"The spaceti fluctuations have stopped," Wang Linchi said abruptly.

The Summoners accompanying Wang Linchi glanced at each other. After exchanging looks, the leading Summoner nodded. "Yes, we should be able to leave now."

With that, he took the lead, guiding the group out of the spaceti fragnt.

The next mont, everyone dispersed, leaving Wang Linchi alone in the middle.

The Heroic Spirits imdiately sprang into action to apprehend Wang Linchi.

The resistance they had anticipated never materialized. Instead, he was captured with surprising ease, catching them completely off guard. If he had unleashed his powers to resist, that would have been understandable. This current situation, however, was entirely unexpected.

With a grim expression, Wang Linchi looked at the leading Elders. "What? Are you planning to use as a scapegoat?"

He acted completely ignorant, appearing as if he were the one being frad.

"Take him back." The Great Elder, naturally, wouldn't be foolish enough to confront or question him in public.

There was no need to worry about the matter causing a public outcry. To maintain secrecy, all Summoners at the South Rotating Space-Ti Base, aside from essential personnel, had been relocated. Even essential Summoners were prevented from observing the area for the next half hour. Therefore, no one would discover what had transpired within the South Rotating Space-Ti Base. The incident would ultimately be sealed as a top-secret case, its details never to be revealed.

A group of Summoners and Heroic Spirits vigilantly escorted Wang Linchi to a predetermined, top-secret location, implenting various asures to prevent him from causing trouble.

Naturally, the next step was interrogation.

Initially, of course, the approach was one of inquiry rather than imdiate torture; they wouldn't resort to physical punishnt from the outset. One must proceed step by step, not play all one's trump cards at once—unless, of course, one's hand consists entirely of trump cards. However, the Federation's hand was far from strong; they held no aces, only worthless cards. Their strategy was to bluff, to act as if they held a royal flush.

"Wang Xianyu, a visitor from a Different World, has mastered..." The Great Elder sat opposite Wang Linchi, listing all his unconventional behaviors and knowledge. This was intended to pressure Wang Linchi.

Wang Linchi scoffed, his deanor fearless. "You've got quite an imagination. So, this is why you Elders captured ? Too bad you guessed wrong. I'm not a visitor from a Different World, but those unconventional behaviors and knowledge you ntioned? Those are indeed true."

"Wait, what do you an?" The Great Elder was taken aback. Normally, there were only two possibilities: admission or denial. Wang Linchi's response, a denial yet also an admission, was sothing he hadn't anticipated.

"It ans nothing much. So, what do you all intend to do? After all, I am an elder in the Elder Group. Isn't treating this way rather improper?" Wang Linchi said nonchalantly.

"Drop the pretense; you cannot explain all this."

"The Federation's request is actually quite simple..." the Great Elder began, attempting to both intimidate and cajole Wang Linchi.

Wang Linchi listened without expression, which frustrated them. His impervious deanor left them at a loss as to how to proceed.

"Are you done yet?" After listening to the Great Elder for about half an hour, Wang Linchi finally interrupted him.

"Have you ever heard of sothing called a 'System'?" Wang Linchi finally asked.

"Of course. In digital signal processing theory, an entity capable of processing and transforming digital signals is referred to as a system," Elder Jia You chid in.

Technological items like computers and mobile phones existed in this world, so the concept of a 'system' in that context was familiar.

Naturally, this was different from the 'System' Wang Linchi was referring to. He had to clarify, "That's not what I an. I'm talking about a supernatural phenonon. For instance, by a stroke of luck, I obtained sothing called the Super Tech System. By completing tasks issued by this System, I can receive various super-technology rewards."

"Do you understand now that I've explained it this way?" Wang Linchi's words then plunged the already quiet room into an even more peculiar atmosphere.

"So, all your technology... it actually cos from this Super Tech System?" the Great Elder asked, his tone laced with disbelief.

"Yes." Wang Linchi sighed helplessly. "I didn't want to reveal this, but given the current situation, I suspect I'll soon be facing torture if I don't."

