"Who did you say?" Vincent Hawthorne frowned, his words cutting coldly.

It wasn’t that he didn’t hear clearly; he simply refused to believe.

Zane Shaw, who is he?

The Zenith Group’s legal team is renowned in the circles, jokingly called ’Northern Invincible,’ with any lawyer capable of standing tall independently.

And Zane Shaw, he’s the one who once thrashed the entire Zenith Group’s legal team, thirty-so lawyers together.

That lawsuit wasn’t just a painful loss; it was disgraceful.

Besides, Zane Shaw is notoriously expensive, with a consultation fee reaching fifty thousand an hour. With just that ager change in Tanya’s pocket, how could she possibly afford Zane Shaw?

But Vincent imdiately rembered he had given her a card with sixty million!

Vincent’s hand pressed against the office desk, his knuckles turned white.

This woman... truly dares to spend his money to divorce him!

"President Hawthorne, it’s Zane Shaw from Shaw Law Firm, Barrister Shaw." Jonah Rivers confird once again.

Vincent’s tight grip slowly released.

Restraining his emotions, he said in a deep voice: "I understand, have him wait in the conference room next door."

"Yes." Jonah turned to accommodate but was stopped by Vincent.

"Special Assistant Rivers." Vincent rested both hands on the table, lifting his eyes heavily to look at him, with a trace of warning in his usually calm tone, "My wife has been throwing tantrums with lately, as for Zane Shaw, he’s probably just a facade she hired. You’ve been with the company for years. Tanya is obsessed with and dependent on ... I suppose I don’t need to explain further, do I?"

Jonah, having held the position of special assistant for so long, naturally understood Vincent’s aning.

"Rest assured, President Hawthorne, I won’t utter a word more than necessary."

Vincent reluctantly nodded.

Once Jonah left, he imdiately pulled out his phone and called the bank, instructing them to freeze Tanya’s card he gave her!

"... Yes, this card was accidentally lost," Vincent paused, slipping one hand into his pocket, "Oh, and my wife Tanya’s personal bank card was lost too, please freeze them together!"

He knows Tanya only has two cards, one he gave her, an attached card, which she rarely uses.

She always said her money was enough.

Tanya’s own card, where her savings of the years are stored. Vincent had unintentionally seen the balance, barely over a million, just pocket change for Yvonne to buy two bags.

Vincent never gave it a second thought.

Now it seems, Tanya’s deep-rooted frugality will never change!

A re million, surprisingly, beca her courage to leave him!

Ha.

A faint, cold chuckle escaped Vincent’s throat.

Since that’s the case, he would sever all her retreat, rendering her forced to co back and apologize!

"Alright Mr. Hawthorne, Mrs. Hawthorne’s bank card is frozen and cannot be used from now on."

Vincent smiled satisfiedly, "Thank you."

With all of Tanya’s funds frozen, Vincent calmly walked into the eting room.

Zane Shaw was already sitting there, growing a bit impatient.

A coffee the secretary brought served beside him, untouched.

"Mr. Hawthorne." Zane Shaw watched Vincent approach, nodding briefly.

He didn’t rise to greet or show intent to shake hands with Vincent, just opened the divorce agreent he’d brought and pushed it in front of Vincent.

"Mr. Hawthorne, this is the divorce agreent Ms. Sinclair has reviewed and confird, you can take a look. If there are objections, you can raise them, if you require professional oversight, you can have your trusted lawyer co and take a look." Zane Shaw glanced at his watch, "I have two more hours, and can go through the contract with you."

Vincent picked up the divorce agreent and scanned it roughly, sneering.

"Three villas, one flat, a mall, and ten shops, along with five percent of the group’s shares." He lifted his eyelids, staring at Zane Shaw, "Is this what Tanya asked you to get from ?"

He thought Tanya was so celestial maiden who viewed wealth as dirt, but in the end, she still wanted money.

Zane Shaw placed his hands on the table, fingers interlaced, calmly observing Vincent across, correcting him, "It’s not what Ms. Sinclair wants, it’s what you should give."

Vincent’s face changed slightly, staring at him, "What does that an?"

Zane Shaw calmly said, "I believe, Mr. Hawthorne, you’re quite aware of this, the value Ms. Sinclair contributed to Zenith Group and to you after marriage probably exceeds these tenfold, if not more?"

As a professional lawyer, in the past few days, Zane Shaw had thoroughly understood the approximate state of Tanya and Vincent’s marriage.

Frankly, during his tenure as a divorce lawyer, he’s seen quite a few wealthy n guarding against their wives like thieves, but to reach Vincent’s level of doggedness, was indeed unique.

Not giving a penny of property but expecting to freeload Tanya’s work value, her reproductive value.

Even vampires aren’t this ruthless.

Vincent suddenly let out a cold laugh.

"Barrister Shaw, I don’t know how much commission Tanya promised you, but I assure you, you won’t get a single penny." With that, Vincent picked up the divorce agreent before him and tore it to shreds in front of Zane Shaw!

