From the depths of the universe, high-energy beams poured down like torrential rain upon the shields and armor of the warship; dazzling explosions blood incessantly around the flagship. The assault team from the Mad Revenge Army launched their final charge, releasing all safety locks and, in a state of ultimate overload, they smashed into the Imperial Battleship, glowing with eye-piercing blue light. Pandora and Visca’s Floating Cannons could barely intercept such nurous and mad attacks. Sandora continued to command from the bridge while Big Sister, Qianqian, and I joined the fight. Their power, impervious to technological counterasures, was the only thing the enemy couldn’t resist. Under the effect of Misfortune Transfer Power, the flagship minimized the damage it suffered, and Qianqian’s Ti Vortex gave the Imperial Army adequate ti to counter. I realized the Revenge Army’s actions were nearly insane; they charged at us like kamikazes, so we had no choice but to eliminate these forr subordinates of Sandora entirely. After recuperating, the Divine Clan’s Tiaozi Five returned to the front lines, and Dingdang’s healing power revitalized them, making them as formidable as if they’d never been injured—except for being covered in weeds. The skies above Mist God Star couldn’t be described as anything less than chaotic; it was now an uncontrollable fireworks display.

"Reinforcents have broken through the enemy’s spatial blockade, and they will jump into the battlefield in thirty seconds!"

Suddenly, Bubbles’ voice in the spiritual connection revitalized everyone’s spirit.

Monts later, a robust voice resonated tily in my mind, "Heavy Defense Corps, standing by! Awaiting orders!"

The phrase ’Heavy Defense Corps’ swirled in my mind as I tried to recall this sowhat familiar military formation and whom it corresponded to. After a full five seconds, I realized—wasn’t that Sicaro?

I wondered why the robust voice sounded so familiar just now, it turns out I had completely forgotten Sicaro was an Imperial Soldier when I t him outside city managent tasks and street stalls.

I’m not sure if this is a monuntal victory in Sicaro’s bootleg career, but his arrival was indeed tily, and this might be one of the few occasions where I actually welcod his presence.

One by one, deep black shadows gradually appeared in outer space, filling the crumbling defense line of Mist God Star. As they beca clearer, I realized they were Frontier-class Barrier Ships, but unlike the standard ones, these newly erged warships were slightly larger and seed heftier with denser shields. Frontier-class aren’t equipped with giant cannons, and these special Barrier Ships are even more extre in that regard, their surfaces devoid of main cannons and equipped only with anti-aircraft guns and a few dium-caliber Ghost Energy Cannons—clearly built purely for defense.

This was indeed Sicaro’s direct subordinate force, the legendary Heavy Defense Corps. His soldiers, besides being adept in defensive abilities, each commanded their specialized Barrier Ships in space combat. These designs provide almost two to three tis the defense capabilities of ordinary Frontier-class ships and even compensated slightly for their lack of speed by tuning their engines. It’s fair to say they are the most impressive mobile fortresses in the Imperial Fleet, proud of their joint shields. Only then did I rember this force had once displayed its prowess in the enclosed universe, holding off forces many tis their size beyond the defensive lines. Sadly, nobody initially rembered the connection between Sicaro and this force... that old guy’s reputation is utterly ruined.

The joining of the Heavy Defense Corps imdiately solidified the Imperial Army’s defense line. On the side facing the enemy at Mist God Star, they ford a joint shield large enough to cover half the planet. Under this shield, the Mad Revenge Army’s Single Soldier Fighter Jets and Assault Ships started being annihilated en masse. Their earlier frenzy had waned, dropping them deep into the barrage of mother ship anti-aircraft guns and combat Apostles. The initial troubleso kamikaze and ramming assaults were no longer a concern. anwhile, more huge, rectangular shadows continuously erged in space, easily identifiable as Eternal-class Mother Ships.

The biggest flat-board style coffins I have ever seen in my life... cough, cough.

"The enemy has been fully suppressed, trap probes in place... The enemy’s retreat path has been blocked, push the warships!"

Bubbles’ slightly excited voice ca through the spiritual connection, signaling that this abrupt lee would end in a resounding victory for us.

At that mont, Sandora’s voice joined in, and I couldn’t tell if it was the joy of victory or the sorrow of loss, "Try to keep so prisoners—I want to know what happened to the Revenge Army, but if they resist fiercely... let them find peace the Warrior’s way."

A single sentence from Sandora brought swiftly back from the exhilaration of temporary victory to a sudden realization that in this battle, there actually were no winners.

The debris of the Revenge Army’s spaceships floating in space did not carry the scent of the Abyss, nor were they unmanned malfunctioned spaceships; they all had Sandora’s soldiers aboard. Although they were now mad, they weren’t Fallen Apostles.

With this thought, the excitent in my heart rapidly diminished, leaving only a profound weariness.

The remaining few Revenge Army spaceships, despite their scant numbers, continued to execute suicide attacks on the Imperial battleships fearlessly, revealing a genuine Xyrin Soldier’s spirit in their actions, yet their gunfire was directed at us, the comrades they were supposed to stand with. Sandora had already personally issued an order for the complete annihilation of this part of the Revenge Army, and just monts later, these mad Imperial Soldiers turned into floating debris in space.

