Despite the damage inflicted here by Goblins, the bas-relief adorning one of the fireplaces retains a certain dignity. It seems to depict a noble ancestor, surrounded by his close descendants. The green vermin’s hamring has destroyed the features of his face, yet his eyes still seem to gaze upon the visitors of this abandoned dwelling. Strangely, this half-erased stone face reminds you of your great-grandfather, who used to keep his savings behind a complex bas-relief, where a few secret moldings, carefully manipulated, would open a hidden panel…
Studying the bas-relief carefully, you discover so exposed parts of the chanism. The damage has not allowed the plunderers to uncover the secret, but a Dwarf like you can understand its workings from what is revealed. Pressing the hidden buttons in the correct order, you marvel to see that this ancient chanism still functions.
The narrative has been illicitly obtained; should you discover it on Amazon, report the violation.
The entire bas-relief pivots, revealing a large secret cache. Preserved from rust by clever construction or protective oil, a splendid Dwarven armor rests inside.
Dwarven Masterwork Armor [ 1 Armor, 2 Magic Armor] (of course, this armor is not magical, but it is so well crafted that the 2 bonus does not count as a penalty to dodge; this notation is simply to mark this information).
You also find a Master Axe [ 1 Power] and a Masterwork Shield [ 2 Armor], along with 3d6 Coins, then return to 509 to make further choices.