Throwing it to the sky, the white paper fluttered down like snow, yet it couldn’t be as cold as Vincent Hawthorne’s seemingly gentle but secretly nacing gaze.

"Also, please help convey to my dear Mrs. Hawthorne that since she wants the house and money, she should stop pretending to be so saint who doesn’t eat common food in front of ! As for the divorce..." He sneered, "Well, let her wait patiently. There will naturally be a day I grow tired of her and kick her out!"

Having said this, Vincent Hawthorne stood up and left, pausing slightly at the door.

"Lawyer Shaw, I hope this is the last ti I see you appearing as my wife’s proxy lawyer." He slowly turned his face, reminding with a cold smile, "Aris is not like that small place Salton; it’s crowded, and accidents happen often. Lawyer Shaw, please stay safe."

Zane Shaw raised his hand to adjust the glasses on his nose.

Salton is his hotown, and he walked out from there.

After Vincent Hawthorne left, Zane Shaw leisurely took out the voice recorder from his pocket.

Of all people to threaten, he chose to threaten a lawyer specializing in criminal law...

Zane Shaw walked to the floor-to-ceiling window, calmly dialing a string of numbers.

"President Pierce, I’ve t with Vincent Hawthorne. It’s pretty much as I expected..."

...

Vincent Hawthorne strode into the office, forcefully yanked off his tie, his handso face cold enough to drop ice.

Father Hawthorne’s call ca through again at this mont.

"Has that contract from Westgard Pharmaceuticals been delivered?" Father Hawthorne asked, his tone unfriendly.

"...Almost there." Vincent Hawthorne replied while nervously texting Cindy Lynn.

But Cindy Lynn, who usually replied to his ssages instantly, was apparently busy with sothing this ti and hadn’t responded yet.

Father Hawthorne said gravely on the other end of the line: "I don’t know which competitor has acted, but suddenly half of the professional hired comnters I arranged to speak for you online have been cleared and banned! The popularity of that video of you hitting soone has been stirred up to the top searches again! I’m trying to suppress it for you, but you need to hurry up! If it affects the company’s stock, I won’t be able to explain to the board of supervisors!"

"Don’t worry, Dad, I’ll handle it."

After hanging up, Vincent Hawthorne quickly dialed Cindy Lynn, but unexpectedly, the call was disconnected!

Yet Cindy Lynn’s ssage imdiately ca in: [Vincent, wait for a mont. I’ll co find you right away.]

At that mont, Cindy was sitting in a café near the Zenith Group.

After replying to the ssage, she placed her phone face down on the table.

"Senior, over here!" Cindy Lynn saw Julian Poole’s silhouette pushing through the door and imdiately waved to him.

Julian Poole locked onto her location, walked over, pulled out the chair, and sat across from Cindy Lynn.

"Senior, I ordered the Italian latte you used to like." Cindy Lynn said sweetly, suddenly noticing a bit of white fluff on Julian’s hair. She reached out to take it off, "You have sothing stuck here, Senior."

But Julian Poole grasped her wrist through his clothing, pushing her hand away.

"You cried on the phone asking to co over, what’s the matter?"

He had already run to three places this morning, bringing Janne Hayes to the hospital, only for her to suddenly get better.

Julian Poole was rendered speechless.

Yet he couldn’t say much, as acute heart conditions can indeed be life-threatening...

He drove straight from the hospital to et Cindy Lynn.

Cindy Lynn keenly noticed Julian Poole’s attitude toward her was a bit off, and further examined the injury at the corner of his mouth.

On the surface, Cindy Lynn remained calm, but her mind was racing, rembering the video of Vincent Hawthorne fighting in a bar last night. The man being hit in the video had a physique very similar to Julian Poole!

Could it be...

Cindy Lynn’s heart skipped a beat.

She instinctively guessed the red-dressed woman both Julian Poole and Vincent Hawthorne were vying over!

--That was Tanya Sinclair!

So Julian already knows that Tanya Sinclair is Vincent Hawthorne’s wife, and the manager of the R&D departnt!

At this mont, Cindy Lynn wished she could tear Tanya Sinclair apart!

Back when The Poole Family suddenly went bankrupt overnight and everyone scattered, her mother Shelly Sullivan had the foresight to discern that Julian Poole might beco successful soday.

That’s why she intentionally arranged for Cindy Lynn to rush to The Poole Family’s parents’ wake on a rainy night to give Julian money!

And it had to be a piggybank that looked like it was used for a long ti.

Only then would Cindy Lynn seem genuinely kind-hearted and leave a deep impression on Julian Poole.

It’s easy to praise a successful person, but helping during hardships makes one an unforgettable ’moonlit mory’ in a young person’s heart!

Even if Julian Poole didn’t succeed in the future, The Lynn Family wouldn’t lose a penny.

Indeed, Shelly Sullivan was farsighted, Julian Poole did achieve great success, and Cindy Lynn beca his ’moonlit mory’.

But she never expected Tanya Sinclair to interrupt!

Cindy Lynn was filled with wrath.

She wondered when Tanya, that shaless woman, started flirting with Julian Poole, and how she weighed heavier in his heart than herself!
