Chapter 364: Because I Can

Ten minutes later.

Nolan looked at the dimd lights, sitting calmly on the office sofa with his legs crossed, his gaze carrying a half-smiling flavor, quietly watching his female secretary walk into his office.

The female secretary was already wearing a trench coat, stepping on sky-high heels, the semi-transparent black stockings outlining the curves of her long legs enough to make a man’s blood surge.

The female secretary walked up to Nolan as if she was treading on cat’s paws, gently pulling off the belt of her trench coat, then letting the coat slowly slide off her body.

Underneath, wrapped around her provocative curves was a set of lace and semi-transparent clothes—Nolan could be sure, if he wrinkled it up and squeezed it into a ball, it would be no bigger than a speck.

Nolan sighed softly.

"BOSS, are you satisfied with this set?" The female secretary’s lips curled slightly, her eyes as if carrying hooks.

Nolan narrowed his eyes. "...Continue."

The female secretary smiled, slowly knelt down in front of Nolan, deliberately arching her back—she seed very aware that this pose, this angle, was especially tempting to a man.

The female secretary’s head moved closer, already reaching out to touch Nolan’s belt.

Nolan, smiling, also reached out, his fingers touching the secretary’s chin, then sliding down to rest on the woman’s smooth neck, gently caressing her collarbone.

The female secretary exhaled softly, lifting her eyelids to reveal a pleasing smile to Nolan.

Nolan smiled and then leaned his head closer, his mouth almost touching the woman’s ear, whispering a sentence.

"...Who is your boss? Elder Romanov? Or Elder Ethan?"

The cold voice instantly stiffened the female secretary’s body!

The female secretary looked up in surprise, staring at Nolan in fear.

Nolan said indifferently, "Hmm, Elder Romanov’s territory has always been in Eastern Europe... Let think, you have red hair... I rember the Ethan family has the red hair gene. So, you belong to Elder Ethan, right?"

The female secretary’s body started to tremble!

She felt Nolan’s finger on her collarbone beginning to press harder!

The female secretary, breathing rapidly, was unable to break free, only managing to gasp out, "BOSS, Elder Ethan has no intention of being your enemy..."

CRACK!

The neck bones broke!

Looking at the female secretary’s head tilted to one side, her eyes bulging out in death, Nolan’s gaze remained calm. He gently cradled the woman’s head, pushed her body away onto the sofa, then slowly stood up.

"I’m damn well not your BOSS," Nolan coldly said to the secretary’s corpse. Then he turned and walked behind the desk, lightly pressing another button on the intercom.

"Security? There’s a bit of a ss in my office, co clean it up."

Minutes later, several n in black suits swiftly entered Nolan’s office, each carrying a weapon. Upon entering the room and seeing the scene, they all froze: the female secretary, lying on the sofa in a strikingly seductive death pose, and Nolan, standing quietly in front of his desk with an indifferent expression.

"BOSS?" The lead security, trying to suppress his shocked gaze, asked softly, "Here?"

"Carry her out, clean it up," Nolan said indifferently. "Any problem?"

"...No."

"Then hurry up, I still have work to do." Nolan shrugged his shoulders and sat down slowly in his office chair.

While these people were cleaning up the body, Nolan appeared nonchalant, paying them no mind as he casually reviewed emails on his computer screen.

After an indeterminate amount of Ti, the security chief whispered, "BOSS, the cleaning is done..."

"Hmm, how do you usually handle this sort of thing?" Nolan asked as he looked up.

"...We only take care of the cleaning; the specific details will be reported by my supervisor."

"Then report it." Nolan touched his chin and waved them off. "Everybody out."

"...Yes, sir."

The security guards left quietly, taking a body bag with them. The floor and sofa had also been cleaned.

Watching the door being shut again, a cruel smile slowly crept across Nolan’s face.

He was well aware that from this mont on, a storm had erupted within the ranks of Octopus Monster!

And he himself stood at the center of this storm!

Not enough... still not enough...

Nolan chuckled and quickly opened his email, revisiting all the work-related ssages he had approved today, within his authority, and all the tasks requiring his directives, redoing everything all over again!

Six important budget approvals, including the funding for several operational groups within Octopus Monster, as well as substantial funds for hardware updates at two scientific institutions...

Nolan did not care whether these matters were important or correct.

He made a move: reject them all! Veto them all!

Having done this, Nolan took a deep breath, slowly stood up, walked over to the floor-to-ceiling window, and looked outside.

Make it an even bigger fuss! I want to see how far the person who put in this position can support !

