“You should save as much of your money as possible here: most of what they sell you here isn’t very useful. And don’t just throw your money away for stupid advice! Are you rich or sothing? Your clothes certainly don’t suggest it, so don’t waste your money like that. Yes, I know you’re wondering what good your money could do you up in the mountains… but it can. I’ve been here longer than anyone still alive, and yet I’m not that old… Don’t ask my age! But I’ve seen things… I don’t move around much anymore, but I analyze, I observe, I listen. There’s this dragon causing trouble, but it’s not the only problem. Sothing’s going on with the Dwarves: their usual plots again, but it could be big this ti. And then with the Elves, everyone’s laughing at these rumors of disappearances around the border. The cessation of trade relations with their kingdom is considered a given, given the reserved nature of the Elves… but even though I live here, I can tell you there's sothing fishy going on there, sothing unnatural…

…Oh, forgive : I digress. You're not interested in that: all you want to know is more about that blasted dragon. Well, for starters, nobody really knows where its lair is. I think it does it on purpose: it has built several dens and moves from one to another to maintain the mystery. But its treasure is in one place. I'd bet on the old Dwarven fortress… Well, it was just a small smuggler's hideout from another era, but for n it's huge. There's no denying it: even the dregs of Dwarf society are skilled with their hands and hardworking. I think it's there because it has everything a dragon could want: large, sturdy halls with a bird's-eye view from inaccessible heights, and lower levels where minions can be housed at a reasonable distance from the treasure. Yes, if I were thirty years younger, I'd go there, but not to kill the dragon. No, to have a reasonable chance of slaying it, you'd need an epic weapon like the Hogger. They say that cleaver is the ugliest of the region's legendary weapons, but it's still damn good.”
