Janne Hayes quickly turned her back, pretending to rub her eyes.

"How did sand get in my eyes? I can’t see anything."

Tanya Sinclair: "..."

She didn’t have ti to explain to Janne Hayes and first released Declan Pierce’s collar. She wanted to feel his pulse, but this ti Declan, who was usually very obedient, didn’t cooperate.

With her small amount of strength, Tanya couldn’t even catch hold of Declan. She tried several tis but failed.

A bit frustrated, she looked at Declan’s dazed and innocent face and thought it was hard to bla soone feverish and intoxicated.

Tanya turned to ask Janne Hayes, "Special Assistant Hayes, the bruises on Declan’s arm seem to be from a syringe."

As Declan’s private assistant, he should know all details about him.

"Oh, President Pierce was unwell earlier, so he had a tube of blood drawn for testing," Janne said.

But Tanya wasn’t that easily fooled.

"The blood was drawn from the brachial artery in Declan’s upper arm, it was arterial blood. Routine blood tests usually only require easily collectible venous blood." Tanya further inquired, "What was he feeling unwell about?"

Janne Hayes: "..."

Caught right in the middle of her expertise.

"This, Ms. Sinclair, you might need to ask the family doctor about, I’m not quite sure," Janne could only try to gloss over it.

Tanya pressed her lips together, looking at Declan on the sofa, just about to speak, the call she had been waiting for finally ca.

It was from the sanatorium, Uncle Vance was calling.

"Miss Tanya, the Lynn Family has started to move!"

Tanya reluctantly put Declan aside temporarily, "Okay, I’m coming now."

She inford Janne about Declan taking the fever dicine and took one last look at the seemingly asleep man on the sofa before hurriedly leaving.

After Tanya left, Declan on the sofa opened his eyes and sat up. His face still showed a slight redness from the alcohol, but his eyes were clear.

He walked to the window, watching Tanya drive away until the car beca a small dot, disappearing from view, then he turned and sat back down on the sofa.

Indeed, he drank quite a bit, but not enough to get him drunk.

Janne was a bit worried, "President Pierce, about your arm... Ms. Sinclair might dig deeply."

Declan picked up the water that Tanya had poured for him earlier from the coffee table, took a sip, then put the cup down and lazily leaned back, squinting at the ornate chandelier hanging from the ceiling.

After a while, Declan spoke softly, his voice overwhelmingly seductive.

"Then let her investigate thoroughly." Declan tilted his head back and closed his eyes, seeming to smile slightly.

He raised a hand to loosen his collar, muttering, "What’s wrong with letting her be interested in , feel for ?"

Janne: "..."

He inexplicably felt that President Pierce was like a male fox spirit in human form.

Declan opened his eyes and got up to head to the elevator.

"Make sure the sanatorium is closely watched, no mistakes allowed."

Tanya intended to take revenge into her own hands; he wouldn’t interfere. It’s sothing she wanted to complete herself. But he would prevent any unforeseen incidents from occurring to the best of his ability.

Behind her, he always had everything covered.

Tanya first drove back to Westgard Pharmaceuticals, and just as she hurried into the company doors, an inconspicuous gray van parked in the corner, inside, the driver had been waiting for a long ti, eyes firmly locked on Tanya.

The man imdiately dialed a phone number, "Mr. Lynn, Tanya Sinclair is back to get the dicine!"

On the other side, the families of Lynn and Hawthorne had finished their al. At the dining table, they had already set the engagent date, just two weeks away.

Afterward, the two families parted, and Cindy Lynn took Vincent Hawthorne to pick out engagent rings.

Sean Lynn got the call while sitting in the car; after listening, he couldn’t help but laugh coldly, a smug look of everything being under control.

"Got it, keep an eye on her!"

"Yes!"

After hanging up, Shelly Sullivan asked anxiously, "Honey, how about it? Did Tanya Sinclair get the developed dicine?"

The driver, who was Shelly’s relative and had been with them for a long ti, helping with many things, was definitely one of their own.

Therefore, Sean Lynn had no concerns.

"She got it, but Horace Sinclair doesn’t have the luck to use it."

"Honey, is the nurse we arranged reliable?" Shelly couldn’t help but ask.

Sean squinted his eyes coldly, "Graham Vance is a suspicious character, if the person weren’t reliable, he wouldn’t have kept her for half a year."

A year ago, Sean accidentally discovered Horace Sinclair, in a bewildered state. Before he could approach, soone had picked up Horace in a car. Sean tried to follow but was shaken off.

Later, he expended a lot of effort and resources to investigate and finally found the sanatorium, but it was impossible to get near from the outside.

So it had to be from the inside!

To ensure success, Sean Lynn carefully selected several nurses for the interview. The middle-aged nurse Sharon Lewis, who stayed, beca his spy.

Through Sharon’s eyes, he confird that Horace Sinclair had already developed dentia. He was crazy and dented, hardly any threat, so Sean didn’t care much about the old guy, letting him linger on in this world.

During this ti, Sharon had also gained Graham’s trust. She was a professional nurse, having worked in a major hospital for over twenty years, and gradually Graham allowed her to be responsible for Horace’s daily als.

Sean was wary of the people behind the sanatorium. Initially, he wanted to find out who was behind it and then let Sharon take action.

But so much ti had passed, and he still found no clues about the mastermind.

Even Graham and Mason Vance didn’t know who exactly was sustaining the entire sanatorium operation!

Now, because Tanya had developed a drug that could treat Horace, Sean couldn’t wait any longer...

He sent Sharon a ssage: [Take action.]

Inside the sanatorium.

Graham Vance routinely ca into the room to check on Old Master Sinclair. His condition was worsening. At that mont, Horace sat in a chair, staring out the window.

He had grown thinner, his back hunched, forming the shape of a big shrimp.

Graham tried to speak with Old Master Sinclair, but the old master showed no response.

Graham sighed.

Just then, Sharon Lewis ca in as usual, carrying dinner.

"Director, it’s ti for dinner for Old Master Sinclair."

Graham nodded.

Since Horace ate very little, sotis supplents were added to the als or soup to maintain body functions.

Watching Graham from the corner of her eye and seizing a mont of inattention, Sharon quickly slipped two deadly poison pills into the soup and stirred them.

"Nurse Lewis, why is your hand trembling?" Graham noticed sothing strange and asked with concern, "Are you feeling unwell? Why are you sweating so much?"

Sharon forced a smile, "No worries, Director, I might just be a bit tired."

At his remark, Graham nodded. He asked, "Nurse Lewis, you’ve been here for half a year now; it might be ti for a vacation. You’ve taken care of Old Master Sinclair for so long without resting or going ho, always being diligent."

Sharon carried the soup toward the dazed old master, saying, "Director, you’re too kind. My husband’s been dead early from a car accident, and my son is studying out of town, I don’t need a holiday."

anwhile, she reached Old Master Sinclair, and Graham kept a close watch on her, moving closer to the old master as well.

"Nurse Lewis. How do you find working here?"

"Pretty good." Sharon muttered, scooping up a spoonful of soup, ready to feed the old master, but Graham suddenly grabbed her wrist, causing the spoon to shake, spilling the soup.

Sharon was startled, looking up to et Graham’s eyes, which turned from gentle to fierce and angry, making her panic.

"Director..." She stamred, trembling with guilt.

Graham’s tone was harsh, "When we’ve treated you well here, how could you do such a thing as trying to poison Old Master Sinclair? Isn’t your conscience bothered?!"
