Chapter 527: Chapter 527: Guan Yu Fights Qin Qiong

Since the Alliance and the Horde jointly managed the population flow from the Otherworld, three days had passed, and the fragile agreent had already evaporated; the drumbeat for custor snatching resounded once again…

This is the current lively situation in Shadow City.

On one side were the transmigrators from Otherworlds, and on the other side were the vassal races from Azeroth or other worlds. Although there were huge differences between the two, from the perspective of being “foreigners,” the two could be considered to have reached the sa goal by different ans. As a large number of transmigrators lingered in Shadow City and the Kuiper Belt Base, so genius goblin rchant sniffed out the scent of making a fortune and so, almost overnight, such soul-crushing establishnts as “Gold-Edged Rose Kuiper Belt Branch,” “Black Water Inn Earth Chain,” “Passionate Ironforge Five-Star Suite Hotel” sprouted like dog’s-tail moss in the “Outsider Residence Area” of the Imperial Base. Waving banners like “Get a taste of ho (Durotar Propaganda Departnt),” “Humanized service, the familiar sound of hotown voices in Otherworld (Stormwind City Political Propaganda Committee),” “Even if we co from different corners of the world, at least here I can understand your sorrow (Silver Moon City dia Center),” they began a bizarre shopping frenzy in the Otherworld.

That’s right, shopping frenzy. The cost required by these astounding inns was not gold or any other currency. Faced with plane differences, even the hard currencies had to bend, much like that noble descendant who, thinking himself rich with twenty pounds of iron chains, found that even a roadside trash can had a higher purity than what he was wearing. The common gold, which is universally accepted in Azeroth and Earth, only holds a little more value than copper when thrown into the Vedis Empire. The fees charged by the inns were odd and varied but all revolved around the word “specialty.”

Well, two words…

Purple soft glass from the Half-Dragon People, blue sillimanite from Gallent Explorers, Tiberium Crystal Ore from GDI Commanders, and QB from Bakemono…that last one’s just nonsense.

In short, these trinkets the transmigrators casually carried with them temporarily beca the universal equivalent goods in the residential area. They might have been considered worthless personal belongings by their original owners, but to the business-minded rchants of various races, these goodies could turn into a fortune back in their own world, enough to buy an apartnt inside Second Ring Road. No matter the world, nobles with deep pockets and a love for flamboyance were always the ultimate rubes. A sharp businessman would never miss an opportunity to make money from such people. anwhile, transmigrators could use these unnecessary trinkets to exchange for “foreign inn style suites” residency or a large amount of Imperial Coins, allowing them to buy many souvenirs. Even though these inns were just temporarily constructed, many transmigrators were attracted to their added value, and for so ti, business for such inns was booming.

As a result, most of the Imperial Standard Barracks we prepared were deserted…

“They have clear advantages,” said a Miss in front of an inn bearing the overly tacky sign “Believer’s House,” as she busily tapped on a calculator, working out how much foreign exchange we had already lost. “Part of it is the hotown card; so transmigrators co from worlds very similar to those of the inns’ founders, so staying there indeed gives them a sense of ho. Another part is the emotional card; although so transmigrators may not necessarily find the feeling of ho, the innkeepers are also from a foreign land. Even if it’s not the sa atmosphere as their holand, there’s still a sense of shared hardships—although this is just the forr’s wishful thinking. Also, there’s the novelty; even the hosick transmigrators are curious, to experience the local customs of the Otherworld is not a wasted trip. Besides, these ssy inns have countless other advantages, but correspondingly—”

At this point, the red-dressed miss with twin ponytails waved the calculator dramatically, pointing straight at my nose: “Look at your standardized barracks! Stiff, harsh, monotonous, a sea of steel-grey, nothing but uniformity—worthless. Even the door numbers are stupidly placed right in the center of the gates, and custors aren’t allowed to hang anything on the walls! It’s like a prison; this is the aura of a prison! Who would want to live in such a cage, except for those unlucky ones who really have nothing to trade—Even that gaudy church inn started by Lola Stewart has more foresight than you. At least they introduced Otherworld religious experience services; a bottle of farr’s spring water labeled as Holy Water directly priced at two hundred Imperial Coins, my alien uncle! Your foreign currency reserves are slipping away; your economic foundation is crumbling! And if you don’t establish a related currency policy soon, this place will be in chaos!!”

