Capítulo 1434: Chapter 1434: An

(First of all, I ask for monthly votes. I need to maintain the first place in monthly votes for the first ti in my life~~ Then, let say, the forum is investigating how many people plan to buy the physical book in groups, group purchases might be slightly cheaper. Of course, when the book cos out is probably three to four months later.)

To be honest, I never really thought about what this Divine Artifact should look like initially. After all, its origin can be traced back to an era even before the Xyrin Apostle was born. Such a ti span can’t be explained with just archaeology — roughly equivalent to having Qianqian’s dad take a snuff bottle from the late Qing Dynasty to speculate about the shape of the Big Bang. In the face of this span, any imagination is feeble and powerless. The Star Domain we know now should have looked entirely different back then.

But I was still quite surprised to see the Divine Artifact… How co it’s a ball? Can’t it be another shape?

“After all that strenuous effort just for a ball,” Bingdisi murmured while tapping on the golden sphere, “the design style of this antique is truly unique. It’s the first ti I’ve seen a spherical recording device… There’s no way around it, can’t find the reading path, the runes on the surface are in an obsolete format whose usage we have no clue about. Let’s put this thing aside for now.”

I looked up at the Blood Princess and Foolish Big Guy, and found their expressions quite interesting—lines so stiff they looked like plaster casts, utterly petrified.

“You… don’t tell even you don’t know the function of the Divine Artifact?” The Blood Princess looked at with a peculiar expression and finally landed her gaze on Alaya, “Weren’t you saying the Divine Artifact was her stationery box?”

: “…Actually, it’s due to the distant age…”

Why did I carelessly blurt out “stationery box” back then!

“Let’s not talk about that for now,” Foolish Big Guy suddenly interrupted the conversation with a coarse voice, worriedly looking at Bingdisi, “What about Antier? Didn’t you say there was a way to separate Antier from the Divine Artifact?”

“Don’t worry about that,” Bingdisi easily snapped her fingers, “What we ntioned regarding the Divine Artifact’s ‘reading and writing thod’ is sothing more advanced. It shouldn’t affect your wife’s condition. Let’s talk about how that human girl Antier fused with the Divine Artifact — based on my observations, this thing doesn’t have the function to hide people in a special space, Antier isn’t trapped in so Other Space.”

Foolish Big Guy breathed a sigh of relief and then scratched his head, frowning: “How to describe it… Ever since she was infused with Divine Power, Antier no longer seed human. When she appears, she descends in the form of a light, and when she rests, she disperses in a similar light form. But she always appears around the Divine Artifact, so we say she’s fused with it.”

“A beam of light?” Bingdisi professionally lowered her head slightly and pressed her palm on the temple, pondering like a seasoned professor for a while, “I’m associating with sothing not very pleasant… Back to what I initially said, human flesh theoretically cannot endure the infusion of any divinity. Antier turning from flesh and blood into Holy Light already involves the mass-energy equation… Oh, let’s not talk about this. Anyway, since she turned into a beam of light, there’s one possibility; her physical body… might no longer exist. You know, mortals can’t bear certain things.”

Blood Princess and Foolish Big Guy were stupefied simultaneously.

“Don’t worry even if the body is gone, it’s a minor issue,” Bingdisi waved her hand, “Now let’s lure that girl out. That Dragon Girl ntioned before, right? Two conditions are required to summon the Goddess: a sufficiently strong Abyss reaction and the Faith Power of mortals. The Abyss reaction is easy to address…”

As Bingdisi spoke, she looked up at the sealing gate drawn on the rock wall before her, currently in a semi-material state: “Opening this gate will provide the Abyss reaction. As for Faith Power from mortals, I don’t quite understand this—our True Gods don’t need to collect this kind of energy, the so-called Faith Power doesn’t exist, Fake Gods collect spiritual power as their energy source. Because of a thing called the Void Ladder, mortal’s spirit and thoughts do not provide any benefit to True Gods. We establish religions and faith as a communication network and a one-way download resource point. We listen to mortals’ prayers to collect custor complaint opinions, while mortals get so divine protection through this network. This is the faith system under True God. I think what you refer to as faith definitely isn’t what I’m talking about.”