Of course, Nolan wasn’t acting recklessly.

He knew he was standing on the edge of a cliff.

Bai Jing’s fall should have ant his own doom, leading to an investigation, then being sidelined, and eventually losing all the resources and power in his hands—that would have been the logical outco.

But things had moved in the opposite direction.

Thus, Nolan was keenly aware of one thing: soone was supporting him, and they were doing it strongly!

The support was so strong that it could override the dissenting voices of the Elders’ Council of Octopus Monster, override the normal operations and procedures of the organization!

This high and powerful position had been given to him...

So Nolan wasn’t about to sit here foolishly and let fate take its course.

I have got to know who my backer is. Then, I need to understand why my backer chose and what they expect to do. Most importantly, whether this backer harbors good intentions or ill towards ! How far their support and tolerance for can go!

So, Nolan was causing trouble on purpose!

He wanted to figure out how powerful this unknown backer was, to what extent they could protect him!

A secretary planted by an elder’s faction should have been approached with caution, then removed slowly, or even used as an opportunity to build a relationship...

In any case, it should not have been done so bluntly as to murder her outright. That was tantamount to thoroughly offending Elder Ethan.

And with those funding requests and budget applications... he should have investigated properly, which project, which sum of money, was requested by which elder’s institution... and then asure, weigh slowly...

Instead of outright rejecting them all with a stroke of the pen—offending everyone involved.

Nolan decided to take a big gamble!

For three consecutive days, Nolan rejected all the budget approvals he received!

The new secretary had already taken up her post, reportedly an Ability User, possessing superb graphic mory and the ability for information classification and processing—this indicated an ability geared towards support and clerical work, with negligible combat power.

The death of the forr secretary cast a slight shadow over the new one.

Nolan could clearly sense the fear in her eyes as she reported her work to him.

"BOSS, you have already rejected nineteen items..."

"I know what I’m doing," Nolan waved his hand, signaling the new secretary to leave. "From now on, all budget approvals must co to ... I an all of them! Even if it’s money for a roll of toilet paper, it needs my review first! Understand?"

"...Yes, BOSS."

The new secretary fled from the office almost as if she was escaping.

Nolan smiled as he booted up his computer screen, clicking into the interface of a ga.

Three days had passed since his forr female secretary’s death, and Nolan had not received any punishnt or investigation. It was as if he hadn’t brazenly killed a current mber of the Elders’ Council in the office but had rely stepped on an ant.

Of course, he wasn’t foolish enough to think that the elder was indifferent to the incident.

He was well aware that the elder must have been furious—only, surely soone had blocked the elder’s wrath for him. He also knew that his almost reckless veto and rejection of all the budget proposals he’d seen surely affected the normal operations within Octopus Monster. The number of people he had offended was certainly not small. But equally, soone had shielded him from this "public outrage" as well!

Nolan was growing more and more curious.

Nolan glanced at the Ti, noting he had one more hour until the end of work.

But what the hell.

He stood up, deciding to leave the office. Tonight, he could go out for a drink.

Right, there was a baseball ga today. A ho ga for the New York Yankees.

As Nolan stepped out, he ntioned to his new secretary that he was going to the ga.

After that, he didn’t have to worry about anything else.

A Rolls-Royce would be waiting for him downstairs, then taking him to the stadium. At the stadium, the most luxurious VIP box would be waiting for him.

Ah, the joys of this kind of power—you wouldn’t understand.

Even if Nolan wished, he could approve a budget resolution for himself and buy the New York Yankees!

In fact, having that idea, Nolan acted upon it while on the road.

In the car, he made a call to his secretary.

"Check how much the New York Yankees are worth right now... Never mind how much! Look up how to buy them!" Nolan thought for a mont. Go big or go ho, right? He continued, "And the Knicks team, ask how to buy them too! I want to see a plan as soon as possible."

"...Okay, BOSS," the new secretary answered, trembling.

After hanging up, Nolan whistled softly.

The driver in front kept his eyes glued to the road, without a mont’s distraction.

I wonder which elder sent this spy—might as well kill him when I get the chance. These lazy thoughts drifted through Nolan’s mind.

Arriving at Yankee Stadium, Nolan stepped out of the car and was quickly led to the entrance of his own luxurious VIP box by several staff mbers whose nas he couldn’t be bothered to ask.

The mont he opened the door, Nolan’s eyes instantly narrowed!

There was soone in the room!

