Chapter 902: Chapter 902: Cut Off from Reinforcents

“Enemy attack! Enemy attack!!”

The highest priority alarm information was broadcast repeatedly on all channels, and every ship in the Imperial Fleet echoed with the piercing sound of air raid sirens. Soldiers quickly rushed out from their respective resting areas, heading to their workstations. The shield of the Imperial Admiral emitted a dazzling blue light in an instant, its rapid shield strength increase making it shine like a blue sun within a thousandth of a second. Amidst the low roar, the flagship and several surrounding Revenge Angel-class second-generation battleships began charging their weapon systems of all levels, with blue ghostly energy roaming through the spaceship formations in outer space, as if a large cluster of blue sparks was blooming on a black velvet tapestry in an instant.

The first wave of the enemy’s attack arrived almost before sixty percent of the ships had fully entered combat status. Several thick energy beams, interwoven with black and red patterns, abruptly pierced through space and rushed towards our warships. They were fast, fierce, and filled with a ferocious aura—this was a destructive bombardnt that only the forr Imperial Fleet, tainted by Abyssal rage, could unleash, surpassing any danger. Several small escort ships under attack didn’t even have ti for their shields to flicker before being reduced to twisted, half-molten tal, exploding into an orange-red ball in space. The souls of hundreds of Imperial Soldiers were directly uploaded to the nearest mother ship’s regeneration factory. The residual Abyssalized Galaxy Main Cannon then struck the mother ships behind the escort ships. Three Revenge Angel-class Mother Ships and the Imperial Admiral’s vertical arm were simultaneously attacked, each shield showing dangerous light white ripples: this was a partial weakening of the shield caused when the attack power exceeded the shield recharge rate, indicating that the damage per unit area on the shield had surpassed the critical value, and if such damage occurred a few more tis, there would be a risk of the shield being breached.

Nevertheless, the Revenge Angel-class is, after all, a super battleship further enhanced on the basis of the Eternal-class Battleship. Their shield capacity and rapid adaptability to various attacks far surpassed the prototype ships. The three Mother Ships barely withstood this possible long-prepared surprise attack from the enemy, and as the main flagship, the Imperial Admiral had the most powerful shield generator and also withstood this attack.

Even so, all the ships suffered varying degrees of damage—after all, they weren’t prepared, and so of the spaceship’s space anchor devices were still in standby, the sudden attack causing violent tremors on the ships.

The tremors ca from the bottom end of the vertical arm, spreading throughout the flagship’s interior space as if it were an earthquake. We had just used the ship’s transmission device to arrive at the bridge when this sudden tremor almost knocked us off our feet. The damage control host imdiately began calculating the ship’s damage and started broadcasting across the entire ship: “Attention, attack exceeds threshold, overall shield neutralized by seventeen percent, energy supply in areas EB-33 to EB-45 is limited, the dispatch system in the corresponding areas has a ninety-seven percent chance of already being overloaded.”

The flagship imdiately and automatically activated its self-repair functions, beginning to bring back online several shield generators that had been overloaded and paralyzed by the recent attack. anwhile, the onboard mainfra and weapon control center rapidly searched for nearby space fluctuations, attempting to reverse crack the initial position of the enemy’s super space-ti strike, with all information terminals in the command hall switching to prominent red windows, and more unusually powerful energy fluctuations rapidly gathering in front of the sector.

“Abyss Power has an additional neutralizing effect on the shield,” Sandora imdiately judged, “activate the Energy Raider! Neutralize this disadvantage!”

All the warships’ shields were imdiately cloaked with an extrely thin layer of white halo, and when the second wave of Abyss Bombardnt from the space rift arrived, this halo imdiately took effect, with almost half of the incoming energy being neutralized, while all the Revenge Angel-class warships’ Galaxy Main Guns went from an initiated state to full charge in an instant.

The flagship’s weapon center had already vaguely located the source of the super space-ti strike. Sandora decisively ordered a retaliatory strike on this imprecise but out-of-options coordinate.

The space in front of each warship’s main cannon opened a vortex like a Storm Eye, with glaring blue and white energy beams gushing out from the restrictors, rushing into these space vortices.

However, the effect of this attack could only be guessed: the exact position of the enemy had still not been determined.

This was a brief yet fierce encounter. From the arrival of the enemy’s first bombardnt to the end of our retaliatory strike, it took less than thirty seconds, but in that short thirty seconds, all nearby small celestial bodies were evaporated from the fleet, and even the Ruins Planet under the protection of the Joint Shield was further damaged by the energy exposure: almost fifty percent of the planet’s structure was blown away, revealing countless interlaced alloy fras inside and a faint dark red energy core.

“PL-15, how are you?”

Sandora’s gaze turned to a nearby external monitor, where a warship with a distinctive blood-red paint job, resembling an Eternal Mother Ship but larger and more sinister in appearance, was recharging its main cannon for the second ti. The royal emblem exclusive to Sandora marked it as a mber of the Revenge Fleet. Honestly, I’m curious how Sandora imdiately recognized it as the “Great Governor’s” ship, because in my eyes, all Imperial ships look exactly the sa. Yet Sandora identified her deputy without even scanning the sequence code, her ability is truly uncanny.

