(Important, must order) The wedding ceremony of the Yan tribe hardly has any fixed rituals.
No need to say “I do” or speak of willingness to marry.
Even bowing to the ancestors is not required; the only real ceremonial act is to entwine the couple with a fine black cord in front of the Sea God’s sculpture, signifying that from now on their destinies are bound together.
This ritual is called Poseidon’s Entwine.

Suo Lun and Yan Xue’er ca to the center of the great hall, which had already been cleared out, with over a hundred Rock Pirate leaders watching them.
The Yan Queen smiled and sat on the throne above, witnessing the wedding.
As the wedding’s presiding officer, Yan Mo walked to the center of the great hall, in front of Suo Lun and Yan Xue’er.
He glanced at his sister, not having the heart to make things difficult for her, so all the fire that followed could only be borne by Suo Lun.
Looking at his ill-intentioned gaze, Suo Lun felt a series of shivers down his scalp.
Suo Lun thought of Earth’s vulgar wedding pranks, and now, amidst a pirates’ den, the pranking could only be worse.
He truly didn’t know how his half-brother would tornt him!
“Shen Lang, what do you think is the most important quality for a man?” Yan Mo said.
Suo Lun replied, “Strength!”
“Right, strength!” Yan Mo said.

“Enough!” Suo Lun said and then secretly breathed a sigh of relief; this first trial wasn’t too vulgar after all.
“Stretch out your right hand,” Yan Mo ordered.
Suo Lun extended his right hand, holding it steady and still.
“Have your woman sit on your fingers and present a toast to each Island Master without spilling a single drop of wine,” Yan Mo said.
“She can only sit on your fingers, not more than half a palm.”
With the help of several Yan won, Princess Yan Xue was made to sit on Suo Lun’s outstretched half-palm.
Then, with outstretched arm, he carried Yan Xue to present a toast to each Island Master, without letting a single drop fall.
At first, Suo Lun was able to hold up, but by the end, his whole palm was almost breaking.
If one’s martial skills were not enough, they wouldn’t even be able to get married.
After a full quarter of an hour, Suo Lun finally managed to let Yan Xue walk on the back of his half-hand and completed all the toasts.
He gained the recognition and blessings of all the Island Masters.
The first trial was complete.
“Shen Lang, besides strength, what else is essential for a man?” Yan Mo asked.
“Wisdom,” Suo Lun replied.
“Right, wisdom!
Even in darkness, a man should know his direction and lead his woman towards the light,” Yan Mo said.
Suo Lun was taken aback; what kind of tactics was going to tornt him this ti?
“Xiaoxue’er, ride on your man’s neck,” Yan Mo directed.
This was the first ti he had asked Princess Yan Xue to do sothing.
Imdiately a few Yan won lifted a giggling Yan Xue onto Suo Lun’s neck, making sure to drape her sheer skirt over his head.
Yan Mo said, “Shen Lang, next you must close your eyes.
Of course, even if you opened them, no one would know, only the Sea God would.
If you open your eyes, it ans dishonesty, it ans blaspheming against the Sea God.”
Suo Lun imdiately shut his eyes tightly; darkness fell before him, and he could only sll a faint fragrance.
Yan Mo said, “Princess Xiaoxue, even though you are to marry a man from the Human Kingdom, our Yan tribe rule is such that a Yan woman can marry anyone she wishes.”
Princess Yan Xue blushed to the point of redness, sowhat understanding as she nodded her head.
“But my sister, you must learn to command your man,” Yan Mo continued.
Completely clueless, Princess Yan Xue’s cheeks turned even redder with embarrassnt, and she helplessly looked towards her beloved mother for help.
The Yan Queen simply gave her a gentle smile.
Yan Mo said, “Next, with your man blindfolded and completely unaware of his surroundings, you need to direct him.
You cannot speak or use your hands, but must use your legs to signal left or right.
Then, present a toast to each Island Master.
If everyone is content and agrees, this trial will be considered passed.”
“Do you understand, my precious sister?” Yan Mo asked.
Yan Xue nodded her head; she found the idea quite interesting.
This indeed showed Yan Mo’s concern; he did not want his sister to be bullied, so he had her sit atop Suo Lun’s head to direct him.
Next, Yan Xue enjoyed himself imnsely, using her legs to grip Suo Lun’s neck, steering him left or right.
The two were in perfect sync; although Suo Lun could see nothing, under the Princess’s guidance, every move was precise.
They presented a toast to every Island Master in attendance with pinpoint accuracy.
And then, they received the acknowledgnt and blessings from everyone.
Ordinarily during the rites, these Island Masters would tornt the bride rcilessly, and if things got out of hand, they might even demand toasting with the cup held by mouth or even clamped between the breasts.