This VIP box, located in the southeast corner of the stadium, spanned over a hundred square ters and featured one hundred and eighty degrees of panoramic windows, a huge luxury leather sofa, a bar, a dining area, and a television screen for live broadcasting.

If you wished, you could even throw a party here.

As Nolan stepped into the room, he saw a figure already sitting on the sofa, their back to him, facing the stadium.

From the back, the person wore a hooded sports jacket and appeared relaxed, with the muscles in their shoulders visibly at ease while leaning on the sofa.

Nolan took a deep breath.

He realized that the opportunity he had been ardently trying to create over the past few days might have finally arrived!

Steadying his breath, Nolan casually closed the door and walked over with as relaxed a gait as he could manage.

He subconsciously touched his aquiline nose, trying to appear as laid-back and confident as possible.

But soon, as he approached the front of the sofa and saw the person sitting there clearly, Nolan’s face fell!

"It’s... you?"

"It’s ."

The person on the couch slowly stood up, then placed his legs together, let his hands hang down by his sides along the seams of his pants, and gave a slight bow to Nolan. "We et again, Mr. Nolan."

Nolan’s expression was complex, and it took a great deal of resolve to suppress the shock in his gaze. He swallowed hard, but at this mont, his mouth was so bitter and dry that not a drop of saliva was available to alleviate his tension.

It took a trendous effort for Nolan to squeeze out a sentence. "I... really did not expect to et you here... Mr. Kamisou Ichiro!"

The Neon man, Kamisou Ichiro, retained his usual stiff, cold deanor as he slowly said, "The things you’ve been doing in recent days, aren’t they all in hopes of getting a chance for a face-to-face conversation, Mr. Nolan? So, here I am."

Inside, Nolan’s mind was a maelstrom of emotions, with countless thoughts flashing through... Kamisou Ichiro? He infiltrated the Antarctica mission—was it so secret plan? Was he the hidden boss behind the scenes or soone sent by the hidden boss? Just who is he, really? Why choose ? Is it because of the mission in Antarctica? Is it...

"Sit down first, the ga is about to start." Kamisou Ichiro smiled, but the smile held the sa stern formality typical of a Neon person. Then he nodded to Nolan and sat down on the couch.

After thinking for a mont, Nolan slowly sat down next to Kamisou Ichiro.

"...Mr. Kamisou Ichiro, I..."

"Shh!" Kamisou Ichiro turned his head calmly, looked at him, and made a gesture. "The ga is about to start. Let’s watch the ga first. It’s a Neon person’s habit to throw oneself wholeheartedly into whatever one is doing. Since today’s activity is watching the ga, then let’s finish watching the ga."

"...Okay."

Actually, Nolan had little interest in baseball.

Well, in fact, most Ability Users weren’t too interested in ordinary human sports. For Ability Users who could easily break through the physical limits of ordinary humans, competitive sports naturally lost their allure.

When you could jump straight from mid-court and slam dunk, or casually throw a ball from any spot on the court and score a three-pointer... you probably wouldn’t find NBA gas interesting any longer.

When casually swinging a bat allowed you to effortlessly hit ho runs without dead angles... then it’s likely you’d soon lose interest in watching baseball gas.

For Nolan, this ga was sheer torture!

He could only forcibly suppress his emotions, sitting silently there, and then... he didn’t know how much Ti had passed.

Finally, the mont the ga ended—not even paying attention to the outco or who won—he imdiately turned to look at Kamisou Ichiro.

"..." Kamisou Ichiro silently glanced at Nolan, suppressed a smile, then pointed to the bar. "A drink?"

"Sure."

The whiskey was fine, single malt, along with champagne.

After asking Kamisou Ichiro, Nolan poured champagne for both of them. Then he set aside all distractions. After clinking glasses with Kamisou Ichiro, he took a sip and the two sat down.

"Now, we can talk," Kamisou Ichiro smiled.

"Who are you, or rather, who is backing to sit in this position?"

Kamisou Ichiro looked at Nolan. "Is it uncomfortable, sitting in that position?"

"Anyone would be happy to wield such power. But I find it dangerous!" Nolan said gravely.

"There’s no danger," Kamisou Ichiro shook his head. "I can assure you with certainty that sitting in this position, no one will oppose you, try to challenge you, or attempt to kill you. Your safety will be one hundred percent secure."

Nolan frowned. "...How can you be so sure?"

Kamisou Ichiro put down his glass. "Three days ago, you killed your secretary, a person from the Ethan family."

"Yes. I was trying to test..." Nolan began to explain but was interrupted by a wave of Kamisou Ichiro’s hand.

