On Sunset Boulevard in Los Angeles, a car was speeding along.

Liu Yuling sat bewildered in the backseat, looking at the person next to her.

Her agent also represented stars like Drew Barrymore and Caron Diaz, and was incredibly busy every day.

Her everyday affairs were mostly handled by another junior agent.

But today, why had this big shot shown up at her apartnt door?

"Could it be that I’ve beco an A-list star?"

She began to strain her mory about the roles she had recently played.

The third supporting actress, the second supporting actress...

It was totally impossible!

"Lucy," the agent said seriously as he looked at her, "Universal, which just changed ownership, has invited you to audition."

"This is the first collaboration between CAA and them."

They specifically invited her?

Liu Yuling rolled her eyes slightly, "Which movie is it this ti that needs an exotic supporting role?"

Honestly, since her arrival in Hollywood, she had felt the differentiated treatnt.

Because of actors like Bruce Lee and Jackie Chan, Chinese male actors at least had the outlet of action films.

But Chinese female actors could only blend into various crews as exotic actors.

Liu Yuling had also once deeply resented this state of affairs, so she set off for Hong Kong, where Chinese films were most developed, in search of opportunities.

Yet unexpectedly, the people there did not care about her looks or acting skills, but heavily promoted her Hollywood experience.

"Since you are so superstitious about Hollywood and regard it as the ultimate goal, then I’ll go back there and carve out a niche for myself."

With this thought, Liu Yuling returned to Hollywood.

But reality told her that so-called feminism and equality advocated by Hollywood had nothing to do with the Chinese.

She still had to move from one production team to another, taking on roles as an exotic actor.

As Liu Yuling pondered, the car had already arrived at Universal’s office building.

The agent scrutinized her seriously, then nodded.

"Is it really necessary to make such a fuss over a re exotic supporting role?" Liu Yuling, sowhat amused and exasperated, opened the car door and stepped out.

But the scene she saw made her freeze on the spot.

This wasn’t an audition for a Chinese exotic actor?

Why were there so many white people?

And, moreover, they were all n?

"This is for you." A staff mber ca over and handed Liu Yuling the script for the audition.

She flipped through the script and found that the role she was to portray involved taking a woman shopping in a luxury store.

"Are they asking to play a Chinese lesbian?"

Liu Yuling thought about the reports on Hua Country and packed up her indifferent attitude, beginning to prepare earnestly.

Many unethical dia propagated that in Hua Country, homosexuality was t with judgnt and punitive asures.

"Even if the part isn’t major, I can use the film to tell so people that Hua Country and the Chinese aren’t so conservative and oppressive after all!"

Just then, a white man cursing stord out of the audition room.

"Corruption, it’s definitely rigged!"

"I was only auditioning for two minutes before I got passed!"

Rigged?

Liu Yuling smirked, "Rigging is still better than the casting couch!"

"At many movie auditions, people would take one look at my skin color and directly pass ."

However, people kept coming out quickly!

"The lead role must have already been decided!"

"It must be just a formality!"

Watching the actors rapidly co and go, and seeing her agent’s expectant eyes, Liu Yuling actually began to feel a bit nervous.

"Lucy Liu," a crew mber shouted her na loudly.

"Use the introduction style you usually practice, a big shot likes that!" the agent quickly patted Liu Yuling’s shoulder, advising her.

Habit, big shot likes?

She walked into the audition room slightly dazed.

But soon, Liu Yuling saw the real big shot, Francis Coppola.

The great director was talking and laughing across from a girl with an Asian.

Liu Yuling felt her hands and feet were a bit cold and began to tremble uncontrollably.

"Introduce yourself," the young Asian casually ordered.

Who is this? Are there such young Asians in Hollywood who hold high positions?

"I am Lucy Liu," she added habitually, "my Chinese na is Liu Yuling."

At that mont, Liu Yuling noticed the young Asian looking at her with admiration.

"Go change into n’s clothing," he said with a smile, waving his hand and directing the staff.

"So, this is a ’T’!" she concluded, starting to adjust her ntal state.

"What’s wrong with being a lesbian? I’m rich," Liu Yuling hypnotized herself, "naturally, I can have the girls you guys secretly admire!"

Ah, I’m going...

Wang Jian watched this thin but confident Asian woman a bit dazed.

You know, this feeling is quite right!

"I’m Too Rich," isn’t this the type of "show off and slap the face" feeling we want?

"If it weren’t for being female, reducing the audience’s imrsion in passionate scenes, she might have really succeeded!"

Wang Jian glanced at the great director, Francis Coppola.

If anyone could oppose his decision, it would definitely be this well-known director.

Yet unexpectedly, Francis smiled and nodded.

In fact, having imrsed himself in Hollywood for many years, he was very opposed to his daughter also entering this murky quagmire.

But not letting his daughter fail once ant she would never be content.

The only one on the scene hoping for success, Sofia, raised a doubt, "Casting her as the male lead, would that really draw enough box office appeal?"

"That also depends on the director’s filming skills," Francis replied with a smile. "When filming ’The Godfather,’ Al Pacino was just a newcor too."

The male lead?

Hearing this, Liu Yuling was completely stunned.

She was actually going to play the male lead in a movie directed by a great director?

Sofia looked at the two n next to her, frowning.

"Okay, you can go out now."

"How is it?" Seeing Liu Yuling, the agent imdiately ca over and asked anxiously.

"Let go back and wait for the news," Liu Yuling said blankly, "To play the male lead?"

"Wait for the news?" The agent pondered for a mont, "Just sit here and wait a bit."

She took out her phone and contacted soone.

"Lcuy, in a bit co with to et that bigwig who supports you!"

Support for herself?

Liu Yuling rembered her past, looked at the script again, and bit her lip, making up her mind.

Soon, the people in the audition room walked out laughing and chatting.

"Mr. Wang, Lcuy would like to invite you to dinner," the agent said, pulling Liu Yuling up to Wang Jian.

Uh...

Wang Jian looked at this most famous Chinese woman in Hollywood, feeling a bit embarrassed.

Probably soon she’d be asked to accept a terrible film...

"No need for dinner, just focus on honing your acting skills," Wang Jian pondered for a mont, deciding to reveal the news, "You can go ho and wait for the male lead’s script."

Even a bad film can reveal acting skills...

"The male lead, it’s mine? And I don’t have to give anything?"

Liu Yuling looked at Wang Jian, her fondness for him greatly increased.

Such a young and powerful Asian, truly an ideal dating prospect!

But by the ti she regained her senses, she saw him walking away.

"Lucy, this is a rare opportunity, you must seize it!" the agent exclaid loudly.

Just then, an actor who had witnessed the entire scene approached.

He loudly berated Liu Yuling, "You won because of your skin color, not your acting!"

"Ignore him!" the agent pushed him away and led Liu Yuling into the car.

"No matter the reason, this is a rare opportunity, Lucy, don’t be affected."

"It’s okay." Liu Yuling felt as if today’s events were all a dream.

"Chosen because of skin color, race?" she touched her face and murmured to herself.

"Is this what Jewish people feel like?"