Foolish Big Guy and Blood Princess exchanged looks, and the latter’s ears twitched quickly: “Looks like a lot of our understanding about God is mistaken… We’ve always thought it was the energy generated from the prayers of believers that awakened the Goddess.”

“Pshaw, prayers generate energy like making a complaint call produces GDP,” Bingdisi laughed disdainfully with a wave, “So, just tell us how you summon the Goddess. I’m still not feeling any other seals in this Divine Artifact.”

“It’s just a prayer ceremony, devout prayers from countless believers over several days…” Blood Princess imdiately began explaining various rituals held by the Goddess Sect to summon the Goddess, ticulously explaining this complex process, with Foolish Big Guy occasionally chiming in beside her. This scene is truly odd, and one can only guess how surprised the Surface People would be if they saw this: The Dark Moon Lord and Blood Princess, whom they idolize as demons, are so familiar with the process of summoning the Goddess, and in fact, they helped establish it over two thousand years ago…

Bingdisi patiently listened till they finished, finally showing a contemplative expression: “So… I understand now, your prayer rituals and sacrificial offerings didn’t actually have an effect. The only effective thing was having enough people simultaneously think of one thing: you concentrated massive ntal activity in one place, and through incense and religious tools on the ritual site, did a shallow hypnosis on the believers; the final result was generating a huge synchronous thought wave, and… the Goddess was awakened by your nuisance.”

Blood Princess and Foolish Big Guy: “…Huh?”

“Simply disturbed awake,” Bingdisi affird with nodding, “because my children did similar brainless things too. They thought organizing an unprecedentedly grand worship across the whole star system could please the Goddess. At that ti, the Pope who had just taken office was a reckless youth. That kid organized believers from the whole star system, all wearing ntal synchronizers, chanting my na at the sa ti… Dammit, thinking back now still makes cringe; my ears almost went deaf the mont I opened the managent terminal. You can’t imagine the impact of two hundred forty billion people thinking about one thing simultaneously. Now, when I occasionally visit the temple for reports, there’s still residual effect on …”

Blood Princess and Foolish Big Guy were dumbfounded, and my expression wasn’t much better. Originally, I thought only Dingdang had a group of silly archbishops. It turns out, Bingdisi’s weirdos are just as nurous: all believers in the star system picking up the Bible to text Bingdisi at once—have you ever seen a more irritating harassnt thod? The fact that Sister Bing didn’t bring about an apocalypse shows her love for mankind…

“So what should we do now?” Qianqian curiously glanced at everyone, “Should we organize a worldwide collective nostalgia eting? That might not be possible given the ti constraints…”

“No need to go through such trouble.” Bingdisi chuckled while patting the big tal ball, “A sufficiently strong collective thought wave can awaken the God from slumber. This is one of the Star Domain God’s talents. Back then, Father God added this talent to serve as a last alarm: when his followers face catastrophic extinction, even if not paying attention to the present world, the God would imdiately get alerted. Now it seems the residual divinity of a reconnaissance soldier who died in battle got attached to this Divine Artifact, allowing it to receive this ‘ultimate alarm’ ability; and due to its limited functionality, the Artifact mistakenly transferred this alert to Antier, and it can’t differentiate the entity emitting the alert. A poorly identified alarm system is easily triggered.”

She then placed her hand on the golden sphere, silently beginning to communicate with this large tal item.

Although the information stored inside the orb cannot be read, its divine reaction is at least controllable. This divine reaction, originating from the Father God, has endured countless years, maintaining its initial frequency till today. Divinity, this is the gene and racial mory of the God. No matter how many evolutions the first generation of the Divine Race has undergone, the alarm signal that the Father God embedded in their innate talents for the protection of the “children” remains unchanged. Bingdisi, a genius-level expert in the Divine Technique, quickly decrypted this alarm signal.

