World Domination Begins With Getting a System in a Modern World Chapter 70: A Deal Between Brothers
After everyone had finished eating, the atmosphere at the tablenwas filled with satisfied murmurs and complints about the al.
The rich aroma of spices still lingered in the air, and there was a comforting sense of fullness that made everyone sink a little deeper into their chairs.
Patty, ever the gracious host, smiled warmly as she wiped her hands on a dish towel.
"I’m glad you all enjoyed it," she said, her tone filled with motherly affection and satisfaction.
Leslie stretched lazily, letting out a dramatic sigh.
"I know I’ve said this before but Mom, I swear, you could open a five-star restaurant and still not get enough credit for your cooking."
Natasha nodded in agreent. "Honestly, Mrs Patty, that was probably the best al I’ve had in months."
The rest of the girls chid in with their own praises, and Patty laughed lightly, shaking her head.
"Oh, stop it, you girls. You’re going to make blush."
Jas, who had been quietly enjoying the mont, smirked and leaned over, placing a quick peck on Patty’s cheek.
"Thanks for the al, Patty. You really outdid yourself."
Patty smiled warmly at him. "You’re welco, sweetheart."
Leslie, who had been watching the exchange, suddenly pouted.
"See? This is what I an! Jas always thanks Mom for every al, but he never thanks when I help!"
Jas gave her a flat look. "Because you don’t help."
The table burst into laughter as Leslie clutched her chest dramatically.
"Ouch. The disrespect."
Patty chuckled and playfully ruffled her daughter’s hair slightly.
"Well, you can start by helping with the dishes."
Leslie groaned but stood up anyway, and the rest of the girls followed suit, gathering the plates and silverware.
Jas, knowing better than to get involved in "kitchen politics," stood up and stretched before turning to Ralph.
"Co on. Let’s check out the billiard room."
Ralph perked up at the suggestion. "Oh, hell yeah."
The two of them left the dining area as the girls busied themselves clearing the table, their conversation shifting to gossip, jokes, and lighthearted chatter
***
The billiard room had an air of elegance, with its sleek mahogany pool table, polished oak floors, and the soft glow of dimly lit sconces casting long shadows against the dark-paneled walls.
A well-stocked bar stretched along the far side of the room, shelves lined with top-shelf liquor and aged whiskey, though Jas had little interest in drinking at the mont.
As Ralph stepped inside, his eyes swept over the room, filled with a mixture of admiration and sheer disbelief.
"Damn, Jas. Your place just keeps surprising . First, a freaking mansion, now a whole-ass billiard room? What’s next? A private theater?"
Jas smirked as he walked over to the bar, casually inspecting the bottles.
"Actually," he said with a chuckle, "there is a private theater."
Ralph groaned, shaking his head. "Of course there is. Why wouldn’t there be?"
He picked up a cue stick and gave it a few experintal swings, running his fingers along the smooth wood.
anwhile, Jas busied himself setting up the ga, arranging the balls in a tight triangle formation on the felt-covered table.
As Jas grabbed a cue stick, he turned to Ralph, his expression shifting into sothing more serious.
"Do you drink?" Jas asked.
Ralph didn’t hesitate. "Nah, man. Alcohol’s not my thing."
Jas nodded, already expecting that answer. He placed the bottle back on the shelf and leaned against the bar.
"Good. I don’t either."
Ralph arched an eyebrow. "Then why the hell do you have a bar?"
Jas smirked. "For guests. Never know when you might need to entertain soone important. Besides everything ca with the place."
Ralph let out a low whistle, impressed by the foresight. "Damn, you really are playing this billionaire lifestyle to the max, huh?"
Jas simply chuckled and handed Ralph the chalk to dust his cue stick.
"Alright," Ralph said, adjusting his stance. "I know you didn’t bring here just to play pool. What’s on your mind?"
Jas leaned against the table, his fingers absently tapping against the cue stick as he collected his thoughts.
