The king's castle is an impressive fortress whose tall towers dominate the city. Those of the vast central keep have very slender shapes that seem to be an aesthetic rather than a defensive choice. They have conical roofs, except for one, which is flat. Closer inspection reveals that the top of this tower, perhaps even an entire story, is missing. Its stone appears blackened… perhaps by fire…