Unable to persuade, halt fire, or even communicate; self-destruction or destruction by others were the only two options they left us. Rather than letting these mad warriors self-destruct aninglessly, it was better to let them et their ends in the blaze of brilliant gunfire; at least in the values of a Xyrin Apostle, dying from oncoming gunfire held greater worth.

But just when we thought everything had settled, an alard call ca through the information link from Bubbles.

"Anomaly! Anomaly! The enemy’s main fleet is self-destructing! Repeat! They are self-destructing!"

"What?" For a mont, I almost forgot to dodge the residual explosions on the battlefield, narrowly avoided being blown away by a nearby shockwave, and then swiftly transported back to the bridge of the Imperial Admiral, "What’s happening?"

Sandora had just rapidly issued a series of commands, seeking with all her might to capture the enemy’s mother ships intact. Seeing appear, her face showed the sa confusion and surprise, "I don’t know, once their escape routes were blocked, their mother ships started to self-destruct one after another, still refusing all contact; damn, this way we won’t capture a single one!"

Shocked gazes turned toward the giant holographic projection, showing images of the Revenge Army’s fleet from several astronomical units away. They had already pushed so close to the Mist God Star only to fail at the last; now those massive warships were destroying themselves in an inexplicable manner, each giant ship starting to crack from the bow, flashing brightly and turning to ashes in a series of massive explosions—not from attack, but self-destruction.

Nurous high-speed warships were racing towards the enemy’s lines trying to prevent them from self-destructing, but it was clearly too late. Even using space jumps, the speed of reaching them couldn’t outpace the press of a self-destruct button; we could only watch helplessly as that vast fleet vanished into space glimrs amid intense flas, utterly powerless.

"This... this isn’t sothing the Revenge Army should do; no normal Imperial Soldier would ever behave this way. They hadn’t been completely defeated yet, still had so many warships, yet just because their escape routes and battle situation were unfavorable, they chose self-destruction..."

Sandora muttered incredulously, her voice even trembling. One of the reasons she had insisted on commanding from the bridge was to capture the Revenge Army’s mother ships as intact as possible. Those giant battleships were surely filled with her forr soldiers; capturing them alive might have unveiled a way to awaken them. As for the assault ships and single soldier fighter jets we had destroyed earlier, those were mostly combat puppets and such weaponry. But this plan now teetered on collapse: obviously, we would end up capturing not a single warship.

"Broadcast signal detected, broadcasting across all frequencies!"

Bubbles’ voice sounded on the bridge, "The Revenge Army’s warships are broadcasting sothing to the entire universe!"

"Turn around," Sandora hurriedly said.

"I am currently decrypting, they used an algorithm not recorded in the Old Empire database," Bubbles spoke rapidly, anwhile, the lights on the bridge dimd slightly, "I have transferred control back to the shipboard mainfra, now starting to fully decrypt the Revenge Army’s codes."

Bingdisi looked at the enemy ships exploding one by one on the holographic projection, infuriated to the point of nearly bursting, "Idiots! Brats! I’ve never been this furious—" In the middle of her rant, Bingdisi suddenly pulled my arm and shouted at Sandora, "Wait a mont, I’ll rescue one for you!"

I had no idea what this female hooligan was planning, but by the ti I realized, I had already returned to the cold, silent outer space with Bingdisi. Her wings unfolded to their fullest behind her, then she gave a strong flap, and I felt a distortion in front of , only to find myself suddenly positioned before the Revenge Army Fleet, many astronomical units away.

I swear, there is nothing more shocking in this world than witnessing an interstellar warship exploding less than five hundred ters in front of —it nearly vibrated my duodenum out.

"Hurry! Do you have any way to stop them from self-destructing?"

Bingdisi’s voice echoed directly in my mind, and I finally understood her plan, but I wasn’t sure how exactly to execute it: "In theory, draining the spaceship’s energy could stop it from self-destructing. But I can’t control this with great precision, and if I draw energy from the whole warship, all the mbers inside would instantly perish. Besides, before I start, I’d need to find a way to isolate the warship and the surrounding space. The energy field here is too dense, I can’t selectively drain a single ship’s energy, I’d have to drain the entire fleet: and even you killing wouldn’t make that possible!"

"At this point, retrieving a ship full of corpses is better than nothing."

With that, she charged towards a warship that had just begun to self-destruct, "I’ll help you isolate this ship and its surrounding energy systems before it explodes. Drain this thing dry!"

As the resolute "Light" Goddess spoke, she was already rushing to the bow of the gigantic Eternal-class warship, fearlessly standing on the vessel that was violently exploding. Suddenly, a vast expanse of dull golden-red halo emanated from the wings behind her, rapidly enveloping the warship like a mbrane. I didn’t know what that was, but my perception of energy told that the ship had instantaneously disconnected from the entire universe’s energy system!

