Before departure, Lin Xue ntioned that the lowa people discovered sothing quite important. However, due to the limitations of the Prophet’s Prophecy and this girl’s wicked sense of humor, she never clearly told everyone what exactly the lowa people discovered. Only now do we know she was referring to the Heart of the World carrier left in the Technology Side after the Fifteenth Day Zone Capital was conceptually split.
The Capital Universe of the Fifteenth Day Zone split into two parts, the Mysterious Side and the Technology Side, after the conceptual split. The Heart of the World, the entanglent point of all information in each world, was also split in two. The Heart of the World on the Mysterious Side has been found, it was a black tal ring that almost fooled . However, when we later searched for the Heart of the World on the Technology Side, we were astonished to find it had vanished without a trace.
At that ti, everyone suspected that the Heart of the World on the Technology Side was seized by the Fallen Apostle during the dormant period. We had limited information back then, and the only ones who had intentions towards the Heart of the World with enough power to get their hands on it were the Fallen Apostles. It was a reasonable assumption, but assumptions are just assumptions. To this day, we haven’t found any substantial evidence to prove that the Heart of the World from the Fifteenth Day Zone Capital is really in the hands of the Fallen Apostle, so the matter was temporarily put aside.
The Heart of the World is extrely important to a universe with a complete system. As the entanglent point for all information since the universe’s inception, its disappearance could easily lead to chaos in universal constants and a decrease in stability. However, this generally wouldn’t result in imdiate Doomsday. Moreover, since the Capital World of the Fifteenth Day Zone was an administrative center of the Old Empire, it had been adjusted and fortified by the Xyrin Apostles to run forever stably without the Heart of the World. So although I was concerned, with so many more pressing issues at hand, I almost forgot that we had lost a Heart of the World.
I didn’t expect it to suddenly show up in this situation: found in the storage vault of the lowa people.
"Hey...wait a minute," I noticed many inexplicable things, "The lowa people were isolated on the Mysterious Side after the conceptual split. How could they find the Technology Side world? How did the Heart of the World end up in their hands?"
"Hence, this crystal wasn’t sothing they stole from the universe where Gaia resided," Miss placed her hand on the crystal’s surface, squinting slightly as if conversing with sothing inside the crystal, "Wood, do you rember when you popped off as a noob?"
I was taken aback, unsure why the topic suddenly shifted here, followed by an awkward mont: the matter of noobily popping off had been teased by this sharp-tongued lady several tis: "...Can we not talk about it so bluntly?"
"Oh please, what are you embarrassed about with ," Miss snorted, "This piece of crystal being in the hands of the lowa people is sowhat related to that old event."
I was dumbfounded, feeling that things might unfold dramatically once more.
"As you know, the Void is above all," Miss winked at playfully, "Above all, what does it an? It ans that no matter how ingenious and ticulous Sister Chen Qian’s conceptual split plan was, no matter how neatly and smoothly the two split Mother Stars were cut, it was only relevant to things at the world’s level or below. To the Void...if a conceptual split can be described, then it is below the Void, and since it’s below the Void, it would ignore any dilly-dallying splits."
I looked at Miss, feeling perplexed: All of us are people, so how co this girl’s learning ability is so amazing? She seems to have researched things about the Void more thoroughly than I have...
Lin Xue didn’t notice my gaze. She opened her hand and summarized, "In other words, to the Void, the conceptual split could be ignored from the start. Though the conceptual split indeed ’bypassed’ the Void to so extent, that was re trickery. Precisely speaking, because the conceptual split didn’t challenge the ’rules’ of the Void, such a minor loophole was simply overlooked by the latter. And then, when you this Void Creature popped off to court death without much thought, you were young back then, comparable to a human toddler wielding a binky going to save the world...Wood, what kind of look is that? Do you want to say you went to save the world with your placenta still attached?"
: "...Alright, you carry on, just don’t ntion the placenta thing."
I found that I should never try to win against this sharp-tongued girl in a verbal battle. Her mouth is too articulate and too daring: I’ve already struggled to deal with half the silver tongue that Xiao Xue inherited from Miss!
"In simple terms, back then—and perhaps even now—you couldn’t distinguish between the two conceptually split worlds at all, because the information barrier between them was essentially invisible from your Void Creature perspective, and back then Sister Chen Qian didn’t explain it clearly to you. Thus, when you were asked to bless the Capital, you sincerely blessed both worlds instead...Wood, do you now know why you popped off back then?"
I was dazed for a long ti, pointing to my nose: "Was I OT back then?"
Lin Xue solemnly nodded, "Though according to my Prophet judgnt, even if you weren’t OT, you’d still pop off, but had you concentrated all your power on protecting one world back then, at least you’d pop longer in the process..."
I probably couldn’t stop Miss from focusing on my popping matter back then.