“A certain level of overload, no impact,” PL-15 responded in a deep voice, “The autonomous machinery within is operating better than anticipated. It seems the Taville Chief’s latest adjustnts are on point.”

Just then, the enemy’s relentless bombardnt finally arrived. After two surprise attacks and a probing volley of main cannons, the Fallen Apostle Battleships that suddenly intruded began firing their main cannons. These generally average but extrely concentrated barrages traversed a light year’s space barrier, starting to continuously attack the hastily assembled joint shield of the Imperial Fleet. Although they cannot break through this shield instantly, our energy allocation was greatly disrupted.

“How large is the enemy force?”

Seeing the enemy’s firepower still intensifying, Sandora frowned and asked. Being ambushed without warning greatly annoyed the Battle Song Princess who was accustod to taking the initiative on the battlefield, “Why were we completely unprepared?!”

“Currently, at least two hundred Eternal-class enemy ships have invaded this space. The number of various dium and small escort fleets is around three thousand and still steadily increasing!” Sivis reported loudly from the command seat, “The enemy’s origin has been confird. Their last recorded space jumps were three categories of unidentifiable states.”

“Multiple jumps through the Void to reach the battlefield, ‘Void Point Jump’… truly a bunch of reckless maniacs,” Sandora angrily struck the armrest, “No wonder there was no way to detect them. This also makes it impossible to determine their initial origin.”

After this long of interacting, I could roughly understand the occasional professional terms spoken by experts like Sandora and Sivis. Just like now, I understood what these suddenly appearing Fallen Apostles were: their ability to execute this assault was because they didn’t jump from a particular world to this Universe; their entire fleet conducted multiple jumps in the Void, moving from one unstable information point to another unstable information point, completely abandoning supplies and establishing jump coordinates. This way, they could conceal their origin and travel path, appearing almost like they materialized out of nowhere when intervening in a world. If the Imperial Fleet had powerful Void scanners, there might have been a possibility of issuing a warning a few minutes before the enemy arrived in this Universe, but we didn’t, so we were caught off-guard.

However, conducting such a rapid strike operation is extrely dangerous for the Fallen Apostles. The first risk is the losses the fleet incurs due to consecutive jumps in the Void, which is an extrely perilous place—experience dictates that if a fleet doesn’t anchor in a fixed world for self-correction, continuous jumps in the Void increase each ship’s chance of being consud by informational chaos to one in thirty, then this probability doubles with each jump. This is the Void’s mandatory erasure force against any large-scale information changes, an unavoidable traffic accident even for the Divine Race. Who knows how many ships they lost through this “Void Point Jump” to assault this world. The second risk lies in potentially attracting the Divine Race’s attention with such a massive movent—Divine Realm has placed Void Nodes all over the Void like countless surveillance caras, scanning the Endless Void, and ‘Void Point Jump’ is a completely random thod of jumping before reaching the destination. You cannot avoid any risk, advancing is like gambling, where a segnt of the Fallen Apostle fleet might inadvertently clash with a Divine Fortress, facing a small troop against a Void Fortress that can summon reinforcents from the Divine Realm at any ti. The consequences are self-evident.

This is indeed a desperate strike.

I can think of these, and Sandora certainly can too, looking at the dense red dots continuously jumping into this space from the radar’s edge, her eyebrows gradually knitted together, her voice imnsely low: “…A force unconcerned with survival, are they trying to decapitate us with this assault?”

Sandora’s conjecture is not far-fetched: recklessly executing a rapid assault, risking being cornered by another group of enemies, everything indicated that this was a Suicide Squad-like Fallen Apostle Fleet targeting us, and those cunning enemies never randomly squander their strength. When they make such enormous sacrifices, there’s only one target… the Imperial Admiral!

“The Joint Shield’s flanks are firing! A new intrusion point has been detected!”

The ship’s main computer loudly reported, simultaneously mobilizing all the fleet battle modules of the Imperial Admiral. A command network has been established among the mother ship formations and the escort ship arrays surrounding the Imperial Admiral, with the core of this network being the Imperial Admiral itself. This powerful flagship’s coordination module can optimize the resource allocation of every spaceship that enters the battle network. When facing a formidable enemy, a well-coordinated fleet can almost be regarded as a single giant battleship. The most imdiate effect visible is that the Joint Shield outside the fleet is strengthening at a speed visible to the naked eye. The barrage infused with Abyss Power, assaulting from the super space rift, now only creates ripples no bigger than small splashes on the Joint Shield.

“Wait… what’s going on?”

At that mont, a voice full of bewildernt suddenly ca from not far away. We all turned towards the sound, seeing Old Master Yod leaning against a nearby machine, looking at us in shock.

“At least four voices from our side shouted in unison, ‘Old man, you’re still here?'”

Okay, I admit, one of those shaful voices was mine…

“It’s our enemy,” Sandora glanced at , Qianqian, Lilina, and Yakumo Lan (by the way, what’s this fox doing here?), and calmly said to Yod, “I suggest you leave the bridge, soldiers will take you to a safe residential area.”

