To level up quickly, one had to monopolize the monsters.

After clearing out the surrounding guild mbers, Jiang Chen was the only person left. There were a total of six respawn points, all within a hundred ters.

Every ten minutes, a Demonic Purple Tin Snake would respawn. With six spawn points, this ant six snakes every ten minutes, each yielding 520 experience points. This amounted to 3,120 experience points in ten minutes, or 18,000 experience points per hour.

It was enough for Jiang Chen to level up.

Jiang Chen activated the Heavenly Ruler Dragon Mode, and three hundred flying swords circled beside him. As soon as a Demonic Purple Tin Snake respawned, it was instantly slain by Jiang Chen.

He simply sat on the ground, waiting for the Demonic Purple Tin Snakes to respawn.

...

A few hours later, Jiang Chen reached Level 22. At this rate, he could level up in a day. He estimated that if he stayed here for ten days to half a month, he could reach Level 30, at which point he would be able to wear the Diamond Suit.

...

「Eilrus Town.」

"Damn it, who is this guy? Blatantly snatching our farming spot!"

"What can we do? Hausman from the Black Stone Guild was killed instantly by One Sword. He’s extrely powerful. No one below the First-stage can match him, unless soone above the First-stage intervenes."

"With our six guilds combined, surely we don’t fear that kid!"

"I think this person looks like the Black-robed man."

"The Black-robed man?"

"Who else could it be but the Black-robed man? The one who destroyed the Black Tiger Guild!"

Everyone gasped.

Black hair, wielding a Thin Sword, wearing a black robe – isn’t that the Devil himself! How could it be him?

...

Jiang Chen returned to his room in Eilrus Town and lay down on his bed to rest. Just as he settled, he received a ssage from Black Phoenix.

"Are you there?"

"Yes."

"The equipnt you need, the King’s Crown Boots, I’ve found them. When should we trade?"

Jiang Chen was startled. She found the King’s Crown Boots, part of the Diamond Suit, so quickly?

"We can trade imdiately."

"Good. Co to my room, number 301."

Jiang Chen tidied himself up and went to room 301. Inside, he saw Black Phoenix and Ruo Li. There was also a warrior present, clad in a set of Heavy Armor and carrying a giant sword on his back.

Black Phoenix took out the King’s Crown Boots from her Space.

[King’s Combat Boot (Diamond)]

[Level: 30]

[Wearable by: Magician, Archer, Swordsman]

[Physical Defense Power: 90-110]

[Magic Defense Power: 90-110]

[Constitution 20]

[Spirit 20]

Indeed, it was one of the six pieces of the set. Jiang Chen also took out the King’s Crown Heavy Armor and placed it on the bed. Black Phoenix nodded. "This armor piece is very important to . Now I’m just one piece away from completing the Diamond Suit."

Jiang Chen put the King’s Combat Boots into his Space.

The trade was completed.

Jiang Chen turned to leave.

"Wait."

Jiang Chen turned back. "Is there sothing else?"

"I want to invite you to join the Black Dragon Legion."

Jiang Chen was taken aback. "You’re with the Black Dragon Legion?"

Ruo Li smiled. "You didn’t just find out now, did you? The leader of the number one ranked Black Dragon Legion at Shenlong Academy is Black Phoenix’s older brother. Impressive, right?"

Black Dragon, Black Phoenix? They really are sisters!

However, I have no intention of joining the Black Dragon Legion. Isn’t it good enough to level up by fighting monsters alone? My own experience gain isn’t even sufficient for myself; sharing it with others would be foolish!

Jiang Chen flatly refused, "Not interested."

Ruo Li smiled. "Are you worried about sharing experience with others in a team? You don’t have to worry about that at all. If you want to grind solo, just grind solo. Nobody will force you."

"Moreover, there are many benefits to joining a legion. For example, if you need a Level 30 Diamond Suit, the legion can help you find it quickly, and you can gather a complete set in no ti. It would take much longer if you were to collect it on your own."

"Those King’s Combat Boots you were just looking at are a piece of equipnt the legion obtained so ti ago and had stored in the warehouse."

