Because the Winged Tribespeople flew too fast and too high, and could fly themselves without needing a mount. This was problematic because in every air battle, they would first attack your flying mounts. The flying knights of the Motuo Empire could be very powerful, but the flying mounts could not be trained to be as strong. Once they lost their flying mounts, no matter how strong the knights were, they were helpless.
To deal with the Winged Tribe, the Motuo Empire cultivated the Winged Serpent Demon Legion and the Flying Corpse Ghost Legion through evil thods.
