The grand eting of the entire hospital, just as the Desert Trio had heard, convened smoothly at midnight.

Wang Linchi, Hand of God, and Green Plum Brews Wine were all present, along with a small, cobbled-together group of three doctor-identity Players.

The sudden drop in numbers was, of course, because they had been killed by the Erroneous Sin. Wang Linchi’s ease in dealing with the Erroneous Sin stemd from his strength; other Players couldn’t match him, so casualties were inevitable. Thus, while there had been nearly ten people that morning, only three remained.

In the grand eting, these six Players were like pigs in a slaughterhouse; one wrong move, and they could be devoured by the Erroneous Sin in the conference room.

This conference room was large. Wang Linchi also saw the Head of the HR departnt from before, sitting in the first row. There were also many bizarrely-shaped Erroneous Sins, though fortunately, they still vaguely resembled human forms, but that was the extent of it.

The discussion naturally centered on the recent increase in dical staff, particularly the number of Nurses.

Hearing this, Wang Linchi understood the ga intended to close off all identities except for patients. Next ti, Players entering would only have two choices: beco a patient or a ghost. It could only be said that their early bonuses had been exhausted, and the difficulty of what remained had significantly increased.

Being a patient wasn’t easy. Without sufficient skills, or if one encountered troubleso Nurses, lucky Players might only suffer torture in their sickrooms; unlucky ones could be killed outright.

"When do you think the Desert Trio will make their move?" Hand of God murmured quietly from the side.

Wang Linchi had naturally inford his two ’teammates’ about this, though he had altered the sequence of events slightly and obscured so details.

"Those three are audacious. If it were that easy, it wouldn’t be their turn," Green Plum Brews Wine said, though in reality, he was taking the matter very seriously.

The Desert Trio had a notorious reputation, but their capabilities were undeniable.

In truth, none of them wanted to attend this grand eting; it was no different from sending sheep into a tiger’s den. Unfortunately, they had no choice.

Although the initial speeches were impassioned, all the Erroneous Sins in the room had their eyes fixed on the six Players, rely waiting for the eting to conclude before making their move.

"The Director has made so excellent points. I, however, will briefly touch upon three points. These three points are crucial, the very core of the matter. Yet, this core..."

After the Director finished speaking, the Vice-Director began to address the eting.

Wang Linchi listened, his scalp prickling. Thankfully, just as the speaker was concluding the thirteenth summary of the seventh section of the third sub-point of his first ’key point,’ an explosion interrupted the speech.

The entire conference room began to shake. Lights from the ceiling ca CRASHING down into the center of the room. This spectacle left even the Erroneous Sin stunned.

"Is this the Desert Trio’s doing? Isn’t this too much of a commotion?" Hand of God found it hard to believe.

"I don’t think so. I suspect it might be soone else," Green Plum Brews Wine said, shaking his head and dismissing the possibility.

Before the Vice-Director could react in outrage, one of the three unlucky doctor-identity Players suddenly stood up.

"This is it," Wang Linchi affird.

BOOM.

The Player exploded on the spot, this ti with an even greater impact. The entire conference room collapsed, and the ward building housing it trembled.

With one explosion outside and another inside, it would be foolish to claim there’d be no impact.

A suicide bomber... truly terrifying. But it seems to have provoked them.

Wang Linchi, along with Hand of God and Green Plum Brews Wine, retreated in a tily manner, largely unscathed.

News of the grand eting to be held in the conference room that night was no great secret within the Player community; it had been widely circulated. Most, however, lacked the qualifications to attend. However, being unable to participate didn’t an they couldn’t attempt sabotage.

"Attack!" a Player yelled, and a large number of Players surged in, comncing their wild actions.

"Quick, let’s go! Who knows which lunatic instigated this? If numbers alone could solve it, it wouldn’t be this troubleso," Green Plum Brews Wine grumbled.

At first glance, the Players seed to hold the advantage. However, numbers had never been an issue for the Erroneous Sin. They could kill directly, without even needing to invoke the killing rules.

"Sothing’s very wrong," Wang Linchi suddenly said.