"Joining a legion doesn’t just offer that; it also provides a boost to certain Attribute Values."

The so-called Attribute Value upgrade involved enhancing the Four-dinsional Attributes. The conditions for earning military rits were stringent: the Divine Gods would issue missions, which the legions would undertake. Successful completion would grant a certain amount of military rits.

Ruo Li said with a laugh, "Let show you my legion’s attributes."

Ruo Li displayed her Legion Badge.

First-stage: Constitution 30, Strength 30, Spirit 30, Agility 5

Jiang Chen looked at these attributes. They added up to an increase of 65 points across the Four Dinsions. For ordinary people, these legion attributes were fantastic.

But to , these attributes aren’t of much value.

Jiang Chen laughed. "I’m still not interested. If there’s nothing else, I’ll be taking my leave."

"Actually, I do have sothing to discuss with you!"

Jiang Chen found a chair and sat down. "What is it?"

"Do you know about the Alliance Battlefield?"

Jiang Chen nodded; he knew about this. The entire world was divided into Five Alliances: the Dragon Zone Union, the Sakura Alliance, the i Zone’s Union, the Han Union, and the Nordic European Union.

For the Alliance Competition, each of the five regions would select outstanding individuals to join the battlefield, where alliances would enter a special war zone to compete against each other. Each alliance had a city to defend and would attempt to seize the cities of other alliances. The alliance that succeeded in doing so would be declared the winner.

The Divine Gods would grant certain rewards, which might be equipnt, unique Skill Books, or military rits.

Participants in the Alliance Battlefield wouldn’t truly die. If killed, they would be imdiately teleported out, and their equipnt wouldn’t drop. It was simply a competition between alliances.

However, to enter the Alliance Competition, participants had to be under Level 50, must not have reached the First-stage in their profession, and had to still be university students. The competition was held once every three years, and it was scheduled for this year. Entry required joining a legion.

Black Phoenix spoke bluntly, "You’re very strong. I want you to join the Black Dragon Legion to prepare for the Alliance Competition. There are legion rewards as well as individual rewards in the competition."

"The legion rewards are essentially military rits, while individual rewards include equipnt and Skill Books. Whoever wins first place in the competition can obtain a unique Skill Book, or even unique equipnt."

Generous rewards, unique Skill Books, unique equipnt... this could work! But the only condition is joining a legion.

Jiang Chen thought of Hanna. No wonder she approached back then. She probably had the sa idea: to prepare for the Alliance Competition.

Ruo Li said with a laugh, "Black Phoenix’s Level 30 Diamond Suit is now complete. She will be this term’s Alliance Legion Leader, leading the Dragon Zone in the Alliance Competition."

Jiang Chen asked, "And what about her brother, Black Dragon?"

Ruo Li replied, "Her brother, Black Dragon, advanced to the First-stage long ago, so he’s not eligible to participate. Her brother participated in the last Alliance Competition; this ti, it’s his sister."

Jiang Chen pondered. Although I don’t want to join a legion, I’m very tempted by the rewards, especially the Skill Books and equipnt. What if the equipnt is above Diamond-grade?

Jiang Chen said, "I’m interested in the Alliance Competition, but I don’t want to join a legion."

Black Phoenix said, "I’ll reserve a spot for you. When the Alliance Competition starts, you can join the Black Dragon Legion. After the competition ends, you can leave the Black Dragon Legion. How about that?"

Jiang Chen nodded. "Okay."

A warrior beside them laughed. "You’re Jiang Chen, right? As soon as I got back to Shenlong Academy, I heard about your reputation. You’re quite sothing, daring to tease Light Legion Leader Hanna."

Jiang Chen chuckled.

Ruo Li leaned in close to Jiang Chen’s ear and quietly asked, "How did you tease her? She’s an Angel, you know!"

"That’s a secret."

"Didn’t you say you were very innocent? How can you tease others?"

"Being innocent and teasing others are two different things, okay?"

Ruo Li rolled her eyes. "Damn, you actually have a point!"
