[Chapter: 111 Mutant Great White Shark]

"It's less about ; you should think about Terry," Jill said with a touch of irony in her voice, though she didn't seem to notice it herself. There was a faint bitterness laced in her tone.

"I want both of you," William replied, his honesty cutting through the tension.

"Why don't you just die?" Jill snapped, her eyes narrowing in anger.

William quickly realized that continuing this topic—especially since it was about another woman—would only spell trouble for him. He shifted gears imdiately. "Before I went to sleep, I wanted to know what happened over the past six months. The events, the losses, everything. Even if so people died, I need to know."

Jill scoffed, her tone dismissive. "Why pretend to care? You just want to know what I've been up to these past six months, don't you?"

"That's fair," William admitted with a small smile.

Jill paused, seemingly lost in thought before speaking. "When we flew out of Raccoon City in the helicopter, the nuclear missile detonated. The shockwave sent us spiraling, and we crashed into the forest on the city's outskirts."

"Neither of us died, but we were both injured—so worse than others. Alice, though, was nowhere to be found. We had no choice but to leave. Terry had recorded the whole thing, so we decided to release the truth. Her video footage was uploaded online, and while Umbrella Corp tried to suppress the dia and public opinion, fragnts of the truth still spread across the internet."

"Not just Umbrella Corp, but the FBI was after us too. Eventually, I joined forces with Carlos and L.J. We infiltrated Umbrella, learned that Alice was in Detroit, and forged authorization papers to rescue her."

"But it didn't end there. Both the governnt and Umbrella continued hunting us down. To protect Alice, I took the videotape and holed up in a hotel on my own. That's when federal agents caught ."

"Then, the virus outbreak escalated. Umbrella realized they couldn't contain it anymore. Within three months, the virus had reached the White House and infected the governnt. The United States collapsed into chaos. I used the opportunity to escape custody."

"I fled to Baltimore and found a group of survivors. I led them to what I thought was safety, but now... they're all dead. As for Alice and Terry? I have no idea where they are or if they're even alive."

William nodded, his face somber. "I didn't expect so much to happen. Jill, you've been through hell."

Jill gave him a pointed look, her expression sardonic. "eting you was probably the worst thing to happen to in the last six months—and the most painful."

"That really hurts," William said, feigning heartbreak.

"Do you even have a heart?"

"Of course I do. It's all yours," William said, eting Jill's gaze.

Jill's eyes flared with irritation. "Say that again, and I'll rip your mouth off. And stop touching ! I'm not that kind of woman!"

William chuckled. "Habit, Jill. It's just a habit."

Jill sighed, exasperated. There was a helplessness in her eyes, as though she'd given up trying to deal with him. William was infuriating, yet sohow she still endured him.

Suddenly, a deafening roar echoed across the ocean. A massive wave, towering seventy to eighty ters high, rose violently into the sky. From within the spray, a monstrous maw—more than ten ters wide and lined with razor-sharp teeth—burst forth, lunging toward them.

In an instant, William vanished from his spot, reappearing a safe distance away, narrowly evading the creature's attack.

Jill stared in shock. "What the hell is that?"

A colossal "fish," about sixty ters long, crashed back into the sea, sending waves splashing dozens of ters into the air.

"It looks like a great white shark, but it's been infected with the T-virus," William remarked nonchalantly.

"A great white shark? How did it get this massive?" Jill asked, still stunned.

"Humans mutate when infected by the T-virus. Animals, including marine life, are no different. This great white shark is just one of many. By now, there are probably few uninfected creatures left in the ocean," William explained.

Jill shook her head, a heavy sadness weighing on her expression. "The Earth is dying. If this keeps up, there won't be any life left."

William snorted dismissively. "The Earth isn't dying. The T-virus doesn't harm the planet itself. If anything, it's just nature's way of exterminating humans."

Jill blinked, her voice incredulous. "You're saying the Earth is using the T-virus to wipe out humanity?"

Another deafening roar erupted as the mutant shark broke through the waves again, its enormous body hurtling toward William.

"It seems like it doesn't want to let us go," William said with a smirk.

"Let's get out of here!" Jill shouted.

"Leave? For a creature bold enough to attack ? That would be disgraceful," William sneered. His pupils glowed, and three sharp blades of wind ford around him.

With a powerful motion, a visible surge of energy rippled through the air, slicing toward the shark.

The mutant shark let out a guttural scream as dark, thick blood erupted from its body, splattering across the water's surface. The air blade struck its head with deadly precision, cleaving through flesh like a giant guillotine.