“You still have enemies?” Yod’s eyes widened in surprise. “But I’m not afraid of danger.”

“No, it’s mainly that your presence here might affect our command of the battle,” Sandora said straightforwardly.

Suddenly, I felt a bit awkward, how could Sandora say such hurtful truth, and speaking of affecting battle command—look at how many people around us don’t affect the battle command—first of all, don’t you think you should kick out Bingdisi and 123 who are playing poker on the tactical map?

Yod was also stunned for a mont, then nodded to us with an expression of awkward but understanding, and left the bridge with a few soldiers. Fortunately, he hasn’t gotten used to our way of doing things, otherwise, he would’ve stubbornly stayed…

The enemy’s attack was still continuing, getting more ferocious with each wave. More and more enemies invaded this world, and they completed an encirclent of the Imperial Fleet from all directions. The Joint Shield ford a massive sphere, defending against all-angle enemy attacks, which was consuming our energy greatly, but there was no better solution under the current circumstances.

The Revenge Angel-class mother ship formation led by PL-15 had launched a fierce counterattack on the enemy’s most concentrated firepower coordinates. Utilizing their firepower system far superior to warships of the sa class and the ultra-high-speed “charging” of the Energy Raider, these formidable Revenge Warriors managed to silence the most intense space rift attacked by the Fallen Apostle in just a few minutes. Radar showed that the enemy, facing such a crazy barrage, had to temporarily jump away from the original coordinates, leaving behind the wrecks of several main battlecruisers at the edge of the universe before regrouping with nearby small squads to disperse to constrain the firepower of the Revenge Fleet.

The situation shifted from an initial strike to a short stalemate gradually. However, the disadvantage of the Imperial Fleet being surrounded layer by layer was expanding: the recharge rate of the Joint Shield was approaching its threshold, soon we would shift from equilibrium to weakening, and the number of enemies was still increasing.

anwhile, during the battle, another fleet got caught in an even more dangerous situation: those transport mother ships full of refugees!

About seventy to eighty percent of the transport ships have now successfully hidden within the range of the Joint Shield, but there were a batch of transport ships far away from the Imperial Fleet. They were originally going to transfer refugees to other two ruin planets and the nearest few Floating Islands in the Ruins Ring since the foundation of this world had already been destroyed. Sandora and I worried that the other ruin planets may soon disintegrate as well, leading to a decision to rescue the natives of this world ahead of ti. However, this led to more than a dozen transport ships and a small number of escort ships being isolated outside the Joint Shield.

The enemy’s fierce attack put the Joint Shield in a very dangerous state, on its surface were ghost energy storms up to several kiloters high, and each bombardnt from the edge of the universe would stir up a “tsunami” on the shield large enough to tear apart light warships. Under such circumstances, those isolated transport ships and their escort groups couldn’t possibly enter the Joint Shield; they could only hide behind the back of the No. 1 Ruin Planet, which was about to beco a piece of space junk, relying on a small-scale joint shield and luck to hold on.

The Fallen Apostle’s target is us, so they haven’t concentrated their attacks on those ships with no counterattack capability just yet. However, in such a perilous place, with all the devastating bombardnt everywhere, the fragile transport ships can’t last too long by rely relying on luck.

“We have to find a way to bring them over.”

Just a glance at those precarious fleet situations, Big Sister imdiately shouted aloud.

Sandora also noticed the distress signal from that isolated transport team. Her eyes were calm, showing no visible psychological activity, but after a mont, she still nodded: “Send Sicaro, right now, he’s the only one who can withstand such assaults and make a round trip outside.”

I was suddenly stunned, realizing this frustrating thing had occurred for the second ti: I forgot that old bastard is actually still an Imperial Officer…

For Sandora, sacrificing lives on the battlefield, and even abandoning part of the army, are things to be faced by a commander, but this is only limited to those soldiers already prepared to die in battle. For a convoy of transport ships carrying refugees, if they are sacrificed because of their lack of combat capability, it would be a disgrace to the Battle Song Princess, especially since the current enemy is the Fallen Apostle, a fated arch-enemy, she can’t tolerate being led by them.

A batch of Frontier-class Fortress Ships with special coatings suddenly detached from key positions of the Joint Shield. These huge, sowhat bloated “at fortress” warships are the super MT personally led by Sicaro, the Royal Heavy Defense Fleet. Their shields were fully active, nearly like shining small suns, they withstood enemy attacks while breaking through the Joint Shield. Due to their simple appearance, they looked like a bunch of eggs flying in the sky, with a cross-section like CDs… after connecting with Sicaro, I seed to forget everything else.

Sicaro has gone to respond to the isolated transport team, the strength of the Joint Shield dropped significantly, but with the assist of the Energy Raider, it remained firm. However, at this mont, an especially bad piece of news ca from outside the World Barrier:

The Fallen Apostle forcibly twisted the grid structure of the World Barrier, so our reserve force outside this space couldn’t get in—reinforcents were cut off! (To be continued.
