"Chiyoshima Hitomi, you intervened in a private battle and violated the rules established by All Gods. Now, please co with us to explain what happened. If your actions are confird, the Alliance will strip you of your authority as a Divine Envoy."

Chiyoshima Hitomi nodded. "I understand."

"Good. Co with us."

Jiang Chen coughed. "Actually, everyone is mistaken. Miss Chiyoshima Hitomi wasn’t hunting ; we were simply slaying the Demon King in the Dark Zone."

Chiyoshima Hitomi shook her head. "No, I did violate the rules. I will tell the whole truth."

Jiang Chen was puzzled. Are you insane? I was defending you, and you confess? Isn’t this just asking for trouble?

"You’re Jiang Chen, right? You will also co with us. We must investigate your responsibility for blocking the passage and hunting the Heroes of the Sakura Alliance."

Jiang Chen was taken aback. Weren’t they saying that what happens in the Different Worlds doesn’t matter? Why are they getting involved now?

"Also, Three Union Chief Militant Yōsuke Mizujin and everyone from the Three Union Corps, all of you, co along. We must thoroughly investigate this matter and not miss a single detail."

Jiang Chen approached Deng Li and asked quietly, "Will I be in trouble?"

Deng Li shook her head. "You shouldn’t be."

"What do you an, I shouldn’t be?!"

"Honestly, I’m not sure. But it should be fine. The Alliance doesn’t usually interfere with your skirmishes in the Different Worlds, but this ti, blocking the passage was going a bit too far." Deng Li then added, "Also, Chiyoshima Hitomi was hunting you. How did you end up with her? Did you conquer her or sothing?"

"No."

"Really? It doesn’t seem like it. You were just speaking up for her! If the evidence is concrete this ti, she could very well be stripped of her position as a Divine Envoy. That’s an extrely severe punishnt."

Jiang Chen remained silent.

Deng Li wondered what on earth they had experienced in there.

「The eting room.」

Divine Envoys from all five major zones of the Alliance were present, making it tantamount to their most solemn assembly.

Jiang Chen, Chiyoshima Hitomi, Three Union Chief Militant Yōsuke Mizujin, and mbers of the Three Union Corps all stood to the side.

Here, no one dared to make a move.

Nor would anyone dare to.

On the high platform stood many high-ranking individuals. They were also Divine Envoys—so even Second Order God Emissaries—representing the highest echelon of power in the entire world.

The Envoy of Judgent announced, "First, allow to introduce the individuals involved. We have Three Union Chief Militant Yōsuke Mizujin, a Dragon Knight."

"Next, Jiang Chen. He is a Swordsman from the Dragon Zone Union and the champion of the Alliance Tournant. In that tournant, by slaying 200,000 Heroes, he surpassed the record previously held by Zhang Xiaoxiao."

Upon hearing Jiang Chen’s battle record, the Second Order God Emissaries on the platform regarded him with new interest.

"Not bad at all. Slaying 200,000 people... how did he manage that?"

"I recall Zhang Xiaoxiao is a Curse Master. That young lady is quite formidable. Slaying 200,000... Are Swordsn truly that powerful?"

"Mm, this young man shows promise for the World Battle. A fine prospect indeed!"

The Envoy of Judgent coughed. I am currently presiding over a tribunal and stating the facts. What are you all doing, choosing a son-in-law?

The Envoy of Judgent continued, "Chiyoshima Hitomi, a Divine Envoy of the Sakura Alliance, head of the Sakura Alliance Legion. Her profession is Magic Swordsman."

The Envoy of Judgent went on, "I have a general understanding of the cause of this incident. Three Union Chief Militant Yōsuke Mizujin, I ask you now: did you lead your n to ambush Jiang Chen?"

Yōsuke Mizujin nodded. "Yes."

"Why?"

"During the Alliance Tournant, he killed tens of thousands from our Sakura Alliance, causing us to finish last and suffer humiliation. Therefore, I decided to lead an ambush against him."

The Envoy of Judgent nodded. "A compelling reason. However, let inform you that the Alliance Tournant is a competition designated by the five major zones of the Alliance, intended to select outstanding talents."

