"You actually thought about borrowing the Abyss Power?" Bingdisi looked at with a strange expression, a bit incredulous.
I scratched my cheek, knowing that the plan was indeed unexpected: "What, do you have a psychological shadow?"
"Not quite a psychological shadow," Bingdisi shrugged, "it’s just unexpected that soone would propose such an idea—after all, the Divine Race or Xyrin have always thought of one thing when encountering the Abyss, and that is to destroy it. I’ve never heard of using the Abyss as a tool, or even actively triggering Abyss Doomsday... If soone else proposed this, it could definitely go to your military court, right?"
I chuckled: "It’s a bit rebellious. But I know you aren’t rigid on this issue."
People who were originally at odds with the Abyss are now going to borrow its power. This idea wasn’t conceivable seventy thousand years ago, but now the Empire has even established the Abyss Independent Group; so things have to change. Although the Divine Race doesn’t yet have a concept of ’Abyss Divine Race,’ I know Bingdisi has trendous adaptability—this fierce scholar who chose a major against her race’s norms has to be strongest in her adaptability.
Bingdisi looked down at her hands, gently grasping them a few tis, her tone sowhat reminiscent: "I thought I’d never turn into that form in this life... Oh well, Sandora accepted her claws, I’m not worried. But there’s another problem: Though opening the Abyss Gate indeed destroys the world, it doesn’t happen instantly. Even a large Abyss Gate takes ten days to half a month to dismantle a universe: it needs to spread and worsen, and it goes through a process from universal pollution to material world collapse. There are several standards for Doomsday, and I guess you want the most thorough form: the complete fragntation of the material world. If it’s a normal Abyss Gate, it will take ti, and the Fallen Angels will arrive before then."
That’s indeed a problem; before discussing, we need clear recognition of ’Doomsday’: this is a complex concept.
It’s been ntioned before that Doomsday has different criteria based on the Observer’s position.
For humans, the extinction of human civilization is Doomsday: when the last person stops breathing, it’s Doomsday for that race. However, in this universe, humans are rely a layer of high-molecular protein on a small planet with a radius of seven thousand kiloters. The cessation of these chemical reactions is trivial—let alone Doomsday, it scarcely counts as a recordable event in the universe’s course. The Abyss Doomsday follows the sa logic; we often see terms in disaster reports related to the Abyss: XX universe encountered massive infection, Doomsday ended in hours. This ’Doomsday’ is judged by the Observer as an intelligent being, even if the Abyss instantaneously infects every corner, it needs a gradual collapse. It’s like a skyscraper collapsing; the top brick doesn’t reach the ground instantly; it’s the sa principle.
And now, we need to tear apart the entire world before the Fallen Angels’ Observers arrive in this universe, creating the illusion of Doomsday caused by the Abyss Gate explosion, then taking advantage of the chaos to pull the world fragnts with intelligent life into the Imperial District for a new universe composition. Clearly, the need is the most thorough ’Doomsday.’ But the problem is: we only have a few hours—normal Abyss Gates can’t cause universe collapse in such a short ti.
Bingdisi has the power to destroy worlds, but to prevent Fallen Angels from detecting our involvent, she can only use Abyss Radiation to handle it, and ti will be tight. But I’ve thought about this for several days; there’s already a plan: "I have arrangents; starting a few days ago, I’ve had so border outposts and heavy Void Fortresses drift near this universe, and later you’ll attack them."
Bingdisi raised an eyebrow: "You want them to fall onto the World Barrier, using chain reactions to explode this universe?"
"That’s the gist," I nodded, "border outposts and heavy fortresses randomly change positions periodically; it’s normal for them to get close to material worlds, and these are regular defense shifts, so the Fallen Angels won’t suspect. They won’t expect the Empire to act pretending to use Abyss Power, hence not perceiving the Abyss eruption in this universe as a human event. The Abyss Gate within the universe will impact unlucky outposts on the World Barrier; that’s normal, too—and you can attack a few Fallen Angels’ outposts while you’re at it. As far as I know, they have three or four outposts near the barrier; if you can destroy them without exposing yourself, the whole thing will seem more real. As long as a ’gap’ in the World Barrier is blasted open, the Void and Abyss will react intensely near it, and the rest will follow natural law, using those outposts as a triggering point."
"Also destroy Fallen Angels’ outposts," Bingdisi contemplated, "taking out the outposts isn’t hard; not exposing is the tricky part... But I have never revealed my Abyss Form when fighting Fallen Angels, they don’t have identification data, so this task should be doable."
"It must be done," I gave Bingdisi a look, "this is a fire line; if Fallen Angels realize this world is a human-caused event, they’ll spare no effort to destroy all world fragnts drifting towards the Imperial District—better wrongfully kill than miss, that’s always been their philosophy."
Sister Bing impatiently waved her hand: "Fine, fine, it’ll be done, consider this the first task completed under the Angel Envoy identity under the Emperor’s..."
