A twitch appeared in Wang Linchi’s eye. He was very curious about how atball had evolved into such an abstract entity.

After devouring a large number of Demon Gods, atball had ceased to be a ball of flesh and had instead taken on a humanoid shape. Furthermore, it could vaguely be seen that atball was emulating Wang Linchi’s appearance as it grew. From its abstract exterior, one could barely make out so of Wang Linchi’s features. It seed that, due to a lack of proper education, it did not understand its nature and was simply mimicking instinctively. This creature was indeed intelligent. It did not choose to mimic the Saint Master—not because the Saint Master was too complex, but because in atball’s eyes, Wang Linchi was superior. Therefore, if it were to mimic, it would surely choose the stronger being as its model.

Yet its mimicry left Wang Linchi sowhat bewildered. For instance, its left arm was a patchwork of a monkey’s head, a lion’s tail, and a rhino’s horn. This did not even include the fingers, which were an even more abstract rendering of various downsized internal organs. Wang Linchi had no idea how atball made its choices. If it possessed even a shred more rationality, it would not have made such bizarre selections. There were monkey-like Demon Gods among those it consud; it could have utilized their arms. But instead, it had to assemble its own, resulting in this appearance that left Wang Linchi at a loss for words.

Upon observing atball’s disordered features, only its initial mouse-like eyes seed remotely normal; the rest was too appalling to look at directly. And yet it dared to smile at him. With that smile, its entire face seed to crack open, leaving Wang Linchi unsure of how to react.

"Stop smiling. Let’s be quiet." Wang Linchi felt his heart beating faster, though it was rely a sensation, as he didn’t actually possess such an organ.

He knew, indeed, that beneath atball’s smile lurked a profound malice—a desire to devour Wang Linchi alive and incorporate him as part of itself.

Labeling it a Demon God, Wang Linchi felt, did not do it justice. It was likely akin to the initial Erroneous Sin, exhibiting so sort of fundantal error. Wang Linchi wanted to call it a God Defies. Of course, he still found atball to be sowhat more manageable.

Nevertheless, Wang Linchi remained lenient, mainly because, through days of research, he had discovered more and more benefits of atball, such as its potential to serve as the missing internal organs for a ga character. The downside was that atball had not yet fully developed. At the very least, it needed to consu most of the Demon Gods in the world.

There was no need to worry about atball’s malice. That was trivial to Wang Linchi, who was proficient in Frontal Lobe Surgery, Thought Destruction, Spirit Shattering, Soul Torture, and other thods, plus Refining, Fusion, and so on, ensuring it could completely beco a part of his ga character. The only drawback was the concern that it could trigger a sharp decrease in the dynasty’s population, which would affect the transition of his faith network.

"SKREEE-YAA!" atball emitted a bizarre sound, yet Wang Linchi understood its aning—it had comprehended.

Although its language system was not deciphered, atball itself possessed a language ability resembling inherent rules, allowing others to understand what it was describing.

"Have a good sleep. Now is the ti for growth. Eat and sleep more." Wang Linchi, with a benevolent deanor, grabbed about a dozen Demon Gods and threw them into the cultivation pillar as food for atball.

As soon as the Demon Gods entered the cultivation pillar, atball beca excited. Its quasi-human, uncanny body sprouted nurous tentacles, covered by a skin-like layer that was likely so kind of mbrane. atball, however, didn’t care and simply made do. It was because of this that atball’s tentacles were usually concealed beneath this skin, only erging when it was agitated. With atball’s growth, its original tentacles beca more nurous and increasingly thin, resembling blood vessels or hair. Wang Linchi leaned more towards seeing them as feeding appendages.

At this stage, atball seed to have progressed beyond its larval phase and reached adolescence. It could no longer feed by parasitizing as before but instead ferociously devoured all the Demon Gods directly via its tentacles. Its appetite was also growing. Wang Linchi wondered whether to let atball go out and find its own food when it reached the next stage. Otherwise, he would have to continuously catch Demon Gods from various places to feed it. He certainly didn’t have the leisure for that. With every stage it passed, the growth ti and the quantity of food needed for the next stage would significantly increase.

Wang Linchi wasn’t sure how many stages atball had, but the upper limit was definitely capped at level 21. Its form, however, was uncertain, and its abilities would also change. There was a clear difference between one level 21 and another. Did a level 21 ga character truly carry the sa weight as a level 21 Demon God? Even without resorting to other powers, the ga character could fight ten Demon Gods using only one of its hands, and they still wouldn’t be able to breach its defense.