"As for your so-called ’battle for honor,’ that is rely wishful thinking on your part."

Yōsuke Mizujin remained silent. Before such powerful individuals, he dared not lie, nor could he offer any rebuttal. Many Divine Envoys were gathered here, and no one would dare question their decisions.

The Envoy of Judgent looked at Jiang Chen and asked, "Jiang Chen, did you block the passage to the Dark Zone and kill one hundred and fifty Heroes, including mbers of the Three Union Corps and the Three Union Corps?"

One hundred and fifty? Were there that many?

Jiang Chen nodded. "It seems so."

"What do you an, ’it seems so’? It either is, or it isn’t. This is a tribunal. You may deny the charge; we give Heroes the opportunity to defend themselves."

"I didn’t count how many."

The Envoy of Judgent nodded. "Alright. So you blocked the passage and killed one hundred and fifty Heroes, is that correct?"

"Yes."

The Envoy of Judgent looked at Chiyoshima Hitomi and continued, "Chiyoshima Hitomi, as a Divine Envoy, you hunted Jiang Chen of your own accord. Is this true?"

"Yes."

"Why did you violate Alliance regulations?"

"Jiang Chen killed mbers of the Sakura Alliance, and I could not let it stand."

"As a Divine Envoy, unauthorized participation in conflicts between Legions is forbidden by the Alliance. Esteed Adjudicators, the facts are now clear. You may proceed with your judgnt."

Jiang Chen glanced at her. This woman actually admitted it. Isn’t she going to offer any defense?

From the judges’ dais, a Second Order God Emissary looked at Jiang Chen—no, at Chiyoshima Hitomi.

"I am quite curious, Chiyoshima Hitomi. Since you were hunting Jiang Chen, why did you not succeed?"

"He’s very fast."

"Were you injured then?"

"In the Dark Zone, I encountered the Demon King Beckley and was gravely injured during my battle with him."

On the judges’ dais, three Second Order God Emissaries conferred among themselves.

"The battle between the Three Union Corps and the Three Union Corps occurred in the Different Worlds. According to regulations, the Alliance has no jurisdiction to intervene or assign accountability for battles that take place in the Different Worlds."

"However, if other Legions were to follow this example, it would inevitably lead to further conflict."

"Considering all factors, the Three Union Corps and the Three Union Corps will be demoted from a Level 1 Badge to a Level 0 Badge."

"Jiang Chen unilaterally blocked the fissure passage and slaughtered one hundred and fifty Heroes of the Sakura Alliance. Chiyoshima Hitomi hunted Jiang Chen, thereby violating Alliance regulations."

"Jiang Chen, do you forgive Chiyoshima Hitomi for her actions?"

Jiang Chen said, "I forgive her."

"Good. Since Jiang Chen forgives her, the punishnt may be mitigated. A mission is now assigned to you both: within three days, you must deliver the head of the Dark Zone Demon King, Beckley, to this court. This will absolve you of your transgressions."

"Chiyoshima Hitomi’s status as a Divine Envoy is temporarily revoked. Should this mission fail, her status as a Divine Envoy will not be reinstated."

Is that all? Jiang Chen had thought he would receive a harsher punishnt.

「...」

Jiang Chen returned to Shenlong Academy.

「In the Principal’s office.」

Zhang Wencheng, smoking a cigarette, looked at Jiang Chen. "All good now?"

"Yeah."

"You’re a lucky young man. Chiyoshima Hitomi is a Divine Envoy, yet you managed to escape her. Since you’re unhard, focus on raising your Level and try to avoid further conflict with people from the Sakura Alliance in the future."

Jiang Chen smiled. "That’s not entirely up to ."

Zhang Wencheng chuckled. "Tell , did you... ’manage’ to win over Chiyoshima Hitomi?"

"No."

"You definitely did. Who knows what the two of you got up to in the Different Worlds? Still, it’s good that you weren’t punished. It’s different for Chiyoshima Hitomi, though. If she doesn’t slay the Demon King within three days, her position as a Divine Envoy will be stripped."

Jiang Chen thought of the Demon King Beckley. Chiyoshima Hitomi was no match for him. That creature’s Offensive Power was truly formidable.