“Open the door.” Surrounded by increasingly bright golden Holy Light, Bingdisi pointed to the sealing gate carved into the stone wall and spoke aloud.

The Blood Princess had been prepared for a long ti. She activated the last few stones used to control the rune array under the door and then quickly retreated with the Foolish Big Guy behind us—neither of them intended to face the Abyss Impact directly.

During the initial activation, the sealing gate on the stone wall was already in a semi-solid state. Now, with the Blood Princess removing the final layer of restriction on this ancient seal, light burst forth from every engraving on the door. Through the continuous and roaming light flow, the door, originally just an intaglio relief, gradually beca solid and then slowly slid open to the sides with a heavy rumbling noise.

Qianqian, looking at this marvelous scene with curiosity, couldn’t help but mumble: “So it slides, but there are no tracks underneath?”

The Blood Princess hesitated for a mont, unable to hold it in: “…Why is she paying attention to that?”

I nodded gravely: “The Ti Goddess doesn’t usually view things from a normal perspective; she lives in a different dinsion from you all.”

The Blood Princess nodded with sincere admiration: “Indeed, matters of the God are truly profound.”

As the sealing gate that divided the boundary between reality and illusion slowly opened, the twisted space within the stone wall was revealed in front of everyone. The place where the Abyss resided was as uninventive as ever: beyond the gate lay only sheer darkness. If you tried hard to discern in that endless darkness, you could see massive clouds of murky mist crazily surging within the door, and it seed as though sothing within those surging black mists was about to break free.

The noise of the opening gate had already alerted the fierce beasts trapped in the seal, the ancient wandering souls, as well as the Abyss Power intending to taint the real world. I felt an unpleasant aura rushing toward , but this aura was quickly warded off by a pure white wing in front of : Alaya had finally awakened from her prolonged daydreaming state. Seeing the Abyss Seal in front of her, she instinctively shielded with her wing, earnestly saying, “I’ve already protected Lord Brother!”

I rotated Alaya’s wing to face the sealing gate: “Focus on the task at hand. When Antier is summoned out later, go in and purify this place. Move quickly but quietly.”

The reason I instructed Alaya with this temporary task was because I noticed Bingdisi seed preoccupied. The female hooligan was busy analyzing the Divine Artifact’s pre-warning interface, and if Antier were to be summoned later, she would need to assist in the separation of soul and Divine Artifact. So I thought it better to have Alaya handle the purification inside the gate. It wasn’t that I hadn’t considered having Pandora and Visca go in; their Ghost Energy bombardnt effects wouldn’t be any less than Alaya’s Holy Light. However, the commotion caused by those two, both barely over a ter tall, would be far too great. I feared they might accidentally blow up the Earth’s Core of this planet. Given their leaders-of-explosives-party personalities, it’s certainly sothing they would do.

Just then, Bingdisi suddenly whistled: “Done!”

As soon as her words fell, unlike the Holy Lights of Alaya and Bingdisi, a third-party Holy Light suddenly condensed from the air near the Divine Artifact. It quickly aggregated, intensified, and materialized within a few seconds, taking on a vague female form. I slapped Alaya on the back simultaneously: “You’re the chosen one! Off you go, goofy cat!”

Imdiately, I felt a gust of strong wind whistling past , as the Angel Sister charged toward the dark sealing gate like a runaway… The surging black mist and erging monster figures within the gate were initially about to break through the Dragon Language Rune on the stone wall, but when t with Alaya’s overwhelming Holy Light, they suddenly retreated en masse. Even mindless monsters have an instinctual reaction to avoid harm.