“Um…” After being scolded by the unkind Miss, I cautiously raised my hand in protest. “Rin, let ask a question first, why did you suddenly co here?”

That’s right, the Miss in front of wasn’t Lin Xue or Ding Ling, but Tohsaka Rin, who should have been in another ti-space. However, this morning, she had suddenly opened a space-ti door and teleported here, almost getting caught by the highly tense Shadow City municipal managers as a transmigrator. I was strolling near Shadow Fortress, well, inspecting the construction of the transmigrator’s residential area when she was escorted by a group of soldiers past . After rescuing her, we started chatting in front of this inn started by Lola Stewart.

“Alien uncle, are you trying to drive away?!” The young lady’s spirited eyebrows raised slightly, showing displeasure, but a fleeting trace of panic in her eyes betrayed that she was quite concerned about this issue.

“No, that’s not it; my question is: shouldn’t you be in class now?”

“Eh? How do you know that?”

I shrugged: “You’re underestimating Sister Qianqian’s ability to stir up trouble when she’s idle. She’s been busy compiling a ‘Ti History’ these past days.”

Tohsaka Rin, who had skipped class to be here, nearly fell over: “You superhumans really do have too much free ti on your hands.”

Hey! Just look at the chaos in Shadow City now, and you’ll know if we’re ever idle!

“But speaking of which, I really didn’t expect your territory to be like this. The wisest thing I did in my life was definitely getting to know you, a super-rich person,” as she observed the super-technological landscape of Shadow City and the patrolling majestic Imperial Army, Tohsaka Miss didn’t hide her spirit of having no morals, “I feel like I’m doing myself a disservice if I don’t shake you down thoroughly!”

“Smack!” Finally, I couldn’t help but give this unscrupulous Miss a clean and neat karate chop. Tohsaka, hadn’t you forgotten your family’s honor by speaking so naturally about shaking soone down?

“Ugh, the long-missed karate chop…” Tohsaka covered her head, but a strange, reminiscent expression appeared on her face, sending a chill through my heart: this girl wasn’t recalling her father’s mories because of my chop, was she?

By the way, Tohsaka Shichen, did you really raise your daughter with karate chops from a young age?

“Hey, after all this talk, you still haven’t said what you ca here to do?” I scratched my head and asked the question I had almost forgotten because of the Miss before . In my mory, an excellent student like Tohsaka wasn’t the type to skip classes. Could it be just for the sake of recalling the warmth under her father’s halo that she ran over here? That would be too good… cough cough, too impossible.

“I’m going to England,” Tohsaka Rin lowered her shoulders and said softly, “Of course, the England in my world, because of studying magic… I’ve already said goodbye to Emiya and Sakura, but I still feel that I should say sothing to Uncle Alien…”

I scratched my head, puzzled: “That seems unnecessary, right? We are separated by two worlds, with such a large span. Whether you go to England to study or to Antarctica for scientific research, it seems to like the sa distance.”

Tohsaka Rin looked at blankly, and after three seconds, she suddenly launched an Instant Kick at : “Uncle Alien, you really are an idiot—ouch!”

Watching Miss Tohsaka hold her leg in pain, I finally figured out why she had gone out of her way to say goodbye to : for , finding Tohsaka was a very easy task, taking no more than three seconds, but for her, the only way to co to was through the transmission device in her family’s basent. Although in theory, that device wouldn’t be damaged before the human civilization’s “Amazent Number,” it couldn’t be moved. Tohsaka was certainly not going to travel back and forth from England to Japan to visit the Otherworld, so for her, going to England ant a long ti without being able to see us—although it’s a tearjerker to say, if it had to be described, it’s like a little girl who’s just found a father’s love feeling very conflicted at this mont.

