Changsun Zhong's plan to disrupt the 'Sun' was imdiately t with opposition from all nations, and it was intense.
Even though he provided corresponding evidence showing the crises of desertification and high temperatures.
The first thing they did was to massively store water resources, causing water prices to change daily.
Of course, that's not the main point; the focus is that they not only opposed him but also deliberately stopped Changsun Zhong from using the Strategy Bureau to act independently.
Suppression, threats, and more have made the once-glorious Strategy Bureau sowhat miserable today.
"How dare they!" Changsun Shi said, anger evident in his expression; he had never thought that countries would act this way.
"It's simply shortsighted; aren't they afraid of being held accountable for this?" Song Jing's face was also grim. The countries did not respond tily; instead, they all planned to bring their water resources, then wait for desertification and high temperatures to co, retreat into underground shelters, and continue their superior lifestyles.
With more people dead, more resources could be freed up.
"Who can hold them accountable? We are being coerced by them," Changsun Zhong said.
He was actually reminiscing about how, back in the day, the Executor from the plan to reverse the future managed to bring all countries to heel.
Unfortunately, when that person arrived, he was still a child; his Growth was not really in his own world but in the Garden World beyond the Human Community's defense lines.
So he didn't know much.
The reason was to ensure he wouldn't follow the rules strictly, thereby creating variables.
"Then we can only act without going through the countries," Changsun Shi said through gritted teeth.
"I'm afraid it's not possible; we don't have enough resources to do it; they control the resource channels."
"Without the corresponding resources, we can't manufacture the equipnt," Changsun Zhong understood well. The Strategy Bureau is strong in military force and its power is widespread across countries.
But there's a very serious flaw, and that is the autonomy issue.
The Strategy Bureau itself is composed of personnel from all countries, and funding, resources, and so on are also supported by various countries. Once the countries collectively cut off their support, the Strategy Bureau would beco an empty shell.
At that ti, even eating would be difficult, let alone doing anything else.
Do they really think all countries trust such an international organization with enforcent power?
The Strategy Bureau can actually enforce because of the existence of tahumans, not just hold visible rights.
Its special status is due to mutual restraint among countries, not because the Strategy Bureau has much capability.
It's like paying for peace.
But if the Strategy Bureau affects their interests, then they can not only withhold money but also make the Strategy Bureau insecure.
"How do we handle this then? We can't just let it go; how many people will die in a month!" Changsun Shi was also anxious.
"We certainly can't let it go; I'm still too young," Changsun Zhong admitted. It was his first ti doing sothing like this, and having no Experience being deceived by a group of politicians was normal: "So I plan not to reason with them anymore."
Changsun Shi was shocked: "You're going to seize power by force?"
"No, originally the dia is in their hands; taking action would only make future resistance more difficult," Changsun Zhong knew the consequences, so he could only take another approach.
"I ntioned earlier, I plan to request aid."
This relieved Changsun Shi; the current situation was both internal and external trouble. A small mistake could lead to everything getting out of control.
"Weren't you unsure if you could find reinforcents?" Song Jing asked curiously.
"It's just a plan; this is a way to force them to compromise," Changsun Zhong said with a cunning smile: "Regardless of whether reinforcents or enemies co, they won't stand on the countries' side."
"If it's enemies, everyone dies together; if it's allies, they'll have to bow under the powerful force of the Human Community."
"They say they want to lift the roof; they surely won't agree. But if I take a step back and say I want to open a window, they'll agree," Changsun Zhong saw through it. The upper echelons value their interests, tahumans are their tools, and the Strategy Bureau is just their ans to use those tools.
As for the crisis?
To put it bluntly, if even the Strategy Bureau can't resist, even if they can't win, they can surrender.
After all, the other side surely needs people to manage the world once they rule it.
Even though Changsun Zhong said that the other side's goal is to destroy civilization and their world, they just scoff at it, thinking who would do such a thing?
Of course, they don't think they can't deal with Wang Linchi; the Strategy Bureau is strong, sure, but it's still vastly different from them.
Not to ntion other things, just the tahumans who co here are not the best, even if so are SSS-ranked superpowers.
Who would send their best here?
"Aren't you afraid they'll act like cornered dogs?" Changsun Shi asked calmly.
Changsun Zhong's actions could indeed force them to give in, but it's more likely the countries would think of killing him to quell the matter.
"Why should I be afraid? It's just death."
"They think they can easily deal with the enemy and want to use desertification and high temperatures for a big harvest."
"But they never know the perverse pleasure; the consequence of such actions will only amuse the opposition."
"Really think surrendering loses half? No, they'll only be wiped out."
Changsun Zhong seed a bit desperate; who would have thought his biggest trouble wasn't combating Wang Linchi but being undermined by his own teammates?
Changsun Shi could see Changsun Zhong's state and sighed internally; the guy was still too young.
Moreover, he didn't have the mindset or ans to counter such politicians; ultimately, he had too much expectation.
"If you want to overturn the table, you're not facing one person or a group but an entire interest group."
"This thod is inadvisable."
"So let handle it; I'll persuade them within three days," Changsun Shi offered to take on the matter.
Changsun Zhong was sowhat surprised but nodded: "If you can't resolve it, then we'll go with my thod."
"Alright!" Changsun Shi didn't refuse; if he failed, he had no alternative.
Then he and Song Jing left directly; since they had to do it, they needed Song Jing to cooperate. They'd need to send ssages and coordinate, as technology hadn't fully recovered yet.
After the people left, Changsun Zhong followed with a sigh.
"Your approach, actually, is the wrong path," a gentle voice ca as the entire office ward up instantly.
Changsun Zhong imdiately beca alert, watching with a grave expression as a radiant figure solidified gradually, turning into Wang Linchi.
"If I were you, wanting to solve this ss, at the first mont of arrival, I would topple the world by myself. Then, no one would dare oppose you, and every plan would be implented earnestly," Wang Linchi continued.
"That's why you're not ," Changsun Zhong replied.
"That's correct. Extraordinary people should do extraordinary things; cutting through the ss is the point, not untangling it from the start. You don't have enough ti," Wang Linchi said without reserve, sitting down.
"What business do you have with ?" Changsun Zhong did not continue discussing the topic with Wang Linchi but asked directly.
"It's because you plan to destroy my 'Sun'; how could I sit idly by?" Wang Linchi said with a smile.
Changsun Zhong wasn't surprised: "So, how do you plan to counter this?"
His probing was almost blatant.
"Of course, I can't let you destroy it; you also know the 'Sun' in the sky is related to desertification and high temperatures. If you really destroy it, my ti for Ascension might be delayed by two more months."
"Therefore, I plan to take action on water resources. What do you think?" Wang Linchi asked in return.
"A very clever move; once water resources beco an issue, it's a dead end for everyone," Changsun Zhong thought to himself, realizing it wasn't good.
Humans can't survive without water.
As for Wang Linchi, he was no longer considered human.
Vaguely, Changsun Zhong could see the grains flowing under Wang Linchi's skin; his life form had already transford into a similar elental life.
Moreover, this wasn't even the real Wang Linchi; this was just a projection ford by grains remotely controlled by him through the 'Sun.'
Wherever there is sand and dust, it's his Domain; the whole world is undergoing desertification, and everything said or done would not escape his surveillance.
But he doesn't care; it didn't matter whether he hid or not, as the display of such abilities was akin to announcing his invincibility.
"I'm pleased to have your recognition," Wang Linchi smiled: "Then I'll proceed. Hope this helps you."
When Wang Linchi said that, it was indeed nauseating to the opposite side, like telling him it's for his own good as he kills him.
