Angelina said excitedly, "Little Chen, I’ve reached level 38."

"Hmm, I’m the sa as you."

"At this rate, we’ll be able to be Upgraded quickly and soon reach the First-stage."

Chiyoshima Hitomi exclaid in surprise. Is this guy only level 38? If he’s this terrifying at level 38, wouldn’t he be even more so after reaching the First-stage?

Deeper in, Chuanteng Sanlang and his group were battling Demon King Beckley amidst many corpses—Dark Creatures and humans alike. It was evident that both sides had experienced a fierce fight.

At that mont, three figures appeared in their field of vision.

Demon King Beckley looked at the newcors. Isn’t that the female Divine Envoy and that young man? So, those two have co as well.

Chuanteng Sanlang turned around and said to Chiyoshima Hitomi, "Chiyoshima Hitomi, what are you doing here? Go back. After I kill the Demon King, I’ll give you his head."

"No need. I’ll reap his head myself."

"Fool! Okawa Takuma, get them out!" he commanded.

A warrior approached Jiang Chen and the others. "Miss Chiyoshima, please leave. We can handle the Demon King; there’s no need for you to act."

Jiang Chen smiled. "As a Hero, it is our responsibility to slay evil creatures; it is also our honor as Heroes."

"Didn’t I tell you? We’ll kill him. Now get lost!"

Jiang Chen’s eyebrows raised. Without another word, Three Hundred Sword Auras penetrated Okawa Takuma directly.

Okawa Takuma fell to the ground.

The scene fell silent. Everyone was stunned, including Beckley. Beckley chuckled internally. Interesting, so there’s internal strife!

Chuanteng Sanlang roared, "What are you doing?"

Jiang Chen smiled. "Divine Gods, didn’t you see? This guy was preventing from killing the Demon King. It’s quite obvious that he was in collusion with Demon King Beckley."

Upon hearing this, Beckley burst out laughing. "Lad, you’re right! It’s just a pity you discovered his undercover act."

Chuanteng Sanlang was so angry he nearly spat blood. This guy acted without so much as a word, completely disregarding him, a Divine Envoy.

Chuanteng Sanlang strode towards Jiang Chen. "You’re seeking death!"

Chiyoshima Hitomi stepped forward and challenged, "Chuanteng, what are you trying to do? Attack a Hero?"

"And what if I am? I brought my n to kill the Demon King, but instead, one of them was killed by him! As a Divine Envoy, how could I stand by? And you, Chiyoshima Hitomi! You were given a chance, but you didn’t cherish it. You’re no longer a Divine Envoy!"

Chiyoshima Hitomi’s expression darkened. "Are you going to strike ?"

Chuanteng Sanlang commanded, "You guys hold off Demon King Beckley! I’ll finish these three off first."

Demon King Beckley laughed heartily. "Interesting, very interesting! When did my head beco so valuable? But as for you lot trying to stop ... do you really think that’s possible?"

Demon King Beckley charged forward, wielding a Scythe, and began a frenzied slaughter. It was almost as if, with the Scythe in hand, he owned the world.

CLANG...

A Knight raised his Shield, but it split in two instantly. His body was cleaved in half, and he died on the spot.

"Fools! Do you think my Offensive Power can be withstood by a re Shield?"

With the Divine Envoy no longer suppressing him, Beckley went on a rciless slaughter. No one could withstand the Demon King’s attacks.

Chuanteng Sanlang glanced back, his expression grim, and quickly abandoned Jiang Chen and the others to attack Demon King Beckley. Jiang Chen took note of Chuanteng’s fighting style.

The man was a warrior, a Dual Blades warrior, decked out in a complete Golden Set.

Even as a warrior, his speed was considerable. He began to duel with Demon King Beckley, and the two exchanged blows on the battlefield instantly—various slashes and sword swings. It was a back-and-forth battle.

Chiyoshima Hitomi had been too naive. She assud killing Demon King Beckley would restore her status as a Divine Envoy, but now it seems impossible. Chuanteng Sanlang might even kill her directly. After all, that’s the simplest solution. If she dies in the Dark Zone, no one can be held accountable.