As for atball, being a God Defies, it could devour Demon Gods from birth. Its growth rate was clearly beyond what a Demon God could handle, and its steadily increasing size was phenonal. Wang Linchi was at a loss for words.

I guess after consuming about three hundred more Demon Gods, it will advance to the next phase. It’ll probably outgrow the cultivation pillar too. I’ll reveal a flaw then, send it off, let it find its own food, and all I have to do is wait for the harvest.

As for the possibility of atball being killed by Li Qinglian, there was no need to worry. Wang Linchi could easily monitor them and could intervene if the situation beca truly dire. They were both important subjects of his research, so Wang Linchi had no plans to let them et. One would be sent to the east, the other set free to the west. Unless Li Qinglian, this Nine Extres and Unpredicted Prophet, sohow foresaw sothing.

However, Wang Linchi noticed sothing was amiss with Li Qinglian’s Unpredicted Prophet abilities. Sotis they worked, other tis they didn’t, and they could even be affected by the butterfly effect. Wang Linchi had successfully outmaneuvered him several tis. Though Li Qinglian had managed to escape, it hadn’t been without difficulty. If he genuinely possessed prophetic abilities, he would have been able to foresee these discrepancies, yet he perceived nothing of the sort. There were even tis he’d foolishly walked right into traps. He showed no signs of caution, which left Wang Linchi bewildered. What’s happening here? Why have his abilities suddenly stopped working?

In response, Wang Linchi could only maintain his perplexity and vigilance. What if Li Qinglian was just trying to fool him?

While pondering, Wang Linchi suddenly felt a ripple in the fate of all beings.

Is this... the Hidden Dragon?

Wang Linchi recognized these familiar fluctuations. He had been monitoring them continuously to avoid missing the Hidden Dragon ever since he brought Li Qinglian back to Dai Temple. For sixteen years, there had been no movent, until today.

He was unsure of the chanism behind the Calamity of the Last Law choosing the Hidden Dragon. However, he was certain about one thing: when the Hidden Dragon beca the True Dragon and ascended the throne, the Calamity of the Last Law would decrease by one power level. This would cause the existing upper limit of power to fall, leading to a decline in the realm’s overall strength. The current level cap was 21. After the Hidden Dragon ascended the throne, it would decrease to 19. This was likely a way for the Calamity of the Last Law to overco so kind of bottleneck. If not, the pattern would be too suspicious. Each change of dynasty resulted in a power level drop. If this was re coincidence, Wang Linchi would eat his hat.

After leaving the lab, Wang Linchi began to pinpoint the location of the Hidden Dragon. The Hidden Dragon could be seen as a limited version of a protagonist, with restricted powers and a predetermined path of growth. However, regardless of whether it was limited or a substitute, it could be invested in. After investing, high returns could be gained without any risk.

Wang Linchi planned to emulate his investnt in Yuan Lin and invest in this new Hidden Dragon. His requirents were not high; he just wanted him to promote Wang Linchi’s The Way of Magical Talisman. By then, he could reap the world once more. He had learned his lesson and wouldn’t be giving too many discounts or welfare benefits this ti. Instead, he planned to squeeze them dry. He would ensure that anyone in the next dynasty who wished to walk the transcendent path could not bypass his promoted The Way of Magical Talisman and could only serve as his exploitable resources. Like the Heng Dynasty—even after Wang Linchi treated them well, they still suppressed him, didn’t they? If the Demon Gods could exploit, why couldn’t Wang Linchi? Not only did he want to exploit them, but he also wanted to recover all the resources he had lost in the past years.

Found it. Next, I need to figure out a reasonable way to approach him, then subtly make him my accomplice.

Wang Linchi quickly determined the Hidden Dragon’s general direction. However, the area was sowhat large, requiring a more precise search. He could certainly manufacture precise equipnt, but the cost would be too high. Besides, Wang Linchi could easily recognize the Hidden Dragon once he was on-site, so why increase the cost? This equipnt would only be used once every few hundred years; the payback period was too long, unless he could use it hundreds, if not thousands, of tis. However, there weren’t even that many dynasties in this world, let alone Hidden Dragons.
