Inside the Tao Tian League headquarters, everyone was downcast and gloomy. The leader, Hu Heng, was so stunned he couldn't utter a single word.

This ti, they had lost thirteen Tribulation-crossing Virtue Cultivators—a substantial number for the entire Qiandao Realm.

The devastation of two cities and the deaths of nurous mortals carried little weight; after all, with the Qiandao Realm's large population, a few million deaths were insignificant. However, when it ca to Tribulation-crossing Virtue Cultivators, each loss was deeply felt.

"Does anyone have a good strategy?" Hu Heng finally broke the silence.

"It's not that there isn't one," Wang Linchi chid in.

This surprised Hu Heng; he hadn't expected Wang Linchi to speak.

Wang Linchi was the first Cultivator to have confronted the giant beast directly. Though he had managed to escape unscathed and even bring his son, it hadn't been without difficulty.

His son, Hu Da, was no longer in a life-threatening situation, but recovery would take at least a few years. After all, they had faced a giant beast imbued with an immortal's constitution; their survival was nothing short of a miracle.

"Lingyuan Hermit, please speak your mind." Hu Heng, in truth, didn't believe Wang Linchi could offer any solution. In his opinion, Wang Linchi specialized in Spells and Magical Artifacts that increased rits, making it too much to ask him to devise a combat strategy.

However, since Wang Linchi was a rare talent whose abilities could enhance everyone's power, he received special attention and favorable treatnt. Such a person had to be protected.

Besides, Wang Linchi had saved his son despite their previous disagreents, so Hu Heng held him in very high regard.

"This giant beast is extraordinary. It possesses the power of an Immortal, especially that Immortal Fla, which we Mortals cannot withstand."

"Therefore, to battle this beast, we must possess equivalent power," Wang Linchi continued.

Hu Heng paused. This was obvious to everyone. He then said gently, "We all understand this, but we have no way to obtain power equivalent to that of an Immortal."

If they could find sothing capable of countering Immortal power, would they still be so distraught?

"Actually, we already have it, and it's within each of us," Wang Linchi said. He knew Hu Heng was giving him an out, especially given how awkward his previous statents had been.

Everyone was dumbfounded by his words, wondering where they possessed such power.

Could it be… rits? Hu Heng keenly perceived.

"Exactly," Wang Linchi replied confidently.

However, Hu Heng shook his head. "If rits were useful, our thirteen comrades wouldn't have fallen."

How could their rits be useful? Their cultivation and Mana, derived from these rits, had shown no effectiveness in the fight.

"League Leader, your words are true. However, their fall was not due to their rits. When you faced the beast, did any of you utilize your rits to defend yourselves or attack it?" Wang Linchi asked again.

"Lingyuan Hermit, stop beating around the bush and tell us the reason!" soone interjected, urging Wang Linchi to stop stalling.

"Yes, stop making us guess! Since we obtained them, rits have never shown any power for fighting or killing; they're just for cultivation. Could it be that you've comprehended so new thod from this, Hermit? Please teach us!"

Since Wang Linchi had a solution, everyone was willing to listen; after all, this matter directly affected their interests.

If they didn't eliminate the giant beast, the Tao Tian League would eventually be destroyed by it.

Although the beast only destroyed one city a day, there was no guarantee it wouldn't eventually destroy their own territories.

All the Cultivators who joined the Tao Tian League were assigned a territory where they acted as emperors, monopolizing resources and amassing wealth.

Cultivators lacking virtue—an ironic fact. But since their rits were accumulated artificially, they didn't much care.

"rits have three stages: rit-golden Light, rit Golden Wheel, and finally, Virtue Golden Body. The lowest level among you must be at least the rit Golden Wheel, correct?" Wang Linchi began.

"Naturally. Without the rit Golden Wheel, how could one achieve the Transcendance Tribulation Stage?" Hu Heng affird, then signaled for everyone to quiet down; his authority as League Leader was still respected.