Angelina asked, "Little Chen, what do we do now? Once they kill Demon King Beckley, it’s very likely they will turn on us."

"I’m well aware of that, but I won’t give them the chance."

Sword Array!

Jiang Chen instantly activated the Sword Array Barrier. A golden light emanated from him as the center, enveloping him and his two companions. Sensing danger, Demon King Beckley imdiately fled outside the Barrier.

Chuanteng Sanlang did the sa.

However, Chuanteng Sanlang’s subordinates weren’t so lucky. The mont the Barrier activated, several of them were entwined by Sword Qi, their bodies instantly penetrated. Over a dozen n died instantly.

Demon King Beckley was shocked. What the hell kind of Phantom Class is this guy? Not a close-combat type? Not a long-range type? Such a powerful AoE Attack, it’s even more formidable than a Magician!

Chuanteng Sanlang roared, "Die!"

He leaped up, charged into the Sword Array, and slashed at Jiang Chen. Jiang Chen, with his two companions, flashed away, instantly dodging the attack.

At the sa ti, blood spurted from nurous wounds on Chuanteng Sanlang’s body.

Chuanteng Sanlang was shocked. This guy’s attack actually hurt ? How is that possible? I’m immune to 99% of damage, so how could I still be injured? I’m a level 99 warrior wearing a level 99 Set, and Jiang Chen hasn’t even reached the First-stage! How could he injure ? He couldn’t understand.

Jiang Chen looked at Chuanteng Sanlang and smiled. It really worked! Even though he’s immune to 99% of damage, he still can’t withstand my Sword Qi Attack, especially from the Sword Array. With one hundred Sword Auras entwined around him, he’d be dead instantly if he weren’t a Divine Envoy. My powerful Sword Qi has a Penetration effect, able to pierce Armor and ignore any defense. It can even kill Divine Envoys!

Chuanteng Sanlang’s expression darkened. "Hero, how dare you attack a Divine Envoy?"

"It wasn’t who attacked you. You barged into the Sword Array yourself. This Sword Array of mine delivers Indiscriminate Attacks."

"Kid, I’ll rember you! Just wait until we return; you’ll face Sanction for this!"

Beckley looked at Jiang Chen. "Little fellow, I admire you. How about you just join us? Look at your so-called Alliance—they’re still infighting. On our side, it’s different; you’d have absolute power."

"And you have what it takes to beco a Demon King, the master of Different Worlds."

Jiang Chen laughed. "Demon King Beckley, why don’t you kill the Divine Envoy first? Then we can discuss this topic at leisure."

"Heh heh... Do you take for an idiot? I see your killing intent. The Divine Envoy wants to get rid of you, and you want to kill the Divine Envoy. You just don’t want to take the bla for it."

Jiang Chen fell silent. Who said Demon Kings are idiots? This one is clearly very smart!

That was exactly what Jiang Chen had planned. The Demon King kills the Divine Envoy, then Jiang Chen kills the Demon King—allegedly to avenge the Divine Gods.

The crucial point was that this Demon King wasn’t a pushover. He saw right through it.

Jiang Chen sighed. "Sotis, being smart isn’t necessarily a good thing."

"Heh heh... If I were to flee now, do you think you’d have a chance against him? That Divine Envoy, or whatever, he’s very strong. How about we join forces to eliminate him, and then we can settle our own score?" Beckley proposed.

Chuanteng Sanlang hesitated. Ally with the Demon King? That’s sothing I’ve never considered... but this idea really isn’t bad.

Chuanteng Qilang, standing nearby, asked, "Big Brother, what do we do now? This guy looks very strong, and we’ve run out of n."

When Jiang Chen had unleashed his Sword Array just monts before, Chuanteng’s side had lost over a dozen n, wiped out instantly by the Sword Array.

A few others, being over a hundred ters away, had managed to avoid the attack.

Now, Chuanteng’s side had only eight people left, including himself.
