"Tsk tsk, this truly is a miraculous power," Wang Linchi remarked. He initially hadn’t noticed that the Elental Giants possessed power effective against Erroneous Sin. After all, he wasn’t an Erroneous Sin, and his previous research had leaned more towards bloodlines rather than erosion. Each attack from an Elental Giant transmitted the erosion it endured as a special kind of rule-based damage. Wang Linchi had previously thought that after Full Elentalization, this erosion—a remnant of their bloodline enhancent—would disappear. He never imagined that not only would it persist, but it would also beco a source of power for the Elental Giants. It was quite normal for Wang Linchi not to have noticed this, as he wasn’t an Erroneous Sin.
"Did you extract it?" Ye Tian asked as he entered, a hint of surprise on his face.
"No, I just experienced it firsthand," Wang Linchi replied. He hadn’t been able to extract it; he had only just now perceived it. Such a thing isn’t easily extracted.
However, Wang Linchi discovered that the Elental Bloodline and erosion seed to be two different things. Even after Full Elentalization, this power of erosion transferred directly into the Soul of the Elental Giant. Whatever amount had accumulated would be the amount present; it wouldn’t diminish in the slightest.
"One thing can be confird for now: giants that haven’t undergone Full Elentalization cannot wield this power," Wang Linchi added.
Giants that hadn’t undergone Full Elentalization also carried erosion, but it was rely superficial; Wang Linchi himself could remove and purify it. However, once a giant achieved Full Elentalization, this erosion integrated with its Soul, undergoing a qualitative change—essentially becoming rule-based damage. Wang Linchi had no idea how this evolution occurred.
Ye Tian had already embarked on his path of conquest. He planned to bring all Elental Giants under his command, intending for them to serve as his primary force against other Erroneous Sins.
"This has already been verified. What’s the significance of ntioning it now?" Ye Tian asked, sowhat puzzled.
"It is significant," Wang Linchi stated without hesitation. "We can accelerate the process of Full Elentalization and enable Elental Giants that have already undergone Elentalization to further develop and utilize this power."
To make the entire Elental Giant Tribe even more powerful. Ye Tian’s eyes flashed, but he quickly suppressed a rather insane plan that had sprung to mind. He then asked, "Would doing this harm the Elental Giants in any way?"
In the end, he couldn’t bring himself to be ruthless. As a protagonist, his moral compass was considerably more upright than Wang Linchi’s.
"Yes," Wang Linchi offered. "Elentalization can cause irreversible changes, and at worst, complete erosion. I haven’t researched that far yet, but if you could provide with several Elental Giants who have undergone Full Elentalization, I could produce so results for you in a short ti."
"If things go smoothly, we could turn all the Elental Giants into weapons under our control," Wang Linchi stated bluntly, not even glancing at Ye Tian’s expression.
"Isn’t there a more ideal solution? They are my subordinates now. I can’t treat them that way," Ye Tian decisively rejected Wang Linchi’s suggestion.
The proposal was good, but he couldn’t bring himself to do it. No matter what, he could never bring himself to sacrifice the Elental Giants, turning them into re tools. They were living beings, after all.
"Oh, so you want to enhance their combat power while ensuring no adverse health effects?" Wang Linchi briefly summarized Ye Tian’s sentint, then shook his head. "There’s no such thod. The power within the Elental Giants’ bodies isn’t inherently good. If you had to classify it, it’s a disease."
"There’s no perfect option here. Either we leave things as they are and don’t trigger this ’disease’ to maintain the status quo, or, if you want greater power, then the only way is to let the ’disease’ spread."
For Wang Linchi, this was always a binary choice. ’Erosion,’ after all, was never a positive term.
"Then let’s not spread it," Ye Tian decided, in a manner typical of most protagonists. "Halt this research. We’ll find a way to unify the entire Giant Tribe as quickly as possible. Then, we’ll return to the surface and deal with the Erroneous Sin."
"So decisive?" Wang Linchi remarked, glancing at him.
"Hmm? Is there sothing else?" Ye Tian asked, a little puzzled.
"Yes, your idea is good, but..." Wang Linchi trailed off. "Well, never mind. Let’s just leave it at that." He had initially wanted to remind Ye Tian about the threat posed by the Ga System, but then he reconsidered. The other party might not necessarily listen, so it didn’t matter. Besides, his primary goal was to collect Elental Giant bloodlines; he wasn’t particularly concerned about these other matters.
"Why say half and leave the other half unsaid..." Ye Tian muttered.