Though it didn’t really matter how they tried to avoid it. Even though the Angel Sister seed a bit slow-witted, it didn’t impede her combat strength and awareness as an Imperial General. In the end, the Abyss of this world was rely a trace of residue that had leaked out of a sample box; its quantity might be vast, but its quality was nothing remarkable. Those mutated monsters might have so combat capability, but after being sealed for over two thousand years, they were in a state of absolute weakness. So when Alaya entered, it was akin to the pace of punching Nanshan Elderly Care Center and kicking North Sea Kindergarten; the Angel Sister was like a radiant Fusion Furnace within the sealing gate. All darkness receded under the light of her innocently luminous aura…

Those twisted monsters hadn’t even fully reacted before they lted away like wax candles under the Holy Light Storm, subsequently turning into mist, their sorrowful wails echoing throughout the underground space for a long ti—this scene truly turned the location into sothing as spine-chilling as a Demon Cave. Moreover, the dangerous dark patterns and abnormal Shadow Zone were visibly dissipated. Holy Light, as a highly orderly, world-level abstract phenonon, could neutralize the Abyss with great efficiency. From the perspective of the Void Ladder, it was on the sa level as the Universe, and the Abyss of this world hadn’t even managed to taint two Star Systems, how could it possibly contend with the Creation Light?

Clearing out the Abyss pollution near the gate took only a short while, after which the Angel Sister began the true purification ritual. She spread her wings and used Holy Light to construct a grand tower-like “structure” around her, which was the Heavenly Country Landmark—it would restore everything illuminated by its light to the state at the beginning of ti, essentially reverting things to their initial form at the birth of all things. Through the power of the Heavenly Country Landmark, everything within the sealed space would swiftly transform into fundantal particles and radiation waves, akin to the world ten seconds after the Big Bang. Monsters and wandering souls would cease to exist, and the Abyss would be thoroughly neutralized.

However, our attention shifted away from the purification ritual by then: Bingdisi had already “decomposed” the soul mixed within the Divine Artifact, revealing a female figure shrouded in white light in the open space before us. If I wasn’t mistaken, this should be Antier. She was a plain-looking girl, her appearance could only be described as delicate, with a head of chestnut, slightly curly long hair. Her figure was slender, dressed in a simple white dress. Like the Divine Statues made by the Goddess Church, she had a pair of pure white wings behind her—these wings were undoubtedly the result of mutation. Although they resembled Alaya’s wings, the indistinct, ethereal texture proved this was rely an illusion recorded by the Divine Artifact of the old owner and forcibly rged with a mortal by the unidentifiable Divine Artifact.

Antier appeared sowhat peculiar. Even though she had been awakened, her expression remained stiff, floating awkwardly in mid-air like a lifeless sculpture. The Foolish Big Guy and the Blood Princess were standing just a few ters ahead of her, yet this “Divine” human girl seed oblivious to them, as though lacking any thought.

Then she finally moved—but not to greet old friends. Antier suddenly summoned a golden Longsword from thin air and began silently charging toward the sealing space!

However, she didn’t get far. We were already prepared for this scenario. As soon as Antier made her move, two small figures nimbly appeared before her. Pandora and Visca caught her from either side, keeping her from pushing forward toward the sealing gate without expression, the two little girls wouldn’t let go.

“Brother, brother, this sister is really troubleso,” Visca grumbled impatiently.

“She’s one of us.” I cald Visca down, then turned to Bingdisi, whose face bore a thoughtful expression. After so contemplation, she nodded: “Hmm, as I suspected, this human girl’s body might have been burned clean during the first encounter with the Holy Light anointnt, but her afterimage overlapped with the image recorded in the Divine Artifact, forming this special state. Strictly speaking, she died once over two thousand years ago; now she’s a sacred… ghost.”

At that mont, I was reminded of the ghost maid at ho who could emit Holy Light. (To be continued. If you like this work, feel free to vote for recomndations and monthly votes on Qidian (qidian), your support is my greatest motivation. Mobile users, please visit m.qidian to read.)