"Rember when I told you that I was setting up an offshore trust holding company?" he asked.
Ralph nodded, lining up his first shot.
"Yeah. I actually looked into it after you ntioned it. And man... that’s so next-level wealth-building shit. But are you really going through with it?"
Jas took a slow breath, watching as Ralph took his shot. The balls scattered across the table, one striped ball sinking into a corner pocket.
"I’m going through with it," Jas confird. "I’ve already hired the lawyers. Everything’s in motion."
Ralph leaned on his cue stick, watching Jas closely.
"Damn. You’re really serious about this, huh?"
Jas t his gaze, his expression unwavering.
"Ralph, you already know I’m not stopping here. Yeah, I’ve got over a hundred million sitting in my account. Most people would retire on that kind of money." He paused, gripping his cue stick a little tighter. "But I want more."
Ralph’s brows furrowed as he digested Jas’ words. Then, his eyes widened slightly as sothing clicked.
"Wait... back up." He straightened up, his grip tightening on the cue stick. "Did you just say you have over a hundred million?"
Jas gave a slow nod. "Yeah."
Ralph’s mind started racing. "No, no, no. Hold up. Wait a minute. That doesn’t make sense. You told you made $96.9 million trading Vader in spot trading, right?"
Jas nodded again, waiting for Ralph to catch up.
Ralph started pacing, counting on his fingers.
"Okay, so let’s do the math. You bought this mansion—$12.5 million. The Koenigsegg—$1.7 million. You bought that Range Rover for her mom, you’ve been spending like crazy... There’s no way you should still have a hundred million left. That math ain’t mathing, bro."
Ralph knew that with the Jas purchase of the mansion, the hypercar, the Range Rover, his daily expenses. Even if Jas had made nearly $100 million, after all these purchases, his balance should be much lower. But he still had over a hundred million left? That didn’t make sense.
He narrowed his eyes at Jas, his voice dropping a little lower.
"What are you not telling ?"
Jas chuckled softly. He expected this reaction. He wanted this reaction.
To Jas, Ralph wasn’t just a business partner — he was family. The two of them had been through too much together for there to be any distrust between them.
He had left $600,000 in Ralph’s hands without a second thought when they started the coin project. He had trusted Ralph to handle every aspect of the project without interference.
And Ralph had delivered.
But even with that level of trust, Jas knew he still couldn’t tell him about the system, as he didn’t feel that the ti is right.
He sighed and lined up his own shot, taking aim before sinking a solid-colored ball into the corner pocket. Then, without looking up, he spoke.
"Ralph... I know you have questions. And I know things don’t add up. But I need you to trust ."
Ralph folded his arms. "I do trust you. But I also know you, Jas. And I know when you’re keeping sothing from ."
Jas smiled slightly, but there was sothing distant in his eyes.
"Just know that everything I’m doing is legal. I wouldn’t be stupid enough to get involved in anything illegal. And as for the money... let’s just say I have my ways."
Ralph studied him for a long mont, then exhaled deeply, running a hand over his face.
"Damn it, man. You’re lucky I know you well enough to believe that."
Then, he smirked. "Because if it were anyone else, I’d be calling the Feds right now."
Jas burst out laughing. "What, you think I’m so secret cri lord or sothing?"
Ralph shrugged, grinning. "I an, with the way you’re making money? It wouldn’t be that far-fetched."
Jas shook his head in amusent, then extended his hand.
"Let’s just focus on making more money together."
Ralph stared at Jas’ outstretched hand for a mont, then let out a low chuckle before gripping it firmly.
"To making more money."
The handshake was more than just a deal. It was an unspoken agreent. It was a bond of trust between two brothers to achieve everything they can achieve — together.
After a beat, Ralph smirked. "Alright, now let’s see if your skills in pool are as sharp as your skills in making money."
Jas smirked back. "Prepare to lose."
As they continued their ga, the heavy conversation faded, replaced by the familiar banter of two friends who had already conquered so much together and are ready to continue conquering.