"No, I understand what you want to do and what you’re trying to test," Kamisou Ichiro smiled. "It’s like a child playing hide and seek with their parents. Once the parents hide, if the child can’t find them, they might just stand still and start crying loudly, or throw a tantrum. Then out of concern, the parents will co out on their own. What you hope for is simply for the people who support you to show themselves. I’ve said it before, so today I ca."

"How can you guarantee that no one will oppose ? For example, Elder Ethan, I did, after all, kill his people... Although planting spies is sothing many are doing, direct murder completely offends people to death."

"Yes, you completely offended him to death," Kamisou Ichiro said as he looked at Nolan, then suddenly burst into laughter. He slowly spoke a sentence: "So, since you have offended him to death... then, he can only be dead."

Nolan’s eyes widened!

"...Just one hour ago, Elder Ethan died in his own ho, in his favorite massage bathtub. Along with him, his two lovers also died. At the sa Ti, Elder Ethan’s two sons and a daughter in Arizona also died in their respective residences and the offices of the organizations they were responsible for. The teams they led, a total of twenty-one people, died with them. anwhile, within the company, mbers who had once been loyal to Elder Ethan, the heads of two Level B action teams, and the head of a rcenary company, along with their teams. There were also nineteen senior mbers of the Auditing Group from the Elders’ Council’s Internal Affairs Departnt. Ah, right, and the driver of that car you took to the stadium today. Um... all the people I’ve ntioned just now are now dead. Mr. Nolan, the reason I’m telling you that you don’t need to worry about any revenge or opposition from Elder Ethan against you... is this. Elder Ethan and the core mbers of his small group have been completely eradicated within our company in the past hour."

With that, Kamisou Ichiro smiled at Nolan. "Have I made myself clear enough?"

Nolan: ".........."

After a full minute of silence, Nolan took a long, deep breath.

"May I ask... am I your long-lost son or sothing?"

Kamisou Ichiro laughed, then shook his head.

Fortunately, he shook his head.

Nolan rubbed his aquiline nose vigorously.

He had considered that the boss behind the scenes would support him, but he never expected the support to be this extensive! Without any hesitation, they killed an elder of the Elders’ Council!!! That’s an elder, for heaven’s sake! On the sa level as Lady Bai Jing!! At this very mont, Nolan realized a key point!! The kind of support that could go to such a shocking extent definitely wasn’t so internal factional struggle within the Elders’ Council! Those supporting him were definitely not so elders like Lady Bai Jing from within the Elders’ Council! The power to effortlessly wipe out an elder and his entire group from physical existence... The only one capable and possessing such a presence was the mysterious, supre leader from within the Octopus Monster organization! That "Octopus" codenad big BOSS!!

"So... am I the illegitimate child of Boss Octopus then?" Nolan couldn’t help but ask again.

"...No, you’re not," Kamisou Ichiro shook his head.

"Then... why?" Nolan smiled bitterly. "No matter how I look at myself, I just can’t see what’s so special about to warrant such importance."

Kamisou Ichiro said indifferently, "There are many areas where you are valued. For example... you were once a mber of Noah’s Ark..."

Nolan’s brow furrowed, his heart sinking rapidly.

"Don’t be afraid, I have no intention of pursuing such matters," Kamisou Ichiro said with a smile, shaking his head.

Then he continued, "For another example... you are very ambitious, you managed to beco the head of a Level B action team."

"But to protect , you casually killed an elder! Among those killed in his loyal teams, there were also two heads of Level B action teams!"

"...You’re not wrong," Kamisou Ichiro genuinely laughed this Ti. On his face, that stilted smile blossod bit by bit, appearing very discordant. Then, he actually sighed and nodded. "Alright, I admit it... You weren’t placed in this position because of any particular value you possess as a person."

"Then why?"

Kamisou Ichiro smiled lightly and said, "Because, I can."

"?" Nolan’s eyes widened. What the hell kind of reason is that? "I can"?

"There was an argunt over your appointnt at the previous Elders’ Council eting. Then, there was soone who used to be a fence-sitter but had a mont of clarity when it mattered, and he said sothing that was finally smart after all these years. I won’t quote him verbatim, but the gist was: as long as the BOSS is willing, even if it’s putting a dog in this position, what we should do is to execute orders without fail! I have to say, that guy was originally supposed to die. Because of that rare mont of cleverness, he saved his life."

Nolan suddenly rembered what Bai Jing had told him!

BOSS... will demonstrate its power! Then reward the loyal with loyalty!

