Using his absolute mind superpower, Alister could detect that the old man wasn't lying to him.
The old man had sincerely sworn his fealty towards him and because of that, Alister didn't hesitate to transfer the top-grade star artifact to the old man.
The top-grade star artifact that he had given to the old man was an inferior version of the Holy Armor that the Grand Priest possessed. It was none other than the Sacred Armor and it was the top-grade star artifact that the Third Priest in the Constellation Palace had as their star artifact.
Transferring the mories regarding the usage of the Sacred Armor that the Third Priest had, the old man didn't have to learn to use it from the start and imdiately beca a master in using it.
A surge of astral energy entered the body of the old man and the ager mana inside the old man's body was devoured by the astral energy. Afterward, due to Alister's manipulation of the astral energy, star pathways were constructed inside the old man's body.
The old man was just an ordinary human who had a 1-star talent but no superpower. Because of that, it was a lot easier for Alister to pass on the power system of the Martial Arts Fantasy World to the old man without causing any conflict in the old man's body.
The astral energy inside the old man's star pathways started to temper the body of the old man as well as increase his star cultivation base. Eventually, the old man exuded a powerful aura that was befitting of a powerhouse at Level 99 Revered Constellation!
As if that wasn't enough, Alister also transferred so of his zombie virus towards the old man's body and used that to awaken a superpower for the old man's usage.
The superpower that the old man had awakened was "Power Boost". It allowed the old man to have an all-around increase in all of his attributes, whether it was defense, speed, recovery, etc.
However, unlike Alister and Lynn's physical augntation superpower that could completely control on which attribute to focus on being increased, the old man's power boost could only increase all attributes but could not focus on a certain attribute.
It was like in a ga when a player gained stat points, the old man could only allocate his stat points equally to all stats, unlike Alister and Lynn who could freely choose which stats to increase.
Nevertheless, it was still a powerful superpower since the old man's Sacred Armor star artifact relied more on physical combat so a superpower that increased the power of his body was highly needed.
The old man beca a Level 99 Revered Constellation powerhouse or a Transcendent Emperor. Even in this world, he was the top powerhouse that was even above those principals in prestigious schools and only a Transcendent Saint was above him.
Most of the Transcendent Emperors from the human race were mostly on the battlefield, defending humanity from most of the threats from those monsters.
Only those monsters who managed to slip past their defenses would be able to invade the human world.
The Transcendent Emperors that stayed in the human world could be counted in one's hand and were only in singular digits. The old man who recently awakened directly to Transcendent Emperor was included in those statistics.
After the old man familiarized the power surging in his body, the old man clenched his fist and felt that he had beco younger and would live longer than he had expected.
Of course, that feeling wasn't false since the old man's lifespan had increased due to becoming more powerful. Although the increase in lifespan didn't make the old man younger in appearance, he no longer felt as sluggish as before.
"Thank you, my lord! I, Bruce Weignn, swear that I will follow and heed your every command!"
After tasting power and being given another chance to live, the old man Bruce was true to his words and didn't have any plans nor thoughts of going against Alister.
Bruce had already expected that his death was near so he could think of this as his life being reborn anew. He had already experienced a lot in his life so he didn't have many lingering attachnts especially when his wife had already left him behind and had ascended earlier to the afterlife.
Hearing Bruce's oath, Alister was delighted and patted Bruce's shoulder, "You don't have to be that stiff. You can live the life you want but just complete the tasks that I will assign to you from ti to ti. Other than that, you can use the power that I have bestowed to you for whatever you want as long as it doesn't negatively affect ."
Alister added, "If you want to save unfortunate souls such as yourself and that young boy over there, I won't stop you. But rember to never let yourself be taken advantage of by others since the power I have bestowed you is for my sake and your sake."
"Bruce, you are already old and experienced so you should know what I ant. After all, this world is darker than it should have been."
Sighing, Alister used his sword intent again to kill the goblins and orcs that kept on being released from the dinsional gate.
"My lord, can I attack those monsters? I want to test the power that you have bestowed on ."
Hearing Bruce's question, Alister didn't reject it and nodded in agreent. It was in his best interest that Bruce would deal with the monster invasions so that Bruce could accumulate fa and reputation as a Transcendent Emperor.
Donning the Sacred Armor on his body, Bruce created a holy energy sword and dashed toward the orcs and goblins!