"Do you really think we'll believe that?" scoffed the Third Elder. He was playing the 'bad cop' in this interrogation, to contrast with the other two.

"Believe it or not, it's up to you. At the current expansion rate of the Spaceti Rift, everyone has two or three years left at most. Dying a bit earlier makes no difference to ," Wang Linchi replied with indifference.

"Could you elaborate more on this Super Tech System?" the Great Elder asked.

Wang Linchi glanced at him, then said, "I can. But after I'm done, I will no longer interfere with the Federation's operations, nor will I provide you with any new technology. Then, you're on your own!"

He then proceeded to describe a fabricated system, using various settings he'd plagiarized from sowhere.

"So, do you know the origin of the System and all this technological knowledge?" After listening, the Great Elder's expression grew even more peculiar. Truth be told, it did align with Wang Linchi's developnt, but there was still a problem: where did such a miraculous System co from?

"I don't know. But I do know soone else who also has a System. I just don't know what kind it is," Wang Linchi replied, feigning innocence.

"Who?" The Great Elder's spirits lifted; there were more Systems?

"Bai Xuan. He has one too. I've calculated the production rate of his resources. I obtain super-technology from thin air; he, on the other hand, seems able to generate resources for cultivating Heroic Spirits out of nothing." Wang Linchi said, diverting the bla. This also served to lay the groundwork for his own, entirely fabricated, System.

"Alright, I understand." Hearing this, the Great Elder showed little interest; Bai Xuan's was rely for personal assistance. The System Wang Linchi possessed, however, could benefit the entire Federation. He then asked, "How reliable is the tech knowledge that your Super Tech System provides?"

"I'm rely the provider, not the developer. How would I know such things?" Wang Linchi evaded once again.

"In your opinion, and in the System's assessnt, what are the chances of success for the Ark Project?" the Great Elder asked the crucial question.

For them, survival was paramount. The issue of the Spaceti Rift was pressing.

"It's said that as long as it's completed, it can fully preserve our civilization and species. However, I don't know the exact details." Wang Linchi didn't hide this part. It was true because even if it were completed, Wang Linchi planned to devour it, allowing its continuation within himself.

"Is there an alternative, or a less brutal thod of escape?" the Great Elder pressed. "Or, to be more direct, is there technology capable of nding the Spaceti Rift and resolving the Annihilation Disaster?" The Great Elder was indulging in wishful thinking.

It wasn't that Wang Linchi didn't have such solutions—he had plenty—but he had no intention of revealing them.

"No. My Super Tech System has already reached its maximum level. All available technologies have been retrieved. The final technology is the Ark Project." Wang Linchi was indicating that he had unlocked everything the System had to offer.

"Of course, I've held back so key technologies. This was precisely to prevent a situation like this, where you might discard after I've outlived my usefulness.

"And the technology I've withheld is crucial. Without this part that I possess, you won't be able to complete the Ark Project."

This statent made the Great Elder inwardly curse. So, this brat was prepared for us all along!

"Hand over the remaining technology, and we can consider this matter concluded," Elder Jia You interjected.

However, Wang Linchi shook his head, a sneer on his face. "Do you take for a fool? If I were to hand it over, do you think I'd have any chance of survival?

"At worst, we all die together. Given your actions, wouldn't it be more fitting for you to accompany in death?"

At this mont, everyone present knew the situation had beco critical.

They had initially assud Wang Linchi was lying, but that was impossible. The Heroic Spirits present could discern falsehoods, and many possessed Talents and abilities capable of seeing through a person's thoughts. Therefore, Wang Linchi hadn't lied at all. Moreover, he couldn't possess any formidable strength; otherwise, how could he have been captured so easily?

"Don't refuse a toast only to be forced to drink a penalty. Many Heroic Spirits here are capable of Soul Search and mory reading," the Third Elder threatened.

"The System has encryptions. If you forcibly try to read the knowledge from the System, my brain will be fried. You'll still get nothing," Wang Linchi replied, his expression indicating he had anticipated this.