"So... supporting this much is simply to show the Elders’ Council an attitude: if the BOSS is willing, anything can be done?"

"Yes."

"Then... what if I ss around too much?" Nolan asked. "Causing too much harm to the organization..."

Kamisou Ichiro looked at Nolan quietly and said in a low voice, "Mr. Nolan, you still don’t understand."

"...Understand what?"

"Octopus Monster, this organization, this company, is rely a tool created to accomplish certain tasks. This includes the organization itself, all its influence and wealth, and even those elders, the action teams, the forces, and the personnel... All of it, are just tools. If we wish, we can destroy, kill, and discard it all at any Ti. If needed, it’s just a matter of spending so Ti to rebuild another, to gather so people again. You have been given the utmost support... You are also a tool, but the mission you’ve been entrusted with is to show everyone a will! This will is: The BOSS can do whatever it pleases! All so-called organizational interests, factions, wealth, balance, political maneuvering. In the face of the BOSS’s will, they are all just trash, ready to be discarded and destroyed at any mont. Let everyone understand that everything they possess today is bestowed by the BOSS! And life and death, gifts and punishnts, are at the will of the BOSS!"

Nolan understood. "So what should I do next?"

"Do as you please."

"Ah?"

Kamisou Ichiro smiled calmly. "Do whatever you want to do, even if you throw a bomb in your office, or decide to kill your new secretary tomorrow—by the way, your new secretary is another elder’s person. Of course, whether to kill or not doesn’t matter. Do whatever you want to do, anything! Did you get that? Anything!"

Understood! They want to act like a mad dog! To play and wreak havoc however I like? Nolan’s mind suddenly beca exhilarated!!

"To be honest, you weren’t my first choice," Kamisou Ichiro sighed. "I had my eye on a very interesting fellow. Unfortunately, now I don’t even know whether he’s dead or alive. But you... you’ll suffice for now."

"I will strive to be a mad dog," Nolan said seriously. "I will make sure anyone in the Elders’ Council who dares to oppose the BOSS’s will jumps out! Even those hidden well, I will create chaos to force them out!"

"That’s pretty much the idea," Kamisou Ichiro smiled. "Any other questions?"

"Yes!"

Nolan’s expression was solemn, his gaze steely. He took a deep breath and slowly said, "Do I... have a chance to et the BOSS? I an, the supre leader, the Octopus? Can I have the opportunity to et..."

BANG! BANG! BANG!

Before Nolan could finish, the door was gently tapped three tis.

Kamisou Ichiro turned his head to look at the door, then turned his gaze back to the entrance.

The door was slowly pushed open, and the person who walked in was an old woman, whose appearance and posture were both aged and frail. Her aged face, covered with wrinkles, white hair atop her head, and an old scarf around her neck.

Nolan’s face changed. "Lady Bai Jing!"

It was indeed Elder Bai Jing, who should have been confined to Iceland!

However, Bai Jing did not even glance at Nolan; her eyes fixed first on Kamisou Ichiro, her gaze hesitant and puzzled.

Kamisou Ichiro, with an unchanged expression, slowly took two steps forward, approaching the doorway. As he walked, he lifted his right hand, rapidly making a complex and peculiar gesture in front of his chest.

Then, he stretched out his right hand, palm facing down, arm lifted up... as if he was about to stroke the top of Bai Jing’s head.

Bai Jing’s face instantly transford; the doubt and hesitation in her eyes all vanished within a second!

Then, the elder, without hesitation, knelt on one knee, bowing her head, allowing Kamisou Ichiro’s palm to gently rest on the white hair atop her head.

Afterward, Bai Jing intoned almost devoutly:

"My master, my deity, the sovereign of my soul, the reliance of my faith, my eternal driver..."

All of a sudden, Nolan’s eyes began to blur, his legs going weak, his heart pounding furiously!

"You... you are..."

Kamisou Ichiro turned back to Nolan, smiled, and said, "You have already t ."

"Do you know, when I was thirteen, I had a crush on a girl. Looking back now, that girl wasn’t actually very pretty, and I never even spoke a word to her. I just saw her from a distance a few tis, and my heart would skip a beat. Then, her image would often pop up in my mind. Do you know why?"

"..." Silence.

"Hey. Speak up! How can I give you the answer if you don’t ask?"

"..." Silence continued.

"Ask, ask, ask! Ask already..."

"..." Finally, Corot could take it no longer. "Alright, alright!! I’ll ask! Why!! Why would you, you damned jerk..."