"Because saying it wouldn’t change anything, so I couldn’t be bothered," Wang Linchi replied. He then stood up, stretched, and casually asked, "How many tribes have you subjugated so far?"
"Muyan, Black Burn, and Cliff Waterfall are secured. As for the rest..." Ye Tian didn’t dwell on why Wang Linchi had cut himself off. Instead, he quickly took stock before continuing, "Linghu Sen is managing them. As long as we can provide for the Giant Tribe’s food and shelter, they will serve us."
"Hold on, how did they co to obey you?" Wang Linchi wasn’t surprised by the general situation, just a little perplexed by this detail. Humans like them only reached the ankles of these giants. Why would the giants follow Ye Tian’s commands, let alone have him arrange their food and lodging? Couldn’t he have just enslaved them directly? After all, in the eyes of the Elental Giants, humans were incredibly weak.
"The giants are quite simple," Ye Tian replied, in turn, seeming puzzled by Wang Linchi’s question. "Provide them with enough food and a secure living environnt, and they’ll willingly follow you." What was so difficult about it?
Wang Linchi fell silent upon hearing this. It did seem to make so sense. After all, these were Primitive Tribes, and the giants weren’t exactly the sharpest tools in the shed. It was perfectly reasonable for Ye Tian, with his natural Charm and Protagonist’s Aura, to have swayed them.
"Alright, I suppose I misjudged that." Wang Linchi knew Ye Tian possessed an extraordinary Charm. Back in Wanxuan City, he had effortlessly gained command of four legions, comprising 4,000 clueless Players. It wasn’t surprising to see him achieve sothing similar again.
"Well, that’s your accomplishnt. What am I supposed to do?" Wang Linchi mused, unsure of his own role. "Help you make them surrender? I’m afraid that won’t work. I might not be able to do what you can."
"I’m not asking you to recruit anyone," Ye Tian clarified, not expecting Wang Linchi to handle such tasks. "We need to deal with the Titan King."
"Fighting and killing, that’s your forte, right?"
"Actually, I’m not..." Wang Linchi demurred. He knew nothing about actual combat; he relied entirely on Power Big Flying Brick. His little assistant was gone, and his auto-battle function was also malfunctioning.
"You’re quite the joker," Ye Tian said, clearly not believing a word. "We set off this afternoon. Rember to bring your things."
Wang Linchi didn’t object, simply nodding. "Alright."
The Titan King was the entity whose roar had blasted Ye Tian and Linghu Sen out of the subterranean world. Wang Linchi wasn’t concerned with how Ye Tian had learned about the Titan King, but Ye Tian had provided him with the relevant intelligence. Otherwise, if it ant charging headfirst into battle without any knowledge of the enemy, Wang Linchi would have refused outright.
The longest-living giant, the sovereign of this entire subterranean world. Wang Linchi mused as he reviewed the intelligence on the Titan King. The title ’Titan King’ wasn’t one recognized by all Elental Giants; Ye Tian had dubbed him so due to his imnse power. In reality, only the most ancient mbers of the tribes Ye Tian had subjugated possessed any information about him.
He’s really that massive? Wang Linchi was astonished. The Titan King’s height alone was 1,000 ters. How could anyone fight that? He wouldn’t even be able to give it a pedicure, let alone scrape dead skin off its feet.
Fortune favors the bold. Perhaps... Wang Linchi was quite covetous of the Titan King’s bloodline. Besides, he wouldn’t necessarily be the one taking the brunt of the attack. Since Ye Tian proposed this, Ye Tian would undoubtedly be the main combatant. He himself would likely play a supporting role. And if worst ca to worst, he could always flee. If he couldn’t win, surely he could escape?
Based on the current situation, it was uncertain if the Titan King could even bypass the chanics of his ga character and the ga rules. So, if he died, he would only need to sacrifice so Experience Value. During this ti, even without grinding monsters for Experience, he had already reached level 100. It wasn’t as if being in a different world with incompatible rules would slow down his leveling.
It seems like a very long journey. How does he plan to get there? And wouldn’t this delay the conquest of other tribes? The deadline for the world’s standstill is drawing ever closer. Wang Linchi knew Ye Tian didn’t have much ti. According to his estimates, it would take Players at least three months on foot to reach the Titan King, who resided in the center of the entire subterranean world. Besides, I have a feeling sothing might be wrong with this whole endeavor. Wang Linchi mused. His intuition wasn’t particularly strong, but his Luck was good, often allowing him to guess things correctly.