We all understood what Lin Xue said, simply put: the conceptual split perford by Big Sister in a past life was only effective on the world, but to Void Creatures, it was trivial and invisible. And back then, unaware of the details, I diverted half my power to protect the Technology Side Mother Star while assisting in defending the Mysterious Side Mother Star—probably, in my view back then, these two places were still overlapping. So what happened after I popped over the towers?
"Many things from Gaia got swept away by you—of course, most of them were far from the Mother Star, insignificant matters, as your primary shock impact was at the Mysterious Side, and Gaia was rely shaken by residual waves. But perhaps it was destiny, through sheer luck, the Heart of the World was also incidentally extracted..." Lin Xue’s eyes glowed white, and she placed both hands on the crystal, using it as a dium. Miss attempted to restore the events as much as possible from another viewpoint. While so details remained unclear, the overall flow should be like this, "Subsequently, this crystal floated in the Void and was eventually picked up by the lowa people."
This was completely different from the conjecture that everyone had before.
"I didn’t expect it to be the true situation," Sandora sighed, "In this case, it also explains why Gaia can’t find records of this Heart of the World, as it was swept away by a Void Creature, which is akin to being deleted at the world level—the whole thing was unrelated to the Fallen Apostle. However...there are still too many enigmatic places in the past events, who knows how many more unexpected secrets will be unveiled in the future...Nevertheless, for now, at least there’s good news, the Heart of the World on the Technology Side did not fall into the hands of the Fallen Apostle, comparatively, it barely found itself in the hands of that idiot Barrian."
"Mm," Lin Xue just nodded absently, seeming less optimistic than Sandora, "If my eyes aren’t deceiving , the information entanglent point of the Heart of the World is still sealed inside this crystal, not having jumped away, but...I hope I’m just overthinking."
I looked at Lin Xue. She’s not one to worry needlessly, so I was very concerned about her current reaction: "What’s up? Feel sothing’s wrong?"
"Coincidence," Miss wiped a bit of sweat from her forehead, observing such ancient matters was draining even with a Heart of the World as a dium, "Almost everything you took away from the Technology Side Capital World was insignificant, mostly ’small stones’ at the universe’s edge, yet the Heart of the World is the only exception: it’s definitely not insignificant. The Heart of the World was also tightly protected by Gaia’s defense system, yet you accidentally and ’precisely’ took it back then. Additionally, it’s true that the Heart of the World drifted in the Void, but how did it traverse such a great ’distance’ away from the Imperial District, eventually reaching here? Even with precise navigation, drifting constantly so far without landing in any Main Material World would be highly unlikely, right? According to my observations, before the lowa people discovered this weak Ghost Energy Crystal in the Void, it never contacted any extra universe. Furthermore, the lowa people picking up the Heart of the World—this too is a very low probability coincidence. I currently can’t see what the specific situation is, but it seems like...this Heart of the World is autonomously acting, it...chose its own destiny, a bit like..."
Lin Xue couldn’t find suitable words to describe the purposiveness of the series of coincidences regarding the Heart of the World, but Sandora added the latter sentence: "It’s as though it consciously wanted to escape the Imperial District!"
Everyone focused their gaze on that crystal. I stared at its surface, which flashed with a soft blue glow and faced everything in silence, speculating that it might actually be a wise creature that can think and understand fear, or perhaps an ancient soul is sealed within—however, these were rely wild guesses, as there was no soul, no life, no observable thinking activity to be read. I took out Dingdang and rubbed it on the crystal; the little thing’s only comnt about this big stone was that it felt a bit cool...
So, this is absolutely not any sort of life form.
"It’s not life, but it really seems to have consciousness, escaping from the Imperial District through a series of ’unexpected events’ with nearly zero probability and even hitching a ride with Void Creatures," I gently tapped the crystal’s surface a few tis, listening to it emit pleasant ding-dong sounds, "It seems you enjoy silence, but since I was the one who brought you out from the Imperial District back then... let take you back this ti. If you don’t run away, I’ll take it as your agreent to this decision."
"You’re so boring, talking to a rock," Miss Lin imdiately turned to her habitual sharp tongue.
: "...Wasn’t it you who said this thing has spirit!"
Miss: "...Forget it, you’re not on the level for such high-IQ topics."
Lin Xue tossed her sarcasm over, paused, and then seed to rember sothing: "By the way, speaking of which, I still had a prediction back then... the lowa people discovered significant intelligence related to the Empire, and even the Fallen Apostle didn’t know about this. Do you still rember this prediction?"
"Of course," I imdiately nodded, pretending to really recall this matter, "but now it seems like your prediction was slightly off; they just stumbled upon the Heart of the World of the Fifteenth Day Zone by chance."
Miss lightly humd: "A slip, eh... the current situation is indeed a bit different from what I initially perceived, but I don’t think I’d make such a big mistake. I suspect the secret I saw about the Empire, which even the Fallen Apostle didn’t know, is related to this crystal in front of us. I just revealed its ti ahead, and the lowa didn’t have ti to uncover the secret within this crystal; they got the treasure chest yet couldn’t get inside. According to usual patterns in prophecy, if we hadn’t appeared, they’d probably discover sothing from this crystal in a short ti. Wood, I suggest you send more people to keep a tight 24-hour watch on this crystal. If my intuition is correct, it will eventually reveal sothing. The lowa can’t suddenly obtain the technology to study the crystal, so the only possibility is that the crystal will actively expose so information."
