"After a head is severed, how long do we have to consu it to ensure freshness?"
"No more than three seconds."
"If one chokes on a bone while eating, what is the best solution?"
"Swallow it."
"After a patient dies, what should we do?"
"Consu the body as soon as possible to prevent decay and deterioration."
"How should dical disputes be resolved?"
"Catch the opposing party off guard and consu their entire family."
"We..."
Hand of God felt sowhat numb. Was this a serious interview for a doctor? It sounded both horrifying and like a series of brain teasers. More importantly, Wang Linchi, who was feeding him the answers, had gotten every single one correct.
"Congratulations, your interview was flawless. Welco aboard, Doctor." In the Human Resources Departnt, the Erroneous Sin, resembling a mountain of flesh, squeezed out from its office chair. The fat on its face rippled with joy as it extended a hand.
"It is my honor, Director," Hand of God quickly rose to grasp the Director’s large hand. Their hands clasped, creating a very awkward sight.
"Well, go to the Logistics Departnt and get your things. Rest a bit, and rember to be at the Surgery Departnt promptly tomorrow morning. We’re short a doctor there; you’ll be just the right fit." The Human Resources Director withdrew his hand and slowly squeezed back into his chair. Its imnse fat couldn’t be contained by the chair and bulged out from the sides.
"Yes, yes, I certainly won’t disappoint your kind intentions, Director." Hand of God naturally understood social etiquette and wouldn’t act arrogant.
"Your papers have been approved. Off you go." The Human Resources Director picked up the docunt on the desk and pushed it towards Hand of God.
"Thank you for your guidance, Director. If there are no further instructions, I’ll take my leave," Hand of God said, getting to his feet.
The Human Resources Director nodded, saying nothing.
Seeing this, Hand of God departed.
After exiting the Human Resources Departnt office, he couldn’t help but sigh in relief. He glanced at his right hand, which was coated in a layer of grease, clearly from the earlier handshake.
As soon as he stepped out, he saw Wang Linchi and Green Plum Brews Wine idly chatting.
Green Plum Brews Wine imdiately noticed the problem with Hand of God’s right hand. "You’ve been marked?"
Wang Linchi hadn’t shaken hands when he ca out, but Hand of God had. This was definitely not a friendly gesture.
"Yes, I had no choice. Otherwise, I wouldn’t have been able to leave." Hand of God wasn’t foolish. If he hadn’t shown respect, he would have undoubtedly triggered the Human Resources Director’s killing protocol, and his fate would have been sealed.
"It’s a small problem. It should be fine after one night," Wang Linchi glanced over, not considering it a major issue.
It just ant sothing would co looking for him at night.
"Then you’ve really had so rotten luck," Green Plum Brews Wine teased. He wasn’t worried Hand of God would die; if he couldn’t even evade sothing like this, he might as well be dead.
"Which departnt are you in?" Wang Linchi asked.
"Sa as you two, Surgery Departnt," Hand of God replied, knowing this was a deliberate arrangent.
"It’s very perilous; we have to perform surgery on Erroneous Sins. I can’t do it, can you?" Green Plum Brews Wine wasn’t a doctor and knew nothing of the sort.
Besides, these patients weren’t sick at all; they were all Erroneous Sins. If they were actually taken to an operating table, one careless move could lead to a complete disaster.
However, correspondingly, if the procedure was reliable, for every Erroneous Sin that ca, one could be dealt with.
"You should know how, right?" Hand of God looked at Wang Linchi. After all, it was Wang Linchi who had brought them here and helped them pass the interview.
"I know how, but I’m not sure what the difference is between performing surgery on an Erroneous Sin and on a human," Wang Linchi said with a shrug.
For him, operating on humans or other animals and plants wasn’t a big deal; he had dissected plenty, and Erroneous Sins were no exception. But to cure an Erroneous Sin that wasn’t sick to begin with, that was indeed a bit difficult. He couldn’t very well make the Erroneous Sin sick on the operating table first, could he?
"Don’t worry, just proceed with confidence. The Ga System sent you here, so it must believe you have a role to play," Hand of God quickly reassured him.
The main thing was, right now, only Wang Linchi could handle this matter; they rely possessed their designated roles.
"Alright, I’ll stabilize the departnt. What about you two?" Wang Linchi asked in return.
He couldn’t be the only one working while the others slacked off, could he?
"Let’s get through today first, then see about tomorrow. The difficulty of this instance is high, and plans cannot be fixed yet," Green Plum Brews Wine said, speaking the truth.