Sigh, I just can’t understand. If that’s the case, why insist on going to England? Why not just ditch the family stuff and move over with Saber and the others for an Imperial Green Card? At worst, I could take responsibility for unifying Japan under the Tohsaka Family with just a couple of squads of soldiers…

Perhaps it’s because I can’t understand Tohsaka’s determination that I’m always called hopelessly resigned to my fate by Lin Xue.

“Well, I’ll make ti to see you later,” understanding her intention, I also revealed a warm smile that Lin Xue nad “Daddy Power,” gently pressing on Tohsaka’s head, “With all those Heroic Spirits around, I’m sure you’ll like the bustling good ti, right?”

“Really?” Tohsaka looked at in surprise, “But you are the Imperial Leader… aren’t you supposed to be very busy… Of course, it’s not that I have any expectations of you coming to see ! It’s just, I didn’t expect such an important person would take the ti to care about such boring little matters…”

Ignoring her obviously tsundere behavior, I laughed loudly, “Ah, well… A qualified leader should learn to let his subordinates worry for him, haha, ha ha ha.”

“As that Sister Lin Xue said, you really are beyond hope, completely lacking ambition,” Tohsaka, unexpectedly receiving my promise, brightened up a lot in her mood, “Ah, by the way, that Sister Lin Xue, could she also be one of your concubines? It’s truly fitting for the ruler of an Empire, surrounded by pretty girls~~”

“Pfft—”

I almost had a trigeminal nerve spasm—what is this girl thinking, saying anything she pleases?

Just as I was about to try and explain to Tohsaka Rin the odd relationship I had with Lin Xue, but finding myself at a loss for words due to the newly ambiguous atmosphere between us, my attention was quickly drawn away by the faint sound of explosions in the distance.

“What’s going on, Alien Uncle?” Tohsaka asked curiously, looking at . Her ears, of course, couldn’t catch the explosions that required high-precision instrunts to detect, so now she was just surprised by the change in my expression.

“Nothing much, seems like there’s trouble in a residential area, I need to go have a look—go ahead and explore by yourself for a bit. Any Imperial Soldier here would be more than willing to guide you.”

“No, I should head back. Looks like my big-shot uncle is busy with sothing, so I’ll leave now, but… you definitely must rember to co visit !”

Wearing a warm, happy smile, the girl who had always carried the burdens of her family seed to have lightened up in an instant. Although it was only for a mont, the bright luster on her face was still dazzling to behold.

Then, with a sudden sunny disposition, this girl slipped away across the street corner in front of , inexplicably using the Shadow City’s exclusive navigator and vanished after fifteen minutes.

If I were to offer directions, I’d surely get beaten to a mosaic by her indignant self. This was a precious piece of experience gained through long cohabitation with a bunch of temperantal girls in my own ho—at the cost of no less than two hundred bite marks.

Shaking my head, I tossed the unpleasant mory of bite marks into so fuzzy corner of my brain and took big strides towards where the commotion erupted from, faintly sensing that Imperial Patrol Teams nearby were already converging on that location.

By the way, I should ntion: it was only after I had run to my destination that I rembered this world possessed sothing that could save you from running called a car…

Upon reaching another distant residential area, the first thing I saw was the crowd of onlookers who were clueless about the situation and the Imperial Soldiers who had already ford a blockade. Big Sister and Sandora had arrived at the scene and were now frowning and conversing in hushed tones.

Looking at the crowd, which was truly a collection of explorers from all corners of the earth—Sword Masters, Jedi, Independent Immortals, hobody superhumans, Great Sword Fighters, Fire Fog Warriors, Monks, Shamans, Heresy Saint Fighters—I was thoroughly convinced of the axiom: “Curiosity is the first step towards committing a cri.”

