Are you my Covenant Beast, or are you my master?! I’m raising you just so I can ride on your back, aren’t I? Jiang Chen grumbled internally. Fortunately, Olive had transford into a dragon, roughly the sa size as him. Staring at the still-small Olive, Jiang Chen was utterly speechless. I let you eat Dragon Crystals so you’d grow quickly. Did you even eat them? Why are you still so small? It seems I still have to rely on myself. With a sigh, Jiang Chen helplessly unfurled his wings and soared into the sky. Olive followed suit, taking in the strange new world around them.

"Where is this place?" Olive asked.

"The Different Worlds," Jiang Chen replied.

"I know it’s the Different Worlds, but what are the monsters like here?"

"The monsters are hiding beneath the desert."

At that mont, the entire desert below began to writhe. Within a one-kiloter radius, the ground churned ceaselessly. Jiang Qiu extended her right hand, and countless Nano Insects flew out from it, blanketing the ground. One hundred Elves had already prepared their Magic, aiming at the ground, ready to kill any enemy the mont it appeared.

Just then, dozens of black tentacles erupted from the sand, rushing into the sky and sweeping towards the Elves above.

At Jiang Chen’s command, thirty thousand Sword Qi shot out rapidly. Jiang Qiu’s Nano Insects also latched onto the tentacles, swiftly devouring them.

A furious roar erupted from beneath the sand as a massive monster erged. It resembled an octopus, with dozens of tentacles covered in sharp spikes. The giant octopus was at least one hundred ters long and stood tens of ters tall when it rose.

Lisa was stunned. What kind of monster is this? It’s enormous!

Lisa commanded, "Attack!"

Explosive Arrows flew towards the octopus Demon, and Jiang Chen’s thirty thousand Sword Qi shot towards it as well. However, just as the Sword Qi penetrated the octopus Demon, Jiang Chen clearly felt his connection to them sever. The Sword Qi had been corroded. The Demon’s flesh possessed a powerful corrosive property, akin to high-strength sulfuric acid, instantly neutralizing the Sword Qi. Jiang Chen’s brow furrowed deeply.

He quickly led Alice and the others to fall back, shouting as they retreated, "This Demon is strong! It has a Corrosion Effect, and my attacks are useless! Retreat quickly!"

Lisa led her contingent of over one hundred people in a swift retreat. The Magic that struck the octopus Demon had no effect. Even Jiang Qiu’s Nano Insects, after devouring so of its flesh, fell to the ground, clearly corroded and dissolving into puddles of pus.

Lisa’s brow furrowed. "What in the world is this monster?" she muttered.

The group hastily retreated on the backs of their Giant Dragons.

Olive explained, "That is a Corrosion Monster. Its flesh can corrode any attack; even a slight touch will lead to corrosion."

"You know this?" Jiang Chen asked.

"Yes, I’ve seen many monsters. I know their abilities and their weaknesses."

"What’s its weakness?"

"Flas. Its flesh is very vulnerable to Flas; they cause severe damage."

Lisa pondered this in silence. Then, she gave an order, "Fla Magicians, follow and attack it!"

"Understood!"

Lisa, with a dozen others, flew high into the sky and directed Magical Flas at the Corrosion Monster. Various Fla Light Pillars engulfed the creature.

Just as Olive predicted, when the Flas struck the octopus Demon, its body instantly ignited, burning rapidly from the inside out. Before it could be consud, the octopus Demon quickly burrowed back underground, vanishing from sight.

There are even Demons like this? Lisa wondered.

Olive replied, "Of course. There are many bizarre Demons: Manserpents wreathed in Thunder and Lightning, Spiders enveloped in poisonous gas, and even Demons that can cause Spatial Fluctuations."

"They all possess unique abilities, much like those with Super Divine-level Classes, each having its own strengths."

"If you kill them, they might drop Energy spheres from their bodies. These can be used to craft equipnt and imbue it with unique Attributes."

Enchantnt? Is that even possible? Jiang Chen thought.

Lisa nodded. "I’ve also heard of Attribute-adding spheres, but such Energy spheres aren’t easy to obtain. That Corrosion Monster earlier, for instance. Since we couldn’t defeat it, it just burrowed underground, and we had no way to deal with it."

Jiang Chen asked, "Can enchantnt only be applied to Weapons?"

Olive explained, "Of course not. Any piece of equipnt can be enchanted, but it requires Legendary Equipnt or higher. Only Legendary Equipnt can withstand such power."

"Why didn’t you say so earlier?" Jiang Chen exclaid.

"Brother, you didn’t ask!" Olive retorted playfully.

This little girl actually knows so much, even about enchantnt! It seems I’ll need to focus on collecting other spheres in the future and enchant my Legendary Equipnt, Jiang Chen mused. My Offensive Power is high, and my attacks have the Thunder and Lightning Attribute, but it’s not always useful against special monsters. Take the Underworld Clan’s space-type warriors, for example, or that Corrosion Monster from before. It could even corrode Sword Qi! How am I supposed to fight that? Luckily, such monsters are vulnerable to Flas.

Jiang Chen pondered further. What Attributes does my Weapon lack? I have enough Offensive Power and speed. The only thing missing is an Attribute to resist abnormal statuses. Corrosion is an abnormal status, so it’s no wonder Legendary Equipnt needs Resistance to them.

Lisa announced, "Let’s go. We’ll keep moving. If we encounter that Corrosion Monster again, it will an certain death."

Jiang Qiu added, "My Nano Insects are also ineffective. After devouring the Corrosion Monster’s flesh, they die too."

"I know," Jiang Chen said. "It looks like you’ll need enchantnt too."

"We’ll deal with that later," Lisa interjected. "For now, we must be cautious on this journey into the Different Worlds. The monsters here are not to be underestimated."

Jiang Chen nodded in agreent. They had encountered a formidable enemy right after entering. Who knew what other kinds of monsters they would face ahead.

The group continued to move forward. They soon flew out of the desert, and what ca into view was a vast expanse of scorched earth, a world utterly devoid of life, as if a great fire had burned everything clean.

"There must be monsters hidden here as well," Jiang Chen observed.

Lisa wondered aloud, "This place is completely different from the desert. Why would the Parasitic Beasts hide in this part of the Different Worlds?"

"Who knows?" Jiang Chen replied. "It’s not the Parasitic Beasts themselves that are scary, but their ability to enter a host and turn it completely into a Demon."

"I just wonder where the Parasitic Beasts have taken the Spiritual Pearls," soone mused.

"We need to continue the search," Lisa affird.

The group of over one hundred people flew onward. As soon as they entered this new region, they felt an imnse pressure, as if a great mountain was pressing down on them. The Giant Dragons roared and struggled, then began to plumt towards the ground.

"This is a Gravity Domain," Olive exclaid, her voice strained. "My body feels so heavy! There must be Gravity Monsters here! Brother, I’m going into the Covenant Space. I can’t stand this!"

With that, Olive vanished into her Covenant Space. The others quickly recalled their Giant Dragons into their own Covenant Spaces, as flight was now impossible under the intense gravity.

Jiang Qiu, however, remarked, "I feel fine, though!"

"Jiang Qiu, how are you not affected?" Alice asked, struggling.

Another Elf chid in, "Yeah, I feel incredibly heavy, like I’m carrying hundreds of pounds."

Lisa explained, "Don’t you know? Jiang Qiu’s equipnt has Attributes that grant Resistance to abnormal statuses. This gravity effect counts as an abnormal status."

"Wow, I’m so envious!" ca a chorus of voices.

Jiang Chen, however, felt little effect beyond a slight increase in the usual pull of gravity.
