Intending to allow Alice to rember the previous tiline, Alister planned to wake Alice up.
Arriving at the living room, Alister saw Alice being taken care of by Lynn as Lynn placed the unconscious Alice on the sofa.
"Lynn, I can take it from here," Alister assured Lynn as he walked towards Alice, placing his hand on Alice's forehead.
Afterward, Alister used his mind power to forcefully awaken Alice, causing Alice's eyes to open groggily.
When Alice opened her eyes, she saw Alister's figure which caused her to subconsciously mutter, "Bro-brother?"
Seeing Alister in front of her, Alice was confused as the last mory she had was being kidnapped by n in black masks whose faces she couldn't see. Afterward, she found herself locked up inside a cage yet her mory seed to end there.
She didn't know what happened after she was locked up in a cage nor how she had found herself near her brother and an unknown girl.
"Yes, I'm your brother. Who else can I be?"
Alister reassured Alice of his identity as he patted her head to calm her down.
'It seems that Alice didn't know that she was sold by our father but instead, she only knew that she was kidnapped by those n in black masks.'
'Well, this would be a problem as I can't justify raising her and letting her forget about our parents. So I can only take a gamble and use my Rember talent in hopes of recovering the mory she had in the previous tiline.'
After making his decision, Alister used his Rember (Blue) talent towards Alice.
A second later, Alister noticed that Alice seed to be in a daze as she was processing the mory she had recovered.
A hint of clarity flashed in Alice's eyes as she gazed at Alister in front of her. "Brother?"
"Yes, I'm your brother. Who else can I be?"
Alister replied monotonously as he had already expected Alice to question that again.
Hearing Alister's voice, Alice knew that the four-year-old boy in front of her was indeed her brother. After all, she still rembered that this was what her brother had looked like when her brother was four years old.
However, Alice was confused as from what she had rembered, she was killed by her brother. But the mories in her body were that she was just recently kidnapped and it was her brother who had saved her.
Although she had a loss of mory during the ti she was controlled by Alister using the mind seed, Alice could still deduce that it was her brother who saved her from those kidnappers.
After all, she knew that it was her brother who had recovered her mory which could only an that her brother still had retained so of his power, if not his full power.
"Brother, did you turn back ti to our childhood? Is it to prevent from being abducted and sold to the Cloud Sect?" Alice asked Alister as she awaited his response.
"You can indeed say I turn back ti, but also not. Anyway, it's complicated so just know that this isn't a dream but a reality. And yes, it is to prevent your abduction since I have already known the truth of your disappearance."
Alister answered Alice's question truthfully.
He wasn't lying when he said that he had turned back ti to their childhood just to prevent her abduction. After all, there wasn't any need for him to go back in ti this long aside from that.
Even just starting on the first day of the apocalypse was more than enough to deal with Yun Ren since Yun Ren wasn't that powerful aside from his zombie virus negation wave which no longer worked against him.
If not for wanting to make it up to Alice for ruthlessly killing her, Alister wouldn't have traveled back in ti this early. He could have started the full-dive simulation at the start of the apocalypse yet he didn't and it was all due to Alice.
Dealing with Yun Ren this early was only secondary since preventing Alice's abduction was his main objective.
After Alister answered Alice's question, he asked her a question out of confusion, "I have killed you before and you should have known about it since I have recovered your mory. Yet why don't you hate for it?"
When Alice heard Alister's question, she imdiately replied, "I lost hope when I was abducted by the Cloud Sect and was tortured by them during their experints."
"I have endured all of those just to et you and mother again since the two of you were the only ones who hadn't abandoned , unlike father. However, our mother was also killed by the Cloud Sect along with our father."
"Because of that, I could only keep on living for the sake of eting you again. I don't even know what got into why I was desperate to et you again. Was it perhaps out of giving myself a reason to keep on living?"
"It seems that was also the reason why the Cloud Sect didn't kill you and only killed our parents instead. It was to prevent from committing suicide by giving hope that I could still et my family as long as I survived the experint."
"However, the Cloud Sect hasn't given any pictures of you so when I had t you before, I wasn't certain that you were my brother as it was possible to have soone who possibly looked similar to you. Not to ntion, I couldn't see your face up close at that ti so I wasn't certain that it was you."
"It was only when we fought with each other that I felt that it was wrong for us to fight each other. As if fighting you wasn't what I should have done. It was only at that ti that I realized that you were my brother but it was already too late since you were adamant in killing ."
In response to Alice's words, Alister shrugged, "At least that wasn't the worst outco. I an, what if I was lecherous enough and accepted your offer of being my servant? What if I had sex with you? Wouldn't that be a bigger problem?"