“What happened, sis, Sandora?”

“Oh, Ah Jun,” Big Sister turned around, saw , and flashed that helpless smile that I’d been so familiar with since I was around seven years old that I could project a holographic image of it in my mind. Just like when one sees a child getting into mischief, “That guy nad Sagara Sousuke got into a conflict with the Spartans.”

A crack of thunder sounded; I felt burned on the outside, tender on the inside.

I juggled the formula in my head for a while before I finally completed the equation of Sagara Sousuke versus Spartans and then marvelled at the wonder of transmigration.

Indeed, the most prominent group among the people separated by the Imperial Soldiers’ isolation zone was those bare-chested, underwear-clad guys with capes. They looked just as flamboyant as when they first arrived, carrying an ostentatious sll of biceps; I could even responsibly suspect whether these guys had taken a bath since arriving, as the blood and mud marks on their bodies had even taken on the scent of cumin.

Across from these Spartan warriors was a troublemaker I initially overlooked, Sagara Sousuke, whose presence only ca to my attention after a reminder by Big Sister and Sandora.

Can’t help it, those 73 cm biceps were stealing the show.

“Dispel the crowd, then bring Sagara Sousuke and Beodar to the Residents’ Committee,” I coolly ordered and left with the authoritative air of the committee director, out of everyone’s sight.

“You two can now explain what happened,” I demanded in the “Residents’ Committee” office, looking at the two seemingly honest guys in front of , my tone strict.

Beodar, a standard Spartan soldier who’s sparing with words—to put it less kindly, hopelessly tongue-tied—was fortunately complented by Sagara Sousuke, who’s good at delivering intel and, more importantly, doesn’t lie. I was finally able to roughly understand the incident.

It was quite simple: he buried landmines so dense near the Spartans’ “encampnt” that an ant passing by could trigger three at once, and then a Spartan warrior accidentally set one off.

Although the latter’s incredible agility and battle-honed alertness ultimately prevented casualties, the beef between the two parties had begun. Brave Spartan Centurion Beodar gave the order, and over seventy n in briefs, enraged and ard with spears, decided to chop down the scene-wrecking, scar-faced pretty boy—only to be swiftly stopped by the Imperial Soldiers who arrived at the news. That’s what happened.

“Sagara Sousuke, my friend,” I said, presenting a warm and friendly smile at a certain rcenary who was sweating bullets and inching back, “you rember that spaceship, right? The one you were asked to polish.”

“Rem… rember…”

“Here’s so good news: that spaceship has been reassigned for another mission, so you don’t have to polish it anymore.”

Sagara Sousuke felt relieved.

“Now for the bad news, due to the increase in transmigrators and the lack of quick reaction force capability in those small patrol ships, I’ve decided to call in three larger ones—they will arrive tomorrow. Get ready to polish, wax, and change filters for three giant warships!!!”

Upon hearing this, he almost burst into tears.

“You dared violate military orders!” I slamd a pencil onto the map, wishing soone would just roll their eyes at . “This is blatant liberalism, barefaced lack of organization, and discipline! The Empire’s military regulations clearly state that third-party military personnel under Imperial Army protection must unconditionally obey the Imperial Military Lawbook during the protection period! And here you are in my military controlled area, making and burying explosives on your own! I should have you executed! Where are the Outsiders’ Rules I gave you (Sagara Sousuke’s special edition)? Where is the Residential Area Residents’ Eight Thousand Glories and Eight Thousand Shas (also Sagara Sousuke’s special edition)? Where’s the Ten Billion Why’s for Transmigrators (still Sagara Sousuke’s special edition)? Did you even read them?!”

Sagara Sousuke, flustered by my roaring, finally spoke up weakly, “Uh… about those manuals, why am I the only one with them?”

Of course! If I hadn’t preemptively tied you up with a four-G Residents’ Guidelines, it wouldn’t just be a Spartan getting blown sky-high by a landmine, you worthless trash!
