At one o’clock in the afternoon, downstairs at the website’s office building.
Two black sedans slowly ca to a stop, then Tom got out of the car first.
"Wang, these two gentlen are the responsible officers from ATT in New York and representatives from Nokia," said Tom, introducing a tall and a short Caucasian man to Wang Jian.
"This gentleman here is the best-selling author and the biggest shareholder of our website, Wang Jian."
"Welco gentlen, to visit our humble website," Wang Jian stepped forward to shake hands with the two n.
"Mr. Wang is indeed a young and talented individual," the representative from ATT complinted with a businessman’s flattery.
In stark contrast was the representative from Nokia, a bit of a wooden programr’s deanor.
As two groups of business elites in suits and leather shoes were politely exchanging pleasantries,
suddenly, there ca a woman’s loud scream from the streets of Flushing.
"Go!"
Subsequently, Wang Jian, Lehman, and the others saw a group of won running towards them at breakneck speed.
Even crazier, these won, like Spanish bulls running wild, were stripping off their clothes as they ran.
"Aiyo, I’m gone!" Wang Jian exclaid in Mandarin, startled by the sight.
Lehman, sensing trouble, quickly hid behind Wang Jian.
The representative from ATT sat down on the ground, his toupee falling off.
The representative from Nokia, with the speed faster than lightning, dove back into the car.
As the flashlights kept going off, those won also ran up to Wang Jian and his group.
"Anne Boleyn!" In unison, the stark-naked won shouted.
The woman leading the pack then grabbed Wang Jian’s hand.
"Wang, you update, we streak," she exclaid loudly: "We won keep our word just like n do!"
However, at this mont, Wang Jian, surrounded and gawked at by dozens of naked won and having his hand grabbed, had his brain turned into total mush.
Damn, surrounded by naked won, where should his eyes even look?
Online and waiting, really freaking urgent!
Under the astonished gazes of the surrounding people and the incessantly flashing photographers, the lead woman displayed the decisiveness of a strong woman.
"Alright, sisters, let’s roll out!"
But those behind her seed to be a bit reluctant.
"Ah, that’s my underwear!"
"Who are you kidding, do you think your chest is that big?"
By then, Lehman had stepped out from behind Wang Jian.
Dorsey and the representative from Nokia stared intently ahead, murmuring softly, "If I had not studied computer science and had switched to literature instead..."
Only the representative from ATT seed a bit embarrassed, as he was taking the toupee from Tom and desperately readjusting it atop his head.
Roughly ten minutes later, the won gradually dispersed.
And the n, who were supposed to be engaged in business negotiations, fell into a bizarre silence.
"What on earth just happened?" Lehman whispered in Wang Jian’s ear.
"I really have no idea!" Wang Jian said, looking at the won laughing and walking away in the distance, "All this happened so suddenly!"
"Holy shit, following you, I’ve really seen all sorts of crazy shit," Lehman muttered under his breath.
Wang Jian didn’t answer, just vigorously shook his head, trying to quickly shake off the scene he’d just witnessed.
Then he noticed that there was still a large crowd around, playing the role of onlookers.
"Heh heh," Wang Jian’s face morphed into a stiff smile, "Gentlen, shall we go inside first?"
ATT’s representative, looking a bit embarrassed, kept touching the top of his head and repeatedly agreed.
anwhile, Nokia’s representative seed entranced, gazing into the distance and murmuring to himself,
"Is this the United States? I feel like my Arican dream has already co true..."
Wang Jian’s mouth twitched upon hearing this, and his facial expression almost collapsed.
"Gentlen, shall we go inside?" he raised his voice slightly, loudly reminding them.
Nokia’s representative, appearing confused, turned and looked at Wang Jian.
Then, as if awakening from a great dream, "Oh, oh. Enter the building, enter the building!"
And so, the group left the area in a sowhat disorderly fashion.
Quietly, Wang Jian instructed Tom, "Find a few people and figure out what exactly is going on."
Monts later, everyone arrived at the floor where the website was located and began their so-called tour.
However, after the recent incident, everyone was clearly out of sorts.
Therefore, the already insignificant "learning experience," "technical exchange," and so on were concluded hastily.
Soon, everyone entered the eting room.
The real at of the matter that both parties were genuinely interested in was officially unveiled.
Representatives from ATT and Nokia sat on one side of the room, carefully examining the website’s user data.
Whereas Wang Jian and Dorsey also held the world’s first internet-capable phone, a gift from Nokia, constantly fiddling with it.
"Mr. Wang, I believe that our two sides have a strong basis for cooperation," Nokia’s representative initiated.
"We can provide a new promotional channel for your website, while you can demonstrate the superiority of the 2G network with our new phone."
"I think Nokia Company has made a mistake," Wang Jian put down the phone, looking directly at the other party.
"Our website is different from others; we didn’t go public relying on user numbers, only to scoop up capital from the market."
"Our site has a clear profit model, and that is paid content."
"But can Nokia’s new phone directly handle paid readings?" Wang Jian stared aningfully at the representative.
"I think it would be difficult for your company to get companies like Citibank or VISA to enable mobile online paynts, wouldn’t it?"
"But won’t users read the free part on their mobile phones and then read the paid content on their computers?" the Nokia representative argued.
"Sorry." Wang Jian picked up his own phone again and put it on the table for comparison with Nokia’s new phone.
"The price of this phone must be much higher than current phones, right?"
"So, who would buy it? Probably so busy business executives."
"Then, do you think many of those people have the ti to read lengthy novels?"
"But 2G is the future trend, and phones with internet capability will beco cheaper," the Nokia representative tried to convince Wang Jian with the prospect of technological advancent.
"Yes, I can’t deny that’s the general trend," Wang Jian nodded and took a docunt from an assistant behind him.
"But why wouldn’t we choose Motorola? As the dominant force in the mobile phone industry, their 2G phone developnt is just a bit behind Nokia’s."
At that mont, ATT’s representative chuckled, interrupting the conversation.
"The arrogant Motorola wouldn’t look twice at your little website; they’re so desperate to break free from carriers that they’ve gone crazy with so ’Iridium’ project."
Lehman coughed softly, "Indeed, Motorola even ca to Goldman Sachs seeking investnt."
"Just don’t know whether Motorola will accept investors’ advice."
"I think they probably will."
