Just sotis, like how a genius person does everything smoothly. He gets irritated when she cannot do those 'simple' techniques he instructs. By simple, she ant, not very easy.
Achis was the second strongest warrior in this world. He had the ability and capability to surpass the male lead, Lapil. The fact was, if he decided to do endeavors on the sea, he would win over Lapil's achievents. Since both of them were warriors, they lived their life to fight.
Nonetheless, Achis' goals in life and Lapil's were not similar at all. Achis wanted to beco a good ruler of his land, he may think of becoming a conqueror but what he wanted the most was to live gallantly on his turf. He doesn't want a single person in reign to suffer from hunger or violence. Lapil, on the other hand, had no desire for life until he t his female lead, Tala. But before they had a union, Lapil was a mangangayaw, he followed his father's footsteps in becoming a great conqueror because the Rajah ordered him to, not because he wanted to.
That would be the main reason why Yanarym thought that Achis would do a lot better. A person who doesn't have any drive to accomplish anything would get nowhere. A person who doesn't have consistency in work would fail. But what would be more important than the drive and the grit was the passion of what they do? If you weren't happy with what you do, what's the point?
"Give that." Achis extended his hand towards her and Yanarym placed the dagger on his palm. He did the stance and swayed the dagger efficiently.
Yanarym couldn't help but admire him. She made the right choice by taking advantage of him.
"Like this, you have to move your arms away from this side. Also, your feet, the footwork I taught you, have you forgotten it already? Don't idle to one spot, move your feet." He lectured her with a straight face.
"Okay, master!" She nods energetically with a blithe smile and hangs her hand to his face to give back her dagger.
Achis gaped at her enthusiastic visage, shifted to her wounded palm that was bandaged by fabric and herbals. He sighed and handed over the weapon.
"Stop saying okay and don't call master."
"But I told you, okay is a term for complying while the master is what you call your teacher. I am your disciple and you are my master. The student, and the teacher." She said slowly pointing to herself as the student and to him as the master.
As usual, Achis frowned in response to her slick-smooth talking. Another one of her rhetoric's that he can't even reply to.
"Where did you even learn those words?" He whispered under his nose and made sure that she wouldn't be able to hear it or else, an argunt would be raging on again.
This woman had never known the word enough or surrendered. She will never back down on insisting on her thoughts and defending her stance. Well, sotis she does give in. However, there will always be a continuation of that disagreent.
For instance, he rembered that ti when she had set her conditions. They had a dispute in regards to won being protected and should not hold weapons for killing.
She surrendered, that was what he thought. He couldn't believe that she stalled the ti and continued to probe the matter on the second day of staying in his care. The subject of their squabble kept on and on until he had finally genuinely agreed with her. She's purely persistent and annoying, and cute --that he had no option but to submit. And honestly, his views inclined toward won have altered because of her.
"Achis," he heard his na called. He looked her in the eyes. "What's for dinner?" She added, smiling sweetly.
He sneered, "Aren't you eating too much? I just gave you your afternoon snack. Why are you asking for dinner, the sun hasn't even set yet?"
"Because I am working too much! Can't you see the muscle on my bicep? Look!" She exclaid, showing her slender arms to him.
"What muscle are you talking about? I don't see any. Is that fat?" He ridiculed them and smirked seeing how she scowled.
"You're annoying, don't talk to ." She hissed rolling her eyes and turned her back on him to keep on practicing. If Achis had encountered this irreverent attitude at the beginning, there's no doubt that he would kill her on the spot.
But in the present, her every whims and tantrum. Regardless of how bold and impolite she was becoming. He only sees it as adorable and attractive. There was no doubt that he was bewitched by her mystical and enchanting beauty of appearance. Together with the uniqueness of her personality and her attitudes to him.
"What do you want?" He asked after so ti of silence between them but she ignored him. "Nothing? You don't want anything? Nothing, then." She ceased swinging her arm for a second then continued.
How troubleso, Achis thought, smiling, peering at her black gorgeous hair dancing along with her movents.
"I was planning to hunt a boar but since you don't have anything in mind---"
"I want chicken!" She snarled and wasn't even looking in his direction. "Stop talking! I'm trying to focus!"
"Oh, chicken? Alright. So, are you still mad?"
"I'm not mad. I'm busy." She replied dryly in an instance that Achis almost laughed at her.
"I see you are busy." He nettles her and she chooses to ignore him. He instills gazing at her stature with an unknown kind of desire in his eyes.
He already knew who she was. Daughter of Datu Pita, the neighboring banwa. He had guessed before that she was one of Datu's daughters. And he was right, she is Yanar. The first daughter from the first wife of the said Datu, a Bai.