He had only just arrived and hadn’t gathered much intelligence.
"Let’s go to the Logistics Departnt and pick up our things. We can discuss things slowly tonight," Hand of God said. He naturally couldn’t admit they were just going to slack off. However, the current situation was unclear, so they naturally couldn’t act rashly.
With this settled, Wang Linchi was satisfied. The three of them then prepared to head to the Logistics Departnt.
"The imposter who has infiltrated our ranks, any thoughts?" Wang Linchi probed on the way.
"No leads yet," Green Plum Brews Wine shook his head. In his and Hand of God’s view, they had essentially ruled out the possibility of Wang Linchi being the imposter.
"I think there’s a good chance it’s North General; he’s too ostentatious," Wang Linchi said, playing the thief crying "stop thief!"
Hand of God gave Wang Linchi a strange look. You have the nerve to say that? If anyone’s ostentatious, it should be you! But he couldn’t voice this thought; Wang Linchi genuinely possessed real skills.
Otherwise, how could he and Green Plum Brews Wine have passed the doctor’s interview so easily?
"It’s possible, but unlikely. An imposter who infiltrated our team wouldn’t be so high-profile. If they were as high-profile as you were earlier, wouldn’t that make them highly suspicious?" Green Plum Brews Wine offered a different opinion, phrasing it more tactfully by contrasting "low-profile" and "high-profile."
"So, you’re saying the imposter is among those low-profile individuals," Wang Linchi stroked his chin, appearing to be genuinely pondering. In reality, he was thinking about how to plunder the Ga System’s power next.
His thod of plunder would undoubtedly involve using the Players as cover to obtain the portion of power the hospital had siphoned off. With two relay points, he wouldn’t have to worry about exposing himself.
Otherwise, why would he be hanging around Hand of God and Green Plum Brews Wine? He was thinking of utilizing these top-ranked Players.
Compared to other Players, the top two ranked Players were certainly more valuable and possessed more privileges, allowing Wang Linchi’s actions to be more clandestine.
"It won’t be easy to root them out. The best approach is to ignore them; after all, our mission target is the Hospital Director," Hand of God suggested, offering a very good idea.
"I’m afraid it’s not that simple. If ignoring them was the solution, they wouldn’t have infiltrated our team.
"Even if we split up, we might not be able to defend against their sneak attacks. At a critical mont, they could cause us to fail at the final hurdle.
"My suggestion is to deal with this imposter as soon as possible; in any case, our mission has no ti limit," Green Plum Brews Wine stated, outlining the stakes, which made Hand of God frown.
No ti limit? Weren’t we given a year? Hand of God thought, looking towards Green Plum Brews Wine.
Green Plum Brews Wine responded with a look that conveyed: Don’t reveal anything.
He instantly understood. This was a test for Linyuan Fish. While they trusted him, so suspicions lingered.
Wang Linchi remained unfazed. He sensed so sort of exchange between the two but wasn’t sure what they had communicated. So, to avoid exposing himself, he said nothing.
However, he did notice a few small details.
No ti limit? Is that possible? Wang Linchi mused internally. If that’s really the case, then I’ll have to plan carefully. The Players seem to be planning for a long-term mission. This gave him a strange feeling: Could it be that the Ga System intends to use the Players to replace all the Erroneous Sins in the hospital, like a sacrificial swap?
If that’s really the case, then this plan of mine will have to be scrapped.
Wang Linchi wouldn’t wait that long. In about ten more days, Ye Tian would erge from his seclusion. And Wang Linchi, this big rat, aid not necessarily to hollow out the Ga System and the hospital, but at least to make them lose so badly they’d be left utterly ruined.
The three of them were lost in their own thoughts, yet their conversation on the way remained lively, with no awkward silences.
After confirming Wang Linchi had no issues, Green Plum Brews Wine also felt relieved. However, Wang Linchi not refuting his statent about the ti limit still made him feel a bit uneasy.
Hand of God, on the other hand, didn’t have many thoughts about it, nor did he care that Wang Linchi didn’t refute the ti issue; he hadn’t said anything either.
"We’re at the Logistics Departnt. Be careful when you pick up your things, especially you. Don’t make the sa mistake again," Green Plum Brews Wine said. His last words were a reminder for Hand of God. After all, he had already fallen for it once. Evading one Erroneous Sin was still possible, but dealing with two would cause the difficulty to skyrocket. Their only chance of survival would be to risk making both these Erroneous Sins ’crash’.
