[Chapter: 50 Path of Fusion]
After listening to William's words, Wembley's eyes lit up. "Oh, it's close, do you know what to do next?"
William's hands tapped on the keyboard and typed a few tis. "What do you think?"
Then Wembley looked at the values on the computer screen and said, "Perfect, how did you think of it?"
"Instead of that, shouldn't we try it like this now?" William said with a smile.
"Yes, yes, what are you still doing standing there? Quickly bring a mouse to the test," Wembley called.
A mouse was brought over, and the technician carefully took the needle and injected it into the mouse's body.
The mouse kept shaking and made a painful squeak. The technician placed the injected mouse in a transparent glass cover and observed the mouse's response.
The mouse kept rolling in the glass cover, and it looked like it was in a lot of pain. After a few minutes, the mouse's body trembled, and a layer of tallic luster appeared on the surface of its skin.
"Oh, oh," Wembley and a few technical staff cried excitedly. "Success, it is a success, integration was done successfully."
The mouse turned into a tal rat at that mont, slamming against the glass cover, but the hardness of the glass cover was not so easy to break.
"It's incredible," several technologists marveled.
Then sothing even more surprising happened. The mouse's body began to deform, turning into a tapered tal body and hitting the glass cover.
Boom!
A crack appeared in the glass cover.
"A tiny mouse has beco so powerful," Wembley called.
Suddenly, the tapered tal body began to twist, returned to the shape of a tal mouse, and made a painful cry, turning back into an ordinary mouse.
"What's wrong?" Wembley whispered.
Boom!
The mouse exploded, and the flesh blurred the glass with its blood and body parts.
"Failed?" Wembley said, disappointed.
William shook his head. "No, this is not a failure. It's just that this mouse cannot bear the power of the Transformium's deford elent, so it needs to be replaced with a new type of test subject."
"What?"
"n."
"What?" Wembley yelled. "It's not at the stage for human experintation right now."
"Well, this is for scientific research, so whoever wants to can co forward," William said with a smile.
Wembley and the other scientific and technological personnel all took a step back, leaving William alone in front.
"It seems that you all want to go first."
Wembley smiled and said, "We are all very confident in you succeeding." 'Just kidding, they just didn't want to explode like the mouse.'
William nodded. "Then let's try it."
"Are you really doing it?" Wembley asked.
"Of course."
"Okay, then don't bla us if you die," Wembley said imdiately.
"Don't worry, I won't bla you, because I will not die." His eyes were filled with bad intentions. If the Transformium is injected into the body of an ordinary person, the final result will be the sa as that of a mouse, since it cannot bear the power that cos from it.
William lay motionless on the reinforced alloy table. "Alright, let's do this. Rember, inject the Transformium into my bone marrow," he said, his voice steady yet tinged with anticipation.
"I know," Wembley responded, his eyes alight with excitent. He hadn't expected to conduct human experintation so soon, and the significance of this mont wasn't lost on him. "Let's begin."
A complex array of robotic arms hovered above William's body, each holding a needle filled with the specially engineered Transformium, prepared for injection. The sterile equipnt glinted under the harsh overhead lights.
"Comncing injection," Wembley said, pressing a sequence of buttons on his console.
With chanical precision, the rows of needles plunged into William's body, one by one. A sharp, almost imperceptible wince crossed his face, his jaw clenching as the pain set in. Each needle found its target, inserting into his bones with clinical efficiency. The discomfort was unbearable, but William kept his composure, despite the visible strain in his eyes.
"Ugh," William groaned, his fists tightening as the needles embedded deeper, making contact with the bone. The sensation of the needles piercing into his skeletal structure sent waves of discomfort throughout his body.
Wembley flinched, his gaze straying from the screen to watch the procedure unfold. He had no idea how anyone could withstand such an intense level of pain. For an ordinary person, the ntal and physical toll would likely be catastrophic, possibly even fatal.
His eyes flicked to the monitor as he observed the data, now streaming at an incredible rate. William's muscles swelled unnaturally, his entire body expanding with the strain of the procedure. Suddenly, a loud roar of agony erupted from him. "Ahh!"
The sound of bones cracking reverberated through the lab as William's internal structure reacted to the Transformium. His body contorted with the violent eruption of energy as the foreign substance coursed through his marrow.
"Extraordinary," Wembley muttered under his breath. His eyes were glued to the computer screen, watching in awe. "This is... beyond anything I could have imagined."
On the monitor, red bone marrow cells were colliding with the white Transformium particles in a fierce battle. It was a surreal sight, as if the cells were engaging in a war of survival. Both sides were evenly matched, each struggling for dominance.
"This is unbelievable," a technician whispered. "The bone marrow cells and the Transformium are engaging in a battle, yet they're not completely overpowering each other. It's like a fight of equals, sothing no human biology should ever permit."
Another technician, equally stunned, added, "Typically, the Transformium would completely dominate and consu the bone marrow, tearing apart the host's skeleton. Eventually, the host's body would be unable to withstand the strain, resulting in complete systemic failure. But this—this is sothing entirely different."
Wembley leaned in closer, his excitent palpable. "It looks like the fusion might actually be working. The bone marrow cells... they're holding their own."
Suddenly, one of the technicians shouted in surprise, "Look! It's changing!"
Wembley turned to the screen, where the red bone marrow cells were undergoing a transformation. The previously vibrant red color had begun to fade, replaced by a lighter, more translucent hue. The transformation was particularly noticeable in the cell nuclei, where white Transformium particles had begun to replace the central structures of the cells.
"This... this is it," Wembley said, a note of disbelief in his voice. "The bone marrow cells are rging with the Transformium at a cellular level. The nucleus of each cell is now completely replaced by the Transformium. This is the first ti we've seen sothing like this."
The red and white cells, once in stark contrast to each other, had now fused into a harmonious light red. The transformation was irreversible, and the fusion seed complete, signifying a breakthrough in human physiology.
"Unbelievable," one of the staff mbers said, unable to contain their astonishnt. "His bones... they're no longer made of calcium. The Transformium has completely replaced them, yet his flesh and blood remain human. This should be impossible!"
Wembley was almost beside himself with excitent. "This is revolutionary. The integration of human biology with Transformium—if the boss sees this, he'll be speechless. Quickly, save all the data! This is too valuable to lose."
Just as Wembley turned back to the console to secure the data, a guttural roar erupted from William. The sudden movent caught everyone off guard. With a surge of force, William's body tensed, and all the needles that had been inserted into him were violently expelled from his body.
Bang! Bang!
The needles shot out like high-speed projectiles, ricocheting off the steel walls and piercing quartz glass. The room erupted into chaos as the needles tore through the air, striking the equipnt and puncturing anything in their path. So of the needles even found their targets among the technicians, embedding into their bodies with a sickening thud.
"Get down!" a technician scread, diving for cover as the needles continued to fly with lethal precision.
William, now panting heavily, looked down at his body, his skin glistening with sweat as the transformation completed. His body trembled from the imnse pressure, but there was a sense of power radiating from him—sothing entirely different from what he was before.
Wembley stood frozen, watching as the chaos unfolded around him.