I nodded: "No need for you to say so—you look at those scientists who pried the crystal off, their eyes are all green."
Miss nodded, then rubbed her temples and sighed; I stepped forward to give her a massage, feeling sowhat pity: "A span this wide, it must be tiring, right?"
"It’s not really because of that," Lin Xue took the opportunity to lean against , boldly rubbing her cheek with mine; even soone as strong as her is soft right now: Nowadays, Miss doesn’t resist such intimate actions and doesn’t mind that Sandora and Qianqian are standing nearby. I really don’t know if this is a good sign—anyway, the two girls next to her are secretly pouting, "I’m just thinking I should still beco a bit stronger, intuition tells there is so breakthrough... that can fundantally enhance the prediction ability to a new level of quality. If that were the case, many things I see wouldn’t just be fragnted pieces and ambiguous shadows. Everything unclear could be directly seen, not cryptic or roundabout... but it’s a pity I don’t know when I can achieve this. Really envy those who focus on combat; at least they have clear thods and channels for practice, whereas the only thing I can do to enhance my ability is relying on weather forecasts worldwide... truly depressing."
"Is this... a prediction on prediction abilities?" I circled twice to sort out this relationship, feeling quite amazed, then couldn’t help but think of the Big Sister at ho, "Hey, are you going to beco a God too?"
Lin Xue lifted her head from my embrace, weakly smiling: "No idea, matters like these can’t be predicted, the scope of influence is too broad, but look—back then, I, Sister Chen Qian, and Qianqian all ventured into the Mother Nest simultaneously..."
As soon as she said this, I felt a bit uneasy; the abnormal situation with Big Sister at ho was like a thorn in my throat.
Right now, it seems there’s really no point for to personally intervene in world affairs. Everything is pretty much settled, the leftovers can be handed over to Sivis and her think tank, and the ’dragging’ work for the thirteen worlds is just a technical project which Taville and the Leaving World Garden staff can handle. As for collecting and auditing the Imperial Heritage of the lowa people here—that’s not sothing achievable in a day or two. Thinking of this, I nodded to everyone: "Let’s wrap up and go back. I feel the situation with Big Sister needs to be confird quickly; a month ago, when Bingdisi sent news, I sensed she was going slightly crazy..."
"She’s just a runaway syndro, she’s never not been crazy in her life." Sandora suddenly blurted a rare spit; Her Majesty usually doesn’t criticize, except when it cos to Bingdisi the female hooligan—these two good friends have a really good relationship.
Feeling pressed by matters at ho, we handed over the subsequent tasks, whether trivial or not, to the diligent and tirelessly working good Deputy Officer Sister Sivis—to be honest, if possible, we should really invite Deputy Officer Sister ho for dinner to show appreciation. She pretty much picked up every little matter we left behind as slackers in daily life—and then returned to the Capital World together with the second batch of troops. After completing the "special war prisoners" handover, naly the temporary placent of Tulazo and other conservative lowa people at the Supre Court Trial detention zone, we hurried back ho.
Upon teleporting to the living room, familiar ho scenes surrounded ; the house is quiet, the little babies should all be upstairs taking their nap at this ti, the quietest in the house. I glanced around, finding everything normal and couldn’t help but breathe a sigh of relief: It looks like everything is under control and the house hasn’t turned into a bomb site.
Just as I had this sigh of relief fleetingly, a pale, slender arm suddenly flopped out from beneath a bulging blanket on the sofa next to , weakly hanging down to the floor.
This arm gave everyone a big scare, then I noticed the familiar dark patterns akin to demon runes on its upper part.
Cautiously touched the arm; it was ice-cold to the touch.
Then Sandora and I simultaneously grasped the edge of the blanket, flipping it open in a swoosh, revealing Bingdisi lying beneath—Dark Divine Race, pale skin, with the rune marks left when sealing Abyss on her arms, besides Bingdisi, no one else could be like this. But why is her body so cold?
Bingdisi not only covered herself with a blanket but was also holding a cartoon hot water bottle with her other arm. Her complexion was pale... alright, Sister Bing’s complexion has always been pale, but at least she used to have a delicate white appearance, whereas now she genuinely looks like her health is worrying. Seeing this scene, I was utterly amazed: "Hey, Bingdisi, what’s going on with you? Are you playing dead to scare people?"
Sister Bing weakly waved at , her voice like a thread of breeze: "You... you still know how to co back... I’m on my period now..."
Everyone collapsed with this bombshell: "!!"
"Right after that chat with you..." Bingdisi was on the verge of tears, "Why did I have to be so mouthy... it’s been a whole month now..." (To be continued.
