World Domination Begins With Getting a System in a Modern World Chapter 96: Meeting With The Private Investigator
The next morning, after taking his bath and putting on so clothes, Jas stood in front of the wall mirror in the bathroom, casually examining his reflection.
He hadn’t had the chance to properly check himself out yesterday. He was too occupied due to the flight, and by the ti they got ho, exhaustion had wiped away any thought of it.
But after a full night’s rest behind him, he finally had the chance to see the changes to his physical appearance from the increase in his Charisma stat.
Jas studied his reflection carefully. He noticed that though there wasn’t a dramatic change, there was still see clear improvents.
His skin looked different than before. It had always been good, but now it almost seed to glow faintly under the bathroom light, like he’d just co back from a high-end spa treatnt. It looks flawless, without a single blemish or uneven tone.
His hair had darkened slightly, a richer, deeper shade of black with a subtle glossiness that made it look like he used expensive products.
And then there were his eyes. His already distinct eye color seed brighter, sharper, as if soone turned the saturation dial up by ten percent. They almost looked unreal. It was like he was wearing colored contacts but it was all natural.
Jas couldn’t help but grin. It was now he understood why Patty and Leslie were teasing him about putting on make-up.
"Not bad at all," he muttered, flashing a proud smile at his reflection before turning away.
He left the bathroom and grabbed his phone and the key fob to his Gera off the bedside table, and left his room, heading downstairs toward the kitchen.
As expected, Patty was already busy in the kitchen, making breakfast. The mouthwatering aroma of eggs, sausages, and sothing sweet — maybe pancakes — wafted through the air, instantly making Jas’ stomach growl.
Leslie was also helping out, as she was mixing sothing in a bowl with a focused expression, looking like she was either deeply concentrating or plotting to burn the kitchen down by accident.
"Good morning, Patty. How was your night?" he greeted warmly, walking up to her and giving her a quick peck on the cheek.
"Good morning, sweetheart. My night was wonderful. What about yours?" Patty replied, smiling brightly.
"It was great," Jas said with a small smile, and glanced over at Leslie.
Leslie caught his look and imdiately pulled a face at him — a mixture of confusion and mock disgust — like she couldn’t believe how cheesy he was acting so early in the morning.
Jas smiled and threw the look back at her without hesitation before walking out of the kitchen, and making his way to the living area.
He flopped down onto a couch, unlocked his phone, and started scrolling through ssages and random nonsense short videos, while waiting for breakfast to be ready.
A few minutes later, Leslie’s voice called out from the dining table.
"Breakfast’s ready!"
Jas set his phone down and walked over, taking his seat at the dining table. His eyes widened slightly at the spread laid out before him — eggs, sausages, pancakes, croissants, fresh fruit, and a pitcher of fresh orange juice.
"Nice," he said with a grin, as he picked up his fork, and he dug in imdiately, eating with gusto.
In the middle of his al, Jas suddenly rembered sothing.
"Patty, I’m yet to pay Mr. Harrington his fee. Can you please contact him and ask him how much it is?" he asked between mouthfuls of food.
Patty wiped her hands on a towel and turned to him.
"About that, he already told how much it is," she replied casually.
Jas paused, lifting an eyebrow.
"How much?" he asked, still chewing.
"$375,000. And I have his account details," she said.
Jas nodded as he continued eating his food. The amount sounds like a hefty sum, sure, but considering the importance of what Mr. Harrington and his team had done — setting up the trust, handling sensitive legal matters, and making sure everything was airtight — it was more than worth it.
And besides, spending a few hundred thousand dollars barely registered on Jas’ radar anymore.
"Good. I’ll wire it after I’m done here," he said, shoveling more food into his mouth.
They continued eating in a comfortable silence, occasionally interrupted by small talk and Leslie’s sarcastic comnts about Jas’ "model skin."

A little while later, breakfast was done.
Jas stood up, gave Patty a grateful peck on the cheek, and grabbed his phone and key fob. He collected Mr Harrington’s account details and started walking to the door.
"I’ll be going to Ralph’s," he said, as he headed toward the front door.
"Okay, honey. Have fun," Patty called back with a wave.
Jas smiled and stepped outside, breathing in the fresh morning air. He made his way down the driveway to the garage, where his cars were parked neatly inside.
He walked straight to the Koenigsegg Gera, unlocking it with a quick press of the fob. The car chirped softly in response and Jas opened the door, and got in.
He pressed the start button, and the Gera ca to life with a smooth, powerful rumble. The garage door opened slowly, bathing the car in soft sunlight.
Jas guided the Gera out of the garage and down the driveway. As he approached the gate, the massive, iron-wrought gate parted silently, allowing him to drive out onto the clean streets of Bel Air.
The drive was smooth, the car effortlessly eating up the road. Jas leaned back in his seat, enjoying the powerful yet luxurious feel of the Gera.
Right now, he wasn’t driving straight to Ralph’s house as he had told Patty. First, he had a eting to attend.
He was currently making his way to the eting location with Gregor. The eting location was the sa café where they had their first eting.
Jas was very curious to see the damning information that Gregor has on the McCullens. He hopes that it’s sothing very solid as he want to imdiately start taking actions against the family.
"Just wait, Brian. Your nightmare is only just beginning," Jas grinned, driving down the road of Los Angeles.
