World Domination Begins With Getting a System in a Modern World Chapter 126: Practicing Golfing
The next morning, soft rays of sunlight crept through the windows of Jas’ room, casting a golden hue over the walls and bed.
Jas stirred slightly beneath the covers, his body still a little heavy from sleep. With a small groan, he reached out blindly for his phone on the nightstand.
The mont the screen lit up, his grogginess vanished as he saw that he got a text ssage from Natasha.
"Good morning, my Jas 😍😍🥰🥰❤️❤️💓💞💗💕😘😘"
Jas stared at the ssage for a mont. The emojis were playful and a little chaotic, but they carried a genuine warmth that sank straight into his chest.
A soft smile blood across his face, and he chuckled to himself.
"She’s sweet," he muttered to himself, as he tapped out a reply with sleepy fingers:
"Good morning, Nat. 💓
I hope you slept well."
Just seconds after hitting send, his phone buzzed again.
Natasha had replied imdiately:
"I slept great. You must’ve slipped into my dreams, because I woke up smiling like crazy. Have a nice day, my heartthrob 😘🥰."
Jas stared at the ssage, his smile deepening. His chest ward up, but not in a fiery way, like lust or desire. But in a soft, glowing way, like comfort and belonging.
He ran his thumb lightly over the screen, then typed out a final reply:
"You too, Nat. Light the world up with your beauty and lovely smiles today 💓🌹."
After sending the ssage, he dropped the phone gently onto the bed and sat up, stretching with a long yawn.
He never thought that such cheesy words would co from him so day. But what can he say? Love make people do things they never thought possible.
He smiled foolishly as he ran a hand through his ssy hair and made his way to the bathroom.
He will be eting with Mr Donovan by 2pm today at Beverly Hills Country Club, and he has to start making preparations after breakfast.
He will also be leaving early and make sure he arrived earlier than the eting ti. And he feels that thirty minutes is good enough.
After he was done taking his bath and drying himself up, he put in so casual clothes.
His outfit for the eting is his golf attire, and he will put it on when he’s about to leave.
He walked to the door and opened it, and he saw Leslie standing there, smiling.
When she saw him, she smiled and hugged him tightly and she enveloped his lips in a deep kiss.
Jas hugged and kissed her back.
A couple of seconds later, they pulled away and Leslie giggled.
"That was a hell of a greeting," Jas smiled after pulling away.
Hearing what Jas said, Leslie smiled shyly, and quickly buried her red face in Jas’ chest.
Jas smiled and caressed her hair. They stayed like that for a few seconds, before Leslie pulled away, stole a quick kiss from his lips and rushed downstairs.
Jas smiled and shook his head when he saw Leslie’s action. And he made his way downstairs.
As he made his way downstairs, the familiar mouthwatering aroma of Patty’s cooking rushed into his nose, causing his stomach to grumble.
When he got to the kitchen, he saw that they were already done making breakfast and were now setting the table.
He smiled as he walked to Patty and gave her a quick peck.
"Good morning, Patty. How was your night," he greeted.
"Good morning, honey. My night was wonderful. How was yours?" Patty greeted back.
"Excellent," Jas replied, as he took his seat at the dining table.
A few minutes later, Patty and Leslie were done setting the table, and the three of them started eating.
They ate their breakfast in silence, but the atmosphere was warm and filled with emotions.
After Jas was done eating, he thanked Patty, giving her a quick peck on the cheek, before going to his room.
He wants to start making preparations for his eting with Mr Donovan. And by preparations, he ant by going on YouTube, watching tutorials on how to play golf.
The reason why he wants to do this is beco familiar with the sport and build a foundation in it. As it is, he hasn’t swung a golf in his life and he has no idea on how to properly hold a golf club.
Heck! He had no idea that there are different types of gold clubs. If it wasn’t for Mr Chris, who helped him to pick out his full set, he wouldn’t had known which to pick.
Jas walked into his room and quietly shut the door behind him. He walked over to the wardrobe and pulled out the golf bag that contained his full set of clubs — sleek, shiny, and almost untouched.
He unzipped the bag slowly and pulled out one of the golf clubs, gripping it tightly in his hands.
He walked to the center of the room, where there was quite a bit of space, and propped his phone up nearby.
With a few taps, he opened YouTube and searched for beginner golf tutorials. The screen ca alive with calm-voiced instructors, demonstrating grip techniques, swing posture, and foot positioning.
Jas studied every movent closely, eyes narrowed in focus. He tried to imitate what he saw — gripping the club, shifting his stance, practicing his swings.
The first few attempts were awkward. His stance was off, his grip too tight, his movent stiff. The club twisted wrong in his hand, and his imaginary shots were weak or too wild.
But Jas wasn’t the type to give up.
He watched more videos, slowed them down, and practiced again — this ti adjusting his feet, loosening his grip, paying attention to the rhythm and form instead of force.
With each swing, he felt himself improving.
What started as clumsy repetition beca smoother. His movents started to flow naturally. His shoulders relaxed, his timing sharpened, and the weight of the club began to feel like an extension of his arm.
For all he knew, he might be doing utter rubbish but this was better than nothing.
Before he knew it, ti slipped away — the sun outside his window had climbed high, and it was already past 1 PM.
Satisfied with his progress, Jas exhaled slowly, a light sheen of sweat on his forehead. He placed the club back into the golf bag and zipped it up.
He walked into the bathroom and took a long, refreshing shower. The water washed away the tension in his muscles, replacing it with calmness and sharp focus.
After drying off, he walked back into the room, opened his wardrobe again, and pulled out his full golf outfit — a tailored white polo shirt, sleek grey slacks, a slim leather belt, and a crisp cap. He threw them on piece by piece, then stepped in front of the mirror.
He adjusted his collar, tugged his sleeves, and straightened his cap. He looked perfect.
Satisfied with his look, he walked to the nightstand, picked up the Range Rover Autobiography key fob and his phone, and his golf bag on the floor, and stepped out of the room.
As he ca down the stairs, Patty and Leslie looked up from the living area and were surprised to see him fully dressed in golf attire, bag slung over his shoulder.
But they didn’t ask any questions — they only smiled warmly.
"Good luck, sweetheart," Patty said with a proud smile.
"All the best," Leslie added, her voice soft, eyes sparkling.
Jas nodded silently, a faint smile on his lips. He appreciated their quiet support.
He walked to the garage, stepped into the Range Rover, and started the engine. The deep, quiet purr of the SUV filled the space.
He backed out of the garage, the automatic gates swinging open smoothly ahead of him.
And just like that, he drove off — heading straight to Bel Air Country Club.