Isolating an energy system sounds like a simple task, but with current human technology, completely achieving this is still a pipe dream. Known thods on Earth are nearly incapable of preventing an object from leaking energy—thermal radiation, electromagnetic radiation, gamma radiation, potential energy transformation... Humans simply can’t make a battery that never leaks electricity or a thermos that forever retains heat. In a complete energy system, energy transfer is nearly unstoppable; no matter how many isolation thods you use, you can only slow down the energy exchange between an object and its surrounding space, not prevent it.

Of course, Xyrin Technology possesses the technology to completely isolate energy flow. The Ghost Energy Crystals they make can maintain rich energy without leaking a bit when not connected to a system, but this requires a complex processing procedure. Clearly, Bingdisi used a different thod.

She used a cover... The Divine Race, with their nurous enviable and jealousy-inducing racial advantages.

The mont of internal exclamation was brief. I had already started my task: to drain this interstellar warship stretching nearly dozens of kiloters.

I must admit the self-destruction technology of the Xyrin Army is truly cutting-edge. They certainly don’t skimp on effort in preventing enemies from seizing their weapons compared to researching bigger warships and stronger cannons, making their ans of destruction incredibly complicated. The self-destruction of an Imperial Battleship typically ensues with two phases, the first being the conventional energy release, where the ship is filled with an excessive amount of Ghost Energy causing an explosion large enough to reduce the warship to dust. The second is to prevent external forces from stopping the self-destruction through various interferences, a thod so ingeniously complex that it is simply breathtaking. In short, this can be sumd up as,

"I am going to die, and none of you can stop !"

That’s right, the only way to prevent their self-destruction is to completely drain their energy; even the slightest residue ans the self-destruction system’s interferences can fail.

Fortunately, my first cooperation with Bingdisi went unpredictably smooth. Within a re few seconds, I had drained all the energy from the interstellar warship and released it into the Endless Void. Performing such a significant energy transfer in such a short ti is truly a test of physical endurance; I felt if it happened again, I might as well sprinkle cumin over myself and serve up on the dinner table. Despite our rescue, a third of the warship was still destroyed; its bow had vaporized, and the base of the Galaxy Main Gun at the front had turned into a shattered polygon floating in space. However, the main body, especially the densely crewed midsection, was almost perfectly preserved.

Bingdisi swayed over leisurely, and together like exhausted dogs, we floated mid-air, watching other warships spectacularly conclude their existence like fireworks. She definitely felt miserable; an Eternal-class Mother Ship, as the strongest conventional warship in the Imperial Fleet, doesn’t earn its na for nothing. A squad of Eternal-class Mother Ships at full fire could even reduce a high-order Divine Race squad to slag, and the might unleashed by such a warship during self-destruction was undoubtedly more powerful than a Galaxy shot. Bingdisi’s actions were akin to biting a detonator and jamming it onto a gas stove; even for a high-order mber of the Divine Race, that would result in at least severe soft tissue damage.

"¥@#%#, definitely can’t do this again next ti, no wonder Sandora always forbid from ssing with her Galaxy Fleet. Goodness, if a few more ships were to co, I might have needed your help carrying them back."

Bingdisi complained without any image to maintain, casually slinging her arm over my shoulder, then suddenly grinned, "This ti, that girl might feel a bit better... this is all the help I could offer..."

I didn’t respond, just quietly observing her carefree smiling face, which reminded of the tis in my student days when a bunch of unruly friends hatched plans to cover for each other after causing trouble. Honestly speaking, she really isn’t suitable for a goddess right now, but I must admit, she’s Sandora’s best friend.

There are only three types of truly frustrating yet utterly trustworthy friends in this world—sworn friends, partners in cri, and close allies. Bingdisi, for Sandora, checked two of these boxes at once. What more could I say?

Inside the partially disabled Revenge Army warship, life had vanished. As self-destruction began, the surging Ghost Energy killed most of the soldiers inside, and when I drained its energy, the remaining commanders perished. Eventually, the two of us threw the remains into our Personal Space and returned to the bridge of the Imperial Admiral.

The battlefield outside had cald down, with the sky above Mist God Star densely littered with wreckage and intermittent flashes. The Civilization Community army, having joined the battle last, could only undertake the task of clearing the debris. The command hall was still busy, with various departnts tallying battle damages and arranging temporary military plans. Seeing our return, Sandora quickly approached and asked, "Where have you been?"

"Thank !" Bingdisi swaggered up and gave Sandora a bear hug, then patted her shoulder forcefully, "I went with your husband to the Revenge Army fleet, and we saved a warship for you... well, the crew inside might be dead, but the wreckage could be useful, right?"

Sandora looked at us in surprise for a long mont before showing a resigned smile to Bingdisi, "You’re still the sa as before... But now, you better listen to this first; it might be more interesting than those remnants."

After Sandora spoke, a voice heavily laden with interference echoed from the officer’s platform, repeating three tis:

"...The defense forces were... annihilated... defense line (interference noise) breached... invader numbers enormous... entering warti stat (harsh tearing noise)... loyal to the Queen... long live the Empire... long live the Queen!!"
