World Domination Begins With Getting a System in a Modern World Chapter 16: Outrageous Unlock Requirement

After his discussion with Ralph, Jas decided to go ho. He would love to stay and chat with Ralph, but there's sothing important he has to do, and so does Ralph.

Ralph has to start his research on the business idea he brought up, and Jas has the system store to check.

The day was flying by quite quickly as it was already noon when he got back ho. He noticed that the house was exactly as he left it. Empty.

He brought out his phone and checked the ti and he saw that it was already past 1.

"Maybe she finally got herself a job." Jas smiled. "Hopefully she did."

Since Leslie wasn't back by now from her job hunt, Jas felt that she hasn't gotten a job and resud work imdiately.

Jas decided to stop thinking about Leslie, as he took his seat on the sofa and called up his info screen.

Jas couldn't help but nod his head in satisfaction when he saw the changes to his networth and the amount in his second account balance (bank account).

No matter how many tis he saw the amount in his bank account, he still can't believe that it's real.

Just two days ago, he had less than $700 in his account, but in just less than 72 hours, it has increased to a whopping $38,000!

"It seems like all the bad things I've experienced in life and my extensive run of bad luck was saving up all my luck for this." He smiled foolishly.

Jas allowed himself to feel genuine happy.

The system has changed his life and it will continue to do. Jas will make sure of that as he plans to exploit the system to the fullest to his benefit.

Jas wasn't worried about the legality of the money from the system as it has assured him. And he rest easy as he also believes that the system is on his side.

Well, it's not like he had any other choice anyways. He felt that if the system and the rebate was just soone's elaborate plan to use him for sothing, then the person is really putting in a lot of efforts.

Pushing aside the stray thoughts, Jas turned his attention back to his Info Screen.

"I was initially thinking of exchanging $10k for so system points but I forgot that 1 system point is $1M. And since I need 10,000 system points to unlock the system store. Which ans I need $10B to unlock the system store!"

"What the f*ck?! $10B?! There has to be another way to go about it. Where the fuck do they expect to get such amount of money from?!"

Jas couldn't believe it. He had never really thought much about the system store as his mind has been focused on improving his financial situation.

It was now that he finally realised just how outrageous the system store unlock requirent is.

$10B?! That's an amount that even Elon wouldn't dare spend casually!

Yes, the system store might hold so goodies that makes the amount worth it. Also it's not like the System Points will disappear after the system store has been unlocked as it will still be there.

But Jas was finding it very hard, very difficult to even think about how he's going to co up with such an amount of money.

"There has to be another way. There has to be. I got 30 SP from completing the first mission. I'm very sure that other missions will reward system but the amount of SP might depend on the difficulty level of the mission.

If I get a mission with a higher difficulty level than the previous, I might get more SP as reward," Jas thought to himself, and nodded in agreent to his own thought.

Jas felt that without getting more SP as reward from missions, the only way he can get such amount of money is by robbing a bank or marrying a billionaire sugar mummy.

But he knew that neither of the two options would help him at all and he quickly snapped back to reality.

"Wow. 10,000 SP. $10B. Even with rebate, it will take a very long ti—if not ages—to get that amount," Jas said, shaking his head.

"If it costs $10B just to open, what the hell's inside? World domination kits? Instant genius pills? Dreadnought class battleships?"

Seeing that he can't do anything about the system store, he turned his attention to the next thing, which is using the system points he has to exchange for stat points.

It had already been explained to him how he can interact with the system interface, and he did so imdiately.

"Exchange 30 System Points for stat points."

Imdiately, the exchange was completed and his 30 SP disappeared, but in the stat points column, 3 stat points appeared.

"Tsk. The system is quite expensive. 30 SP, an equivalent of $30 million can only get 3 stat points." Jas said, shaking his head.

He felt that his head might fall off from all the shaking, but it couldn't be helped. He felt that the system was giving him money, only to collect it back from him through the system store. But it wasn't exactly a bad thing.

"Just unlocking it is so expensive. I'm scared of even imagining how expensive the contents inside will be." He smiled wryly.

Jas didn't brood on things that he has no control over as he imdiately put the 3 stat points to use.

He allocated 1 stat point each to his Strength, Agility and Intelligence. To him and from the system's explanation on each what stat does, these three are the most important to him. Charisma is also useful but not as important as the first three.

Imdiately after he allocated the stat points, Jas checked himself and felt his body for any changes but he got nothing.

Apart from a very vague feeling of warmth that briefly filled his body and disappeared like it was never there, he felt nothing else.

His body felt no difference from before and he knew that the reason for this is because he only added 1 stat point to each of his stat.

Even though he felt no obvious changes, Jas knew that he has improved. His Strength stat was now at the max of an average person. While his Agility and his Intelligence stat were just 1 stat point each away.

Jas smiled as he envision the ti in the future when he might be strong enough to lift a tank easily. And that is a very big might.

"For now, I will go back to my martingale. Ti to increase that $2k to at least $5k."