: "..." Will this female hooligan’s talking without being abrasive kill her?
At this mont, I suddenly heard a hesitant voice from behind: "Um... can I ask sothing?"
I turned around and saw the Blood Princess standing behind , her face full of puzzled curiosity, and the Foolish Big Guy and Antier also looked at everyone with bewildernt not far away.
I slapped my forehead: the urgent situation earlier drew everyone’s attention away, resulting in these three being left in the dark for about ten minutes, and now that Bingdisi and I finally finished discussing serious matters, the Blood Princess found her chance to chi in.
"You seem to be talking about sothing very important," the Blood Princess had a rather subtle expression, her eyes sowhat avoiding, "If I heard correctly, you ntioned blowing up the universe, Doomsday, and enemies—this... is the Doomsday the kind I imagine?"
"Probably more serious than you think," I said, as I looked at the Blood Princess, head pounding with the thought of tens of billions of natives with their lives about to turn upside down behind this little black cat. Comparing the upcoming actions involving so many people makes my head ache even more, "Have you heard of the Evil God?"
"The opposing force of yours?" The Blood Princess truly lives up to being one of the top intelligence strategists in this world, quickly understanding my aning, she was instantly dumbfounded.
"Sigh, you might not realize that the world you live in is in such a remarkable place," Lin Xue sighed with a slightly subtle expression, "to put it simply, it’s located on the firing line where two opposing Divine Races are fighting; the Evil Gods are part of the Abyss Camp—the Abyss is like the demonic forces you speak of."
The Blood Princess looked uneasily at the distant sealing door behind her that had returned to tranquility: that seal had been completely purified, appearing simply like an ordinary cave, with Alaya foolishly flying around inside, joyfully oblivious.
I knew this cat girl in front was certainly misunderstanding sothing, but the complex relationships between the Abyss, Xyrin, Star Domain, and Fallen Angels can’t be explained in one go; when there’s ti later, I might lay out an equation for her and explain what the four nations’ chess is about. But now, I can only gesture at her: "Don’t think too much about it; anyways, those madn probably noticed our activities here, and might send a large force over in a few hours. Now we need to move your star system to a safe place—this transfer might be a bit rough, we don’t guarantee what you’ll see, but we’ll do our best to ensure all mortals’ safety. You have at most three to four hours to prepare, pacify the civilians, prevent them from mass suiciding."
Speaking of group suicides, this is the most troubleso matter. Whenever a catastrophe strikes, there will always be a bunch of jittery folks who fear the world is not chaotic enough, causing harm either to others or to themselves. Often, after a crisis with no real issue, humanity’s biggest loss is a bunch of suicides—I guess when the universe starts tearing apart, there will be at least four-digit numbers of people jumping together from the Long Bridge Mountain Range...
Because we can’t provide large-scale protection to these world fragnts. Even amid chaos, if a world fragnt shows a large-scale reaction of Ghost Energy or Divine Power, it will still be noticed. So probably the only thing that could escape unscathed would be inhabited planets. And what would the native residents of these planets see?
The starry sky tilting, the disappearance of the sun, the collapse of the sky, and even possibly another planet crashing head-on. With the world being at its end, you certainly can’t expect everything to appear normal outside the atmosphere.
Though Blood Princess still doesn’t understand what we’re doing, she already sensed the urgency and the significant impact from everyone’s serious expressions. After all, as one of the five who once saved the world, she’s quite adept at remaining calm during unexpected ergencies. The ears on the Demon Beast Girl’s head perked up alertly, her tail swiftly drawing a circle: "Alright! Let’s first ensure the army doesn’t panic. With the Transmission Station, we can stabilize the Great City."
"Wait a minute," Lin Xue suddenly thought of sothing, "This is a chance—let the Goddess step in. Once the world starts tearing apart, the massive disturbance will temporarily disrupt the Fallen Apostle’s scanning. At this point, we can deploy sothing larger: we will project Alaya’s image across Haisenwood and Red Moon, and certainly Edwin’s too. We’ll put on a show, explaining various anomalies as the Goddess conducting the final purification on the Dark Moon Demon. This directly paves the way for normalcy on your two planets."
Blood Princess’s eyes lit up, imdiately realizing what a perfect opportunity it was, and she nodded right away: "Alright, leave it to , I’ll contact Edwin imdiately."
"Hmm, go on," Lin Xue waved her hand and then turned her head, "And we should make so arrangents on our side too. Although Wood has already secretly organized the big picture, I’m sure this careless guy has tons of flaws in the details..."
I looked at Miss, feeling quite annoyed: "Did you need to criticize at a ti like this?"
The eerie, dark underground cave certainly isn’t a good place to discuss matters. After Blood Princess and the long-ti-no-see foolish big guy couple returned to the Dark Moon Palace, we also returned to the surface. Although the foggy Dark Moon sky doesn’t offer much of a view, at least this bright environnt slightly alleviated the sense of oppression in our hearts. I connected to the Void Outpost’s communication: "Report your situation over there."
