World Domination Begins With Getting a System in a Modern World Chapter 104: Acquiring Knowledge

Jas stirred on his bed, opening his eyes and groaning softly.

"I love sleeps like this. Going to bed and waking up, feeling like yourself as light as a feather. It euphoric," he muttered, grinning.

It wasn’t just the fact that he slept well that made him to feel so good. The softness of the massive king-sized bed also contributed to how good he was feeling at the mont.

He lazily turned to grab his phone atop the bedside table. He picked it up and tapped the screen, causing it to lit up.

He looked at the digital ti displayed on his phone’s screen and his lightly hand fell back on the bed.

Jas was feeling very light at the mont, lazy and yet, filled with a lot of energy. Maybe it’s because if that’s the reason why he’s feeling lazy.

"More than two hours had passed and it’s almost ti for dinner," he muttered, as he turned on his bed again.

Jas was feeling lazy and not wanting to get up from bed, but needs to get up, as he need to go downstairs for dinner.

In contrast to how he was feeling and how his body didn’t want to exert itself, Jas imdiately jumped out of his bed when he rembered that dinner was almost ready.

There are things in this world that Jas can kill for and one of them amongst those topping the list, is Patty’s cooking.

Getting out of bed, Jas made his way downstairs. As he neared the living area, his nostrils were struck by the deliciously, familiar aroma of Patty’s cooking.

Janes smiled and was about to walk to the kitchen to check on her, when he saw Leslie walking towards him.

"Hey, I was about to co get you. Dinner’s ready," she said, and imdiately turned back to the dining area.

Jas nodded slightly and followed behind. Even though he ate before going to bed and had done nothing but sleep, he was already feeling hungry.

Was that normal? Jas has no idea but he doesn’t care.

He walked to the dining area and as he passed Patty, he gave her a quick peck.

"How was your sleep, honey?" Patty asked, with a warm smile.

"It was great," Jas replied, taking his seat.

He imdiately grabbed his fork and started eating his al. Cutting the beef and putting it inside his mouth, he couldn’t hold himself back from moaning, due to how amazing it tastes.

While Jas was busy enjoying his al, savouring the taste and stuffing his mouth, and stomach, he had no idea that Leslie was secretly stealing glances at him.

And Leslie also had no idea that her mom was also watching her and smiling secretly to herself.

Though Jas and Leslie had lived together since young and are so close that they can be called siblings, but they are nothing more than best of friends.

It’s for this reason that Jas has never called her mom and he has never called Leslie sister. From young, they have maintained their relationship at that.

But from Patty can see, it seems like things are going to start moving in another direction.

This wasn’t actually the first ti. This has been going on for a while now. If she rembered correctly, it started right before Jas graduated from high school.

Leslie started showing interest in him. It has been subtle so far as she hasn’t found the courage to advance things, but she has been making her move by making their play more intimate.

Though that hasn’t done anything to progress things between them, Leslie had been patient and not daring to rush things.

But today, Patty couldn’t help but notice sothing different about her. Though it was subtle and can almost be dismissed as nothing, but as a fellow woman, Patty could sense it. Leslie is jealous and she feels threatened.

Patty smiled as she continued to eat her al, her eyes darting between Jas and Leslie.

Jas had no idea of what was happening as he continued to stuff his face with food. He was enjoying the al too much to pay attention to anything else.

A couple of minutes later, he was fine with his al. He stood up, gave Patty another peck, thanking her for the al, before heading up to the study.

Leslie watched Jas leaved the dining area and she wanted to say sothing to him, but when she opened her mouth, no words ca out.

She sighed internally and continued eating her food slowly.

Walking into the study, he took his seat, placed his phone on the table and switched on his laptop, allowing it to boot.

Since for the next couple of days, he will free and with nothing to do, Jas decided to start learning everything he can about the corporate world and acquiring knowledge on the industry he’s going to go into.

Alina will be ready with her preparations on two days and Ralph will probably take a week or two, to finish his research. Which ans he will have at least a week to learn whatever he can learn and he can continue learning afterwards.

Also, due to the fact that he just woke up a couple of minutes ago, he wasn’t feeling sleepy, but full of energy.

"I wonder if there’s are already compiled and very advanced knowledge on things like AI, dicine, biotech and technology?" He thought to himself.

"It would be great if there are but I’m very sure that they will hella expensive," he laughed to himself.

Seeing that his laptop has finished booting, Jas inputed his password, unlocking it. He clicked on his browser and went to one of the website he saw before, and started reading through the information on it.

While reading, he rembered sothing. He promised to take Natasha out on a lunch or dinner date. Since he will free for the next two days at least, he felt that he should take her out tomorrow.

Making this decision, he picked up his phone and texted Natasha. He texted her the ti that he will pick her up tomorrow evening.

As for how Jas has Natasha’s number? Well, he’s had it since high school, even before she confessed to him. Though they haven’t talked much or chatted much.

Less than a second after he had sent the ssage, he got a reply back from her. She sent lots of hearts and kissing ssages, and happy loving smiling faces.

Jas could feel her emotions through the ssage and he smiled sweetly. He has no idea how things are going to go on their date but he hopes it goes well.

"I better get back to what I was doing," he said, as he turned his attention back to the laptop and continued reading.

As he did that, he decided to also pick the location for his date with Natasha tomorrow.
