{Chapter: 119 Temptation of food}

"Is this all true?" Claire asked lightly.

"Of course it is true. There is no falsehood, so I strongly oppose that if you let that demon join the team, he will make this team no longer exist," Carlos said with an expression of righteous indignation.

"That person really is as terrible as you say? If he wanted to kill, he could do so easily, but he didn't kill you in Raccoon City. In a way, he saved you. Carlos, you're harboring too much resentnt. Your anger is getting the better of you, so calm down," Claire replied as she walked away.

Carlos clenched his fist. "William, I will never let you go."

In this way, William and Jill joined Claire's team, and naturally, Alice, who was in a coma, was included as well.

---

"Joining this team, what are you going to do? Protect these people? This isn't your style," Jill said, looking at William.

William smiled. "Why can't I protect them? I can do whatever I want. I can kill them if I want, and I can protect them if I choose."

"You really are a demon; there is no reasoning with you whatsoever," Jill said, shaking her head.

"Thank you, but as I said before, 'devil' would be more suitable."

Jill glanced at the humans digging through the landfill. "They seem to have killed a lot of people. If this team continues like this, it won't last long."

Terry approached with a cara. "Yes, when Carlos and I just joined the team, there were twice as many people. Now, half a year later, so many have died. I really don't know who will survive tomorrow."

"Terry, as long as I'm here, we won't die," William said, looking directly into Terry's eyes.

Terry imdiately replied, "I believe in you."

Jill frowned slightly and swallowed back what she wanted to say. The pair of "lovebirds" acted as if she didn't exist, didn't they?

"William, how did you et Jill?" Terry asked curiously.

William gazed at the sky with the look of soone reciting a prophecy. "This is probably fate. After the Raccoon City incident, I searched for you everywhere."

"Looking for ?" Terry frowned.

"Yes," William nodded.

Terry, slightly moved, said, "William, I knew you wouldn't leave , but I don't understand why you didn't leave with us back then."

"Because I had my own business to take care of. I couldn't follow you, and I didn't want to bring danger to you," William replied with an air of sincerity.

Terry was even more touched. "William..."

"Don't speak; just listen to . I searched for you everywhere," William said, his face full of affection. "The world is vast, and finding you was no easy task."

Terry nodded. "And then?"

"During my search, I t Jill. It was like this: Jill was attacked by a zombie army. The situation was as dangerous as it was dire. At the mont of death, I saved Jill," William said with exaggerated drama.

Jill looked at William, speechless. She had seen shaless people before, but this was on another level.

Terry turned to Jill. "Jill, you're so lucky to have t William back then."

Jill forced a bitter smile, screaming internally, Terry, is your IQ in the negatives? How can you believe this nonsense? These are all made up! How can you not see it?

"Yes, yes, I'm so lucky," Jill said, lighting a cigarette in frustration and taking a drag.

William coughed a few tis. "Please allow to clarify. After rescuing Jill, we stayed together while I continued my search for you. I was confident I could find you because I had a strong intuition that you were nearby. That's why I ca here."

"William, you're so wonderful," Terry exclaid, flying into William's arms.

William patted Terry's back with a satisfied expression. "It was my duty. It's only natural."

Jill, seething with irritation, reached out and pinched William's waist. This damned scoundrel.

"Looks like I've co at the wrong ti," Claire said, approaching.

Terry imdiately released William with an awkward expression, and Jill discreetly withdrew her hand.

"Eat. If you don't like it, just pass," Claire said, preparing to leave. Then she noticed the cigarette in Jill's hand, her eyes lighting up. "Do you have another smoke?"

"You're in luck," Jill said, pulling out a pack and handing it to Claire. "No need to pay it back."

"Thanks," Claire said with a smile before walking away.

"It's canned food again," Terry muttered, shaking her head bitterly. She had been eating canned food for over half a year.

After complaining, Terry smiled again. "But I'm still alive, I haven't turned into a zombie, and I still have food to eat. I guess I should be grateful."

"Then you're lucky. Soone here has all the good stuff," Jill said, making a face at William.

"Good stuff?" Terry asked, confused.

"William, aren't you going to show off? Isn't this the perfect mont to flaunt your skills?" Jill said sarcastically, choosing her words carefully.

William grinned. "You're absolutely right."

A blue light flashed, and to Terry's astonishnt, a grill, a gas tank, and a stove appeared, along with a table full of at, fruits, and vegetables.

"What is this? How did this happen?" Terry's eyes widened in disbelief. Even raw, the sight of the food made her mouth water.

Jill, unfazed, smirked. "Relax. This lunatic is full of surprises. He's like a dog that can sniff out freezers full of food."

"Amazing," Terry said, swallowing hard.

"Well then, let Chef William handle dinner today," William said, firing up the stove. "You just sit and relax."

"Okay," Terry agreed eagerly.

As the at sizzled on the grill and vegetables fried in the pan, the aroma wafted through the air, attracting the rest of the survivors. One by one, they approached, their mouths watering, their eyes glinting with desire. Fresh vegetables, juicy at, ripe fruits—luxuries they hadn't tasted in ages.

"Can I have a little?" a woman asked timidly, her gaze fixed on the at.

"Of course, I—" Terry began, but William interrupted her.

"Of course, I can share," William said with a smile. "But what can you offer in return?"

The woman hesitated, seemingly unsure of what she could offer. Another woman suddenly stepped forward, shouting, "I'll give you whatever you want! Anything! You can do whatever you want with ."

As she spoke, the woman tore off her upper clothes, exposing herself and the boobs were revealed. "Look at ! I'm in good shape, aren't I?"
