulled out of trouble. You are the one who showed up late."

Luxy froze, looking from him to Silver. Her expression shifted from defiance to awkward guilt.

Silver, still hanging by her thread, stared down at the angel with one brow raised. "Boy," she said slowly, "who is this woman?"

Ren gave a half-smile. "She's… my guardian. Sort of."

Silver dropped down lightly to the floor, crossing her arms. "She just tried to kill . Is this how you treat soone that saved you."

Luxy frowned as she ignored Silver. "Tch… I just—couldn't find you, that's all! I was searching everywhere!"

Ren narrowed his eyes. "Is that so? Then tell , Luxy… how did you find now?"

Her wings twitched. "I, uh… well…I was following your...yes your scent."

He stared at her, unamused. "You're sweating."

"I-It's hot in here!"

Ren sighed. "If you're going to lie, at least lie properly. Guess angels really *can't* lie." Last part Ren muttered to himself as he didn't want Silver to know Luxy's secret.

Luxy flinched. "H-Hey! That's rude!"

He gave her a long look, then leaned back against the chair, muttering, "I'm not going to forget what you did and if it's you ignoring my ssage because of that ga of yours...you're going to regret it, Luxy. But right now, we've got bigger problems."

Silver stepped closer, curiosity flickering in her eyes. "Bigger problems?"

Ren nodded. "Yeah. And conveniently… she just arrived at the perfect ti."

Luxy blinked. "Wait, what do you an 'bigger problems'? You're not mad anymore?"

"Oh, I'm mad," Ren said with a small grin. "But anger doesn't solve things. Strategy does."

He turned toward Silver. "Untie . We're moving now."

Silver hesitated, then shot him a sharp look. "You better not be planning to use again."

Ren smirked. "No promises."

She rolled her eyes and snapped her fingers. The threads binding his wrists loosened and fell away.

Ren stood, stretching his shoulders before looking between the two won—the silent assassin and the flustered angel.

He smiled faintly. "Well, this just beca the best possible outco."

Silver frowned. "You've got a plan, don't you?"

Ren's grin widened. "Perfect one."

Luxy stepped closer, still afraid of Ren finding out and taking away her console. "What's the plan?"

The dark stretch of highway was quiet, save for the rumble of a lone car pulling over near an abandoned warehouse. Amanda gripped the steering wheel tightly as the vehicle ca to a stop. Beside her sat Misa, a serious look on her face, and in the back seat, iling leaned forward, eyes fixed on the building ahead.

Misa glanced at the looming structure. "Is this the place?"

Amanda nodded. "From all the information we gathered, yes. This is where the kidnapper said she'd keep Ren."

She pointed toward the side of the warehouse. "And look at that—" her tone sharpened, "—that's a brand-new bike. Racing model. Doesn't fit this rundown place. Soone's inside."

iling's brows furrowed. "So we're sure he's here?"

Amanda exhaled, her expression calm but stern. "The police are nearby, but they're keeping their distance for now. We go first. Here's the plan—Misa, iling, you two head in and keep the kidnappers occupied. Don't engage recklessly. Just make sure Ren's safe. I'll circle around and coordinate with the officers. We'll capture both the kidnapper and rescue Ren without losing anything."

Misa nodded imdiately. "Got it." She picked up the silver briefcase beside her and stepped out of the car. iling followed right after, adjusting the strap of her jacket.

But before Amanda could even open her door—

**BOOM!**

The entire warehouse shook. A violent explosion burst from inside, flas and dust shooting into the night sky.

"What the hell—!" Amanda shouted, eyes wide.

Misa and iling froze in shock, staring at the warehouse now engulfed in smoke and orange light. Their hearts sank as they both scread at once.

"REN!!!"

Amanda slamd her hand on the horn in frustration. "No!" She jumped out, gun drawn. "Move!"

Before any of them could process what was happening, a blur shot out from the burning hole in the warehouse wall—so fast that Misa could barely follow it with her eyes.

"Sothing's coming out!" iling gasped.

The blur landed hard on the cracked pavent, sparks spreading across the ground. It was a woman—no, soone being thrown at inhuman speed, holding another person in her arms.

Misa's breath caught in her throat. "That's—Ren!"

Through the haze of fire, she could make out his familiar face—unconscious, limp, but alive—held by the mysterious woman.

Then another figure erged from the smoke, walking slowly toward them. A black mask covered her face, her blonde hair illuminated by the flas behind her. The way she moved was silent, deliberate, like a predator assessing her prey.

Amanda muttered under her breath, "There are two of them…?"

Before anyone could react, the masked woman raised her arm, a glint of silver flickering from her fingertips. Threads—thin, tallic, and sharp—shot out, catching the firelight as they lashed toward the other woman.

The one holding Ren reacted instantly. With a single burst of speed, she vanished from sight. The ground cracked where she'd been standing.

Misa's eyes widened. "What the—she's gone!"

"Above!" iling shouted.

A sonic *boom* exploded overhead as the air trembled. The superhuman woman reappeared midair, her kick slicing through the space the masked figure had just been in. The masked woman leapt backward, firing another set of threads that coiled around a beam jutting from the wreckage. She swung upward, avoiding the impact.

The mont she landed, the ground below shattered under the other woman's next strike.

"Those two… they're crazy," Amanda muttered, her voice low.

Misa gritted her teeth. "We have to help him!"

"Stay back!" Amanda barked. "If you go now, you'll get caught in that fight!"

The two forces clashed again and again—threads slashing through the air like whips, sparking against invisible shockwaves. The masked woman moved like a spider, darting from one point to another, her threads anchoring her midair. The other fought like a storm—fast, overwhelming, each attack creating small bursts of pressure that rattled the ground.

The fight was too fast for the eye to follow. Misa could only see flashes of movent—the blur of a kick, the glint of silver, the sound of the wind splitting apart.

Then, with a loud *CRACK*, one final strike connected.

The masked woman was hit square in the chest. Her body shot backward, skidding across the dirt before slamming against her bike. Sparks flew as tal scraped against the concrete.

"Got her!" iling said, clenching her fists.

But instead of staying down, the masked woman groaned softly, pushed herself up, and swung one leg over her bike. The engine roared to life with a growl.

"She's escaping!" Amanda shouted.

Misa's eyes darted to the other side—where the superhuman woman still stood, holding Ren in her arms like a sleeping child.

Amanda aid her gun. "Freeze! Don't move!"

The woman turned her head slowly, confusion flickering in her bright eyes. She didn't seem hostile—just lost.

The screech of tires echoed as police cars sward in from the highway, their sirens cutting through the smoke. Blue and red lights flashed across the night, illuminating everything—the burning warehouse, the wrecked door, and the trembling ground.

"Surround the area!" Amanda commanded. "No one leaves!"

The masked woman revved her engine and, with one final glance, sped off down the road. Dust and smoke trailed behind her as the police vehicles imdiately took chase, lights flashing in pursuit.

Amanda kept her gun trained on the other woman, her jaw tight. "Put him down! You're under arrest!"

The woman blinked, clutching Ren protectively, almost confused as if she was asking why am I under arrest after i saved him.