"If we were to use Spells to manipulate the rit Golden Wheel into a shield and let this giant beast attack it, the beast would suffer a backlash. What are the chances, do you think, that the giant beast would die from this backlash?" Wang Linchi asked.

The Tribulation-crossing Virtue Cultivators present couldn't help but ponder this. Wang Linchi's plan seed feasible. After all, even Immortals might not withstand a rit backlash, let alone this giant beast. It only possessed a portion of an Immortal's power, making it rely a Demi Immortal, and would surely be unable to resist the combined backlash from nurous rit Golden Wheels.

However, there was a question: would this course of action affect their own rits?

For them, rits were their foundation. Risking them was like gambling. If they won, they might glimpse the Immortal Realm. But if they lost, it could an not only the end of their spiritual journey but very likely their deaths.

So for them, this was like betting their lives, and naturally, they wouldn't agree imdiately.

"Indeed, the thod Lingyuan Hermit suggested holds a ninety percent chance of killing the giant beast. However, we are all ambitious individuals, and the world cannot do without us as protectors. If a problem arose that put lives in peril, the loss would outweigh the gain." Hu Heng diplomatically declined, justifying his refusal on the basis of the greater good.

The Tribulation-crossing Virtue Cultivators naturally disapproved of gambling on a course of action with a chance of death. Hence, after Hu Heng spoke, many others voiced their agreent.

"I was indeed inconsiderate in this matter," Wang Linchi admitted directly and said no more.

He had already anticipated this outco; the only reason he had suggested the plan was to lay the groundwork.

Did they really think I only copied that vicious monster Bhemura? I only used a part of Hao Rui's genetic material. New monsters are already in preparation. I'll show these oblivious Cultivators what true malice looks like.

After Wang Linchi's suggestion was dismissed, the discussion resud. However, aside from his proposal, the rest seed rather insubstantial.

If their attacks couldn't harm the enemy and they couldn't resist its attacks, how could they even discuss damaging it?

Hence, the discussions mainly headed in two directions. One was to seal the beast. Since they couldn't defeat their opponent, the practical choice would be to seal it and periodically strengthen the seal.

The other was to find the source of the giant beast. Once they obtained a power similar to that of Immortals, they could implent a plan to use Immortal power to counter Immortal power.

Regardless of the approach, execution would not be easy.

Sealing required considerable manpower. While the risk might not be as high as Wang Linchi's plan—using their rits to form a shield and create a backlash against the enemy—a mont of inattention could still lead to their deaths.

And seeking the giant beast's source was even more of a wild goose chase, as they couldn't trace it at all.

The giant beast appeared and disappeared without a trace. It was incredibly powerful, and many Magical Abilities had beco ineffective against it.

Ultimately, after six hours of discussion, they failed to reach a solid conclusion and decided to reconvene and devise a plan the next ti the giant beast appeared.

These people really do fear death more as they age, Wang Linchi mused. He didn't mock their attitude; it was human nature, and he could understand it. Unfortunately, he stood on the opposing side. He understood, but he wouldn't back down. He intended to hit them hard next.

Since they were unwilling, Wang Linchi would show them what it ant to defy Fate.

Now that the Immortal Path version of Bhemura exists, the Immortal Path version of Astron must follow suit.

These two monsters could rge to beco Burning Bhemurastron, elevating a being from the Initial Stage of the Immortal Realm directly to its Middle Stage. Wang Linchi could even have them fuse into a creature of the Immortal Monarch Realm. However, if they reached that level, the Tao Tian League wouldn't stand a chance. So, he had to settle for increasing their power by only one minor Realm.

Even this small upgrade was beyond what the Tao Tian League could handle; in fact, no one in the entire Qiandao Realm could resolve it.

Their only hope was to follow Wang Linchi's plan. Under his guidance, they could transform internal problems into external ones and accelerate developnt due to the crisis.

However, such coercion needed to be handled with care; otherwise, a single misstep could lead to the outright destruction of the Qiandao Realm's civilization.

A spring stretched too far will eventually snap.
