In particular, Ian Livingstone, the master of the “one-path-true” style, whose books introduced to the possibility of crafting real adventures, even along paths that inevitably lead the hero to death. Personally, as a proponent of a several-paths-several-ends approach, I cannot deny that among the “Choose Your Own Adventure” books that enchanted my childhood, those he wrote had a profound influence on my vision.

I also wish to pay special tribute to the renowned J.R.R. Tolkien, who founded the fantasy genre, shaping it from mythologies and a deeply considered, coherent universe. My ambition for my own worlds has been to maintain a similar level of internal consistency, with their unique features and logic that do not rely imitate what is commonly done.

Of course, the sources of inspiration are countless, and I will not dig through my mory to na them all. I do, however, draw readers’ attention to the many references hidden throughout my work… although so will probably only be noticeable to French-speaking readers.