"Yes, Your Majesty," the voice returned from the outpost was slightly distorted due to the use of an extrely specialized high-suppression encrypted channel, "The Fallen Apostles are still increasing their scanning intensity on the universe you’re in. We’ve already activated the sa scale of scanning stations as should be taken under normal circumstances. Currently, over half of the scanning stations employed by the Fallen Apostles are in broad scanning mode. Preliminary judgnt is they haven’t discovered your specific movents yet. Additionally, based on the intercepted Corps beacon signal spectrum, preliminary judgnt is there’s approximately half a fully organized legion’s fleet jumping towards ’Fire Line’ within the Fallen Apostle’s borders. The number of subsequent troops is unknown, nor can we determine if any additional troops exist."
"How much longer approximately?"
"The enemy’s Border Defense Army has arrived but is currently confronting our forces, with no intent to take action. The main enemy force is expected to arrive in seven hours of standard ti," There was a slight pause from the outpost’s side, "Your Majesty, a warning signal has been sent back to the Imperial District, and the Sixth Fleet Patrol Corps has already departed."
According to my plan, what at first appears to be a major battle will ultimately end with the Material Universe being torn apart, with the Imperial Army and Fallen Apostles losing their focal point in combat, resulting in an anticlimax. That is to say, if all goes well, the Imperial Army does not need to engage decisively with the enemy in this unwelco place, but I still responded, "We must act the part; accelerate the mobilization of the Defense Army and the Sixth Legion’s patrol mobilization units to co over, portraying a hurried Imperial response to the confrontation, without letting the enemy discover any of our preparations. Are those outposts set up as targets ready?"
"All B sequence outposts and three large Void Fortresses are in place, moved gradually in accordance with your instructions in regular replacent mode. The outposts are guarded by puppet forces, so no flaws will be exposed."
"Good," I glanced at Bingdisi and then answered in my mind, "Four hours later, this material world will show an Abyss reaction. At that ti, put up a bit of resistance as needed; no need to worry about fighting forcefully, as the adversary is a powerhouse."
Bingdisi waved her fist at with pride, clearly satisfied with the ’powerhouse’ evaluation of hers.
"Still not planning to transform?" I glanced at this female hooligan, "You’ve gone years without using that power, better familiarize yourself with it a bit. In case you lose control later, I’ll have to use the Reford Scoundrel Face Slap to save the situation—this ti I’m afraid I might not be able to restrain myself."
"It’s just too ugly, could you guys turn around?" Bingdisi raised a hand, and I noticed that mysterious black runes began to gradually erge on her arm.
Everyone knows the family’s moral standard, which is evident. Instantly, everyone’s eyes were fixed intently on this female hooligan: "Transform quickly, transform quickly..."
Bingdisi was dumbfounded for a mont, clutching her head of silver hair while cursing at us: "What the hell kind of people are you all!"
anwhile, Bingdisi herself also began to change gradually.
So strange black patterns surfaced on her slightly pale skin, rapidly spreading out like ink bleeding on Xuan paper. Structurally, these patterns comprised runes from the Divine Language, yet they continuously emitted a dangerous Abyssal Aura, spreading across Bingdisi’s body until finally halting near her chin. The black runes flickered erratically, with a grey-black unsettling dust constantly rising from their surface. Eventually, Bingdisi appeared to be enveloped by a layer of gloomy mist. Despite her standing right there, I could clearly sense the abnormal distortion affecting the light around her, making it difficult for my visual focus to linger on her face for long periods.
"Feeling not comfortable," Bingdisi spoke, her voice carrying a crackling sound as the atmospheric concentration around her was thrown off balance, "These patterns on my body are truly ugly—it took so much effort to initially get rid of them."
The black runes now on Bingdisi are precisely those I saw the first ti I t her. Back then, this Goddess closed the Abyss Gate at the cost of her own life, imprinting these seals upon herself. Initially, these runes shone brilliantly, but after a long-term erosion and assimilation, even the godly words inscribed by Holy Light transford into these displeasing marks of contamination. Although in my perspective, these black patterns actually never detracted from Bingdisi’s beauty; like tattoos carrying a mystic charm, they might look striking from a different angle. There’s another reason, considering Bingdisi has grown so fierce now, even if her body were adorned with two ribbonfish, presumably no one would bother to care...Anyway, Bingdisi herself doesn’t think so. These Abyss infection-representative runes discomfort her, so after being purified by Face Slap Fist, gaining control over her inner Abyssal powers, she hid all these marks away.
Now, she must once again activate her Abyss side, allowing these runes to be exposed once more.
"Alright, as you wish, the old lady’s transformation is complete," Bingdisi grumbled discontentedly, retrieving her favorite pair of exquisite long gloves from her Personal Space: this sowhat conceals the runes on her body, "Now, I must familiarize myself with simulating the phenonon of opening the Abyss Gate—look at the huge trouble you gave ."
