The whole world was focused on the fiery progress of the Atlanta Olympics.

In the United States, however, a large number of people were paying attention to a legislative proposal.

Because the proposal concerning literature was just too interesting.

If it was dramatic that in 1940 the US Senate and House of Representatives overwhelmingly voted against entering World War II, only to unanimously and swiftly pass the decision to join the war a year after the Pearl Harbor incident,

then the proposal being unanimously passed by the House and then unanimously rejected by the Senate in just half a month’s ti made it all feel like watching a fantasy film.

In the western United States, in the office of the Governor of Texas.

Little Bush watched the television, sighing with a hint of regret.

It seed that Viacom Group and the Democrat Party had chosen to back down and not stubbornly push through the proposal.

"Alas," the Governor of Texas, who had already forged relationships with Silicon Valley tycoons and tasted the fruits of success, shook his head helplessly.

"Being unable to sue in the Supre Court also ans we can’t further ingratiate ourselves."

Of course, he wasn’t exactly a puritan.

The thought of backstabbing and stopping the proposal from being rejected had crossed his mind more than once.

But the Senate was different from the House. Its votes were mostly a matter of public record.

Such maneuvering would quickly be discovered by that best-selling author.

And...

Bush looked up, watching the incumbent President and the First Lady recalling on a political talk show how they had attended a rally with Princess Diana, Wang Jian, and others.

Hillary, the woman who had almost joined the Republican Party with him before jumping to the Democrat Party.

She was vividly recalling how deep her personal relationship with Wang Jian was.

"It’s very regrettable that he couldn’t accept the invitation to Washington."

"But compared to social events, artists are more passionate about creation, which is completely understandable."

"Shit! This damn politician!"

Little Bush cursed under his breath and felt sothing was amiss.

A mont later, he shook his head and picked up the telephone on his desk.

"Larry, we need to arrange for Wang’s visit to the Vatican."

After receiving a positive response, the Governor of Texas added another sentence.

"Make sure to emphasize to those cardinals that Wang turned down the invitation from the President of the world’s most powerful country to go to the Vatican specifically."

"We hope they will give it the attention it deserves."

After hanging up the phone, he sipped his coffee.

"If European dia were as good at seizing news hotspots as Arican dia,"

"then, Ms. Hillary, your underwear might just be revealed!"

...

anwhile, in the website office in Flushing, everything was in complete disarray.

Programrs were making the final adjustnts to the website that was about to go live again.

"The front end and the recharge system are the most important. There must be no bugs!" Chen Shijun, the technical lead, was sternly reproaching his subordinates.

"Can you keep it down a little!" Tom, the head of the editorial departnt, also shouted.

"We’re notifying the authors that they can resu updating!"

"It’s not us who are making the most noise!" Chen Shijun pointed to the CEO’s office. "Go tell them!"

Tom looked up, his expression sour.

These reporters were too crazy. He had just worked extrely hard to redirect them to Wang Jian.

He exchanged a glance with Chen Shijun, and they both went back to work without another word.

"Mr. Wang, what is your view on the Senate’s speedy rejection of the proposal?"

"Do you have a close personal friendship with the First Lady, Hillary?"

Wang Jian looked at the fearso reporters, feeling like they wanted to stab him to death with their microphones.

While he replied with clichés as part of a routine procedure, he couldn’t help but lant, "Fuck! It’s really not easy being a public figure."

After about half an hour, the reporters finally left "satisfied" under the escort of the security guards.

Wang Jian looked at the piles of docunts on his desk and let out a long sigh.

"This life is impossible to live!"

First was the ssage from HBO about the last installnt of the "Prison Break" spin-off series.

Okay, actually, this TV show had nothing to do with a prison anymore and leaned more towards the glamor of fashion circles and the battles between divas.

"Versace, Victoria’s Secret?" He looked at the sponsorship amount and nodded in approval.

"These luxury brands really are willing to spend money on sponsorships!"

But when Wang Jian flipped to the second page, his expression fell.

He had agreed to make a cao just to get so information from NBC.

But was Jenny Versace, this fashion mogul, going to take the stage herself for product promotion?

"He seems to be gay? And... in the first episode, he’s going to act alongside ?"

Wang Jian rembered the rumors about the other’s preference for beautiful boys and looked at himself in the mirror.

"Alas, being too handso sure brings a sense of crisis!"

Saying this, he signed his na and continued to the next docunt.

Due to this incident, Twitter users outnumbered those on his website for the first ti.

And this social tool was now approaching a market value of nearly a billion US Dollars.

But until the lock-up period ended, this money was just sothing to look at.

Wang Jian continued to flip through docunts, finding Woody Allen’s authorization request.

The story from yesterday was worth 1.2 million US Dollars, along with the right to first directorial and screenplay credit.

"Midnight in Paris?" Wang Jian paused for a mont, then burst into laughter.

"If it were up to to na it, it would definitely be ’Writing Novels in France.’"

He set the authorization letter aside, planning to sign it after the legal departnt had checked it thoroughly.

After dealing with all the chaotic paperwork, a whole hour had passed.

Wang Jian stretched and opened Twitter.

"The US governnt has compromised, we have won!"

"I can finally read novels again, I’ve been so bored lately I’ve resorted to reading comics."

"I used to find comics quite interesting, why do I find them so unappealing now?"

"Sa here, after reading ’King Arthur,’ I really want to see ’X-n’ take a stroll around Gotham City!"

"@Wang, when are you updating ’King Arthur’? We are ready to run naked, not kidding!"

Wang Jian’s mouth twitched slightly as he read this.

"What do you do when your readers are too proactive? Waiting online, quite urgent."

His novel was about to approach a major climax, King Arthur’s tech legion was about to clash with the Church directly.

"Catholic..." Wang Jian thought for a mont and prepared to pick up the phone.

At that mont, Tom burst into the office, incredulous.

"Wang, the cardinal from the Vatican..."

"He, he has sent you an invitation!"