The perpetrators wouldn’t have gone to such lengths just to cause so trouble; there was no benefit for them in doing so, and they would eventually be exposed. No matter how well-concealed their actions, a determined search afterward would uncover clues, even if not the whole truth. So, these two explosions were likely just the beginning; more was to co.

The Players who charged in died without any ans of resistance, perishing in large swathes.

"Sothing is definitely wrong. Who could possess such an ability, to make so many Players lose their senses?" Hand of God concurred with Wang Linchi.

In the era of the Erroneous Sin ga, all Players understood one principle: brute force was not the answer. Look at this group, charging forward like that. What use is it?

"They’re being controlled, just like that Player who self-destructed earlier," Green Plum Brews Wine said.

The Desert Trio? Wang Linchi didn’t believe they possessed such capabilities; it was more likely they were being manipulated. Otherwise, how could the enemy have so much internal intelligence? Players knew about the grand eting tonight, but not the specific details, nor even who would attend. Yet the Desert Trio had sohow known to control a doctor-identity Player.

"It can’t be them. Those three are, at best, scapegoats, only slightly more significant than pawns," Green Plum Brews Wine refuted.

"This ti, the Ga System had cramd in too many hidden Old Silver Coins." Hand of God knew his own ranking was sowhat inflated, largely propped up by the Ga System’s support. The world was never short of talent.

Just as Hand of God finished speaking, and as the three of them retreated to the very periphery, the Erroneous Sins slaughtering the Players abruptly froze.

"Who used the killing rules!!!"

"Damn it, move! It’s Entanglent!"

"It’s too late, damn Players..."

Suddenly, an Entanglent Force Field materialized, sweeping up all Erroneous Sins within its range.

"They succeeded," Hand of God observed, his expression growing increasingly grave.

"Only halfway," Green Plum Brews Wine corrected, his face also darkening.

The main problem was that these Erroneous Sins were now entangled together, and it was impossible to know what would happen next. Would they all ’crash,’ or would they rge to create an even more terrifying Erroneous Sin? If it was the forr, everyone would be overjoyed. But if it was the latter, they were utterly dood. An Erroneous Sin born from the Fusion of all the doctors, directors, managers, and other personnel of the hospital would be far beyond their ability to handle.

"I suspect it might be the work of Fallen Players," Green Plum Brews Wine said.

Hearing this, Hand of God was montarily stunned; he hadn’t expected Green Plum Brews Wine to voice such a suspicion.

"Otherwise, they wouldn’t commit acts so detrintal to others yet unbeneficial to themselves. More importantly, their intelligence network is extrely potent."

"I suspect this person was one of the first batch of Players who entered with us. Then, the second and third batches must have all included Fallen Players. Ultimately, they succeeded according to their ticulously laid out plan."

"They are nurous and powerful, and with this current weakening effect on us, we are no match," Green Plum Brews Wine continued, not waiting for Hand of God’s reaction.

"Let’s retreat first. If this is truly the work of Fallen Players, then the probability of this new Erroneous Sin *not* simply ’crashing’ is far too high," Hand of God said without hesitation.

Compared to regular Players, Fallen Players not only retained their previous combat abilities but, as Erroneous Sins themselves, also possessed pervasive infiltration capabilities and their own intelligence networks. If not for their smaller numbers and suppression by the Ga System, ordinary Players would be no match for them. How could one possibly win against an enemy who is both stronger and better inford?

Wang Linchi, however, wasn’t particularly concerned. Chaos was good. It was like a fire engulfing a granary, or underworld soldiers borrowing grain—a perfect cover. With all the items he had acquired, as long as he maneuvered carefully, all discrepancies could be smoothed over. Then the records would appear legitimate, and neither the Hospital Director nor the Ga System would be able to find any irregularities.

Ye Tian is a good man. Still, I need to make my move. The mastermind’s plan isn’t bad, just a bit crude and easily exposed. Whether for his own sake or to thank them for inadvertently providing cover, Wang Linchi definitely wouldn’t just sit back and watch.