"Because she had big breasts, duh!!" Even though there was no sound, just Telekinesis communication, Chen Nuo’s thoughts seed to carry a cheap and tawdry tone.

"..."

"Annoyed with ?" Chen Nuo continued to provoke the old jerk. "If you’re annoyed, then hurry up and tell how to leave!"

"..."

"Okay then." Chen Nuo was in no hurry, continuing to release his thoughts. "So, I’ll elaborate on the dreams I had when I first fell for that busty girl at the age of thirteen... The first Ti, ah, I dreamt..."

"..."

"The second Ti, ah, I dreamt I was at the swimming pool, and there was no one else there, just the two of us..."

"..."

"The third Ti was thrilling, I dreamt I was in the library and she and I..."

"..."

"The fourth Ti..."

"SHUT UP!!!!!!!"

Chen Nuo was unabashed, continuing to release his thoughts. "Don’t be in a hurry, man. I still have a whole series of ’NTR’ material I haven’t detailed for you! Ah, right, how about the Ti-stop series? Do you like that, or perhaps the widow series? Old bastard, what flavor do you like? I’ll explain them to you one by one, huh?"

"You can’t get out!" Corot snapped back harshly.

"Fuck your whole family, goddammit old bastard!" Chen Nuo retorted nastily with Telekinesis. "I haven’t done shit to you, haven’t killed your wife and kids, haven’t stolen your woman, haven’t hard your parents! I’m decently trying to help the world eliminate the Mother! You fuck with ! I use teleportation skills, and you block , trapping here!! Is it that I can’t get out, or you won’t let out?!"

Corot went silent for a while before conveying through Telekinesis, "You cannot leave."

"It’s you not letting out, right!"

"...Yes."

"Why! What the fuck beef do you have with ?!"

"Because you are the Chosen One," Corot gave his response.

"Chosen One why... no, what the hell is the Chosen One?!"

"..."

Chen Nuo wouldn’t have it. "Not again! Every Ti I ask you about this, you play the silence ga with ? Silence my ass!! Your whole family’s ass!"

After releasing his Telekinesis, Chen Nuo’s fierce emotions surged. "Co on, let’s fight again!"

In this void of space, suddenly a bundle of Telekinesis condensed, gathering like a faint mist, then crashing around violently!

At the sa Ti, from all around, an even bigger fog of Telekinesis swiftly entwined, trapping Chen Nuo’s Telekinesis in the middle.

Of the two mists, one was clearly more solidified and powerful, naturally belonging to Corot.

After colliding fiercely hundreds of tis, Chen Nuo finally quieted down.

His Telekinesis, weary, declared, "Motherfucking old bastard! Sooner or later, I’ll completely shatter you!"

Corot continued to maintain his silence.

Chen Nuo also stopped releasing his Telekinesis, slowly gathering his will’s representative "mist."

And silently, Chen Nuo’s "mist" seed slightly less transparent than before, seemingly gaining a bit more condensed presence, becoming increasingly solid.

Although it was just a tiny bit of growth.

Chen Nuo remained quiet, releasing no more will, no longer communicating with Corot.

Actually, this type of clash that resembled a "fight," Chen Nuo had already engaged with Corot in perhaps dozens or even hundreds of tis.

Initially, it was when Chen Nuo couldn’t bear it anymore, attempting to release his consciousness to seek a breakout in every direction, only to be confronted and stopped by Corot’s appearance.

After several of these peculiar "battles," Chen Nuo began to understand sothing.

The old guy was hell-bent on imprisoning him here.

But since the other party intervened to stop him, it ant one thing: his way of releasing will to dash and crash apparently made Corot wary!

That is to say, it was effective!

Well, that’s good enough.

After that, Chen Nuo tried multiple tis to provoke duels with Corot.

Then, at so point, Chen Nuo discovered that not only did these duels not weaken or harm his will... they even made his Telekinesis powers beco more and more refined!

Could I... grow stronger bit by bit this way?

After realizing this, Chen Nuo began deliberately provoking Corot, seeking these "duels" intentionally.

However, the holy dog still maintained its usual style: play it safe when confronted!

Each Ti he released his Telekinesis power, he kept it at the usual level. He did not unleash all his energy as he grew stronger.

He still maintained occasional provocations towards Corot, but each Ti he kept his display of Telekinesis power consistent with the level of their previous battles!

Whether the old bastard knew he could grow stronger or not, Chen Nuo had consciously kept this to himself.

Maybe, I’ll get a chance to pull one over on him!
